In the book he suggests that if you want to you can take a multivitamin, so maybe just a general one for overall good health would do.
I googled mouth ulcers and deficiencies and iron, B12 and vit D are all mentioned, so if I were you I’d just pick up a multivitamin making sure those were present.
I take iron, and a mix of vit B’s anyway for other reasons that pre-date me being on BSD and I’ve felt very well and had no problems.

My son is great haha. He was in bed at about midnight last night but you know what kids are like I didn’t expect him to sleep late in the morning. I went to bed about 0100, and woke up about 0900 thinking… oh he isn’t up yet but I guess he will be soon. I drifted off to sleep again and had some weird dreams involving my husband, a long dead relative, jigsaws and a cow. Yes – a pet cow!
I next woke up at 1145, when my son came into my room! I guess I needed the sleep.
I’ve started the day with an almond milk and strawberry shake nyumnyum, I may have a snack later in the afternoon and then we’re having mince for dinner. So I’ll either have bolognaise with courgetti, or I might make some crackers flavoured with chilli powder to have with some chilli. hmmm choices choices. I’m going to stick to 800 today I think after having what I did yesterday.
The two books I ordered with clothes customising ideas have arrived, already excited having browsed a few pages!
My friend and I are planning to go to The Rocky Horror Picture Show in September π so last night we decided that we would (or I would lol) make us something individual and outrageous to wear! We were looking at black dresses online that we could add detail too, but now I’m thinking a rummage in the 2nd hand stores is the way forwards. We can find dresses there that we can then adapt and add things to. I should be quite a bit smaller again by then as well! Not sure of exactly the date we are going but it’s 10 + weeks away. I’m thinking even with a slower rate that should be at least another stone gone by then.
Well I’m off to browse online to decide what I should bake today, it’s become a regular weekend thing to stock up on crackers and try something new! mixed in with amusing my son, catching up on the laundry, changing the beds, cleaning the toilets and looking at my new books. Fun packed day for Izzy lol.
Have a lovely day π

Gaaaaah I’ve realised that I’ve forgotten an ingredient for the gold bullion brownies π± Back to the shops. These better taste amazing…..
By the way, forgot to admit earlier.. Went out for an Indian last night! Not too sinful though. No alcohol for me, a tandoori mixed grill with raita and just a small piece of naan… Considering I would’ve caned an entire portion of pilau and the majority of the naan in the bad old days I’m taking that as a result! My stomach was soooooo gurgly afterwards tho, probably a protest vote against bread after 7 weeks!

Hi gang,
Many thanks for your kind wishes on my errr…. 23rd birthday. πI have decided to suspend my membership for 24 hours, so I have turned my mobile phone off.
Had a lie in, and opened my cards and presents.
Took my Fitbit watch off,
loosened my belt.
Let my hair down.
Eat whatever I want.
Left a few dirty cups in the sink ( well that is HUGE for me)
Ordered an extra pair of specs. This is a luxury for me.
Bought a newspaper and read it outside ( usually read the free one on the web)
I have completed two sedukus and a cross word puzzle.
Had a cooked breakfast, had one slice of toast in a garden centre. It’s been great so far.
Just off to our club house for a shandy, socialise and a boogie. See you all there in a few minutes.
Hope there is a strip o gram , I’ll put my specs on and warm my hands πππππππLove Lucia

Hi Patrice,
I haven’t posted for a bit, have been Dealing with my own demons! However, I just had to say, I am so happy for you on so many levels that some of your issues are slowly being resolved in a way, I truly admire your fortitude in the face of so many problems, and so you should be very proud of how you have dealt with everything while still being strong and keeping to the diet, and well done on your weight loss
I am finding my loss has slowed somewhat, I’m only losing the odd pound here and there and mostly ounces, but, it’s still on the downward path so I’m keeping going
We have had lots of things happening in our family these last two months, may and June are very busy in our household, so that might explain my slow weight loss, too many people to look after and please, so not much time left for me to organise my own needs, same old same old, when you have a big family I suppose!
Finally, I will say that you are definitely going to enjoy a bit of retail therapy when you get chance to get yourself out to the shops, so do enjoy that phase of your weight loss!
Take care I will be thinking about you even if I’m not posting on the forum.

Thank you JCH π We’re still sickeningly smitten with each other. I thought there was a honeymoon period? Never mind, not that I’m complaining. I think we’ve only argued about three times in all these years. Your suggestion sounds really nice! I could pick up some mince and make a nice thick chilli burger, and fry some onions up in olive oil, eat it with a knife and fork with a salad. I have been fancying gammon the last couple of days, with a poached egg. We’ll see what the wholesaler has in. I also need to make sure that tea is ready just to heat up when we get home tomorrow night, or that’s when I’ll snap and shove pizza in π Pudding though, yes that sounds like a plan, I keep forgetting about cream, I’ve been so hooked on the greek yogurt. I’ll let you know what we decided on later π
Wooooooooo go Janey! Well done on size 14, I’m pleased for you, proud of you and jealous simultaneously. Bahahahahahaha that’ll teach you, won’t it? I’ve given up bending down in front of mine a long time ago. Lesson learned. I get ‘Don’t bend over like that in front of me, I’ll be like a rat up a drainpipe…’ How crude.
The worlds most expensive brownies, ever. I think you need to get some of that gold cake spray to emphasise the fact further, Janey. Cut them into gold bullion shapes.
Right, off to the wholesaler and hardware store, hubby is putting shelves up for me today. House isn’t small but it’s stupidly laid out, with zero storage, and like most people, we have too much stuff. Emptied one of the little junk rooms, and I’ve uncovered my rowing machine that I am now light enough to use!! (Bye bye bingo wings!) An exercise bike, and one of those little bikes that are just the pedals, you can use with your arms or legs. Wish me luck, have a lovely Saturday! π

If you have an iPad, go to the blue square box with an upwards arrow in it on the right hand side of the search box.
This gives you options of where you want the page (recipe in this case) to go. Scroll sideways until you find iBooks, an orange icon with an open book. Press this and it will download the page to iBooks, which you can then view off line if you want on the iBooks icon on the iPad.Hope that’s not too confused!
Bissell.

time with good friend, sharing, laughing, setting the world to rights – priceless!π
walking on the beach under a wide blue sky watching the skylarks perform π΅πΆ
eating a BSD friendly salad in a lovely restaurant… with a basket full of bread and butter sitting next to me on the table…and not being tempted. Then saying ‘ no thanks ‘ to all the sweet cakes and sticky puddings on menu only to be offered a bowl of berries and cream (not on the menu) bliss π
Coming home to find no dirty dishes waiting for me…thanks sonπ
A very good dayπ»

I found weeks 3 and 4 really tough, I think I lost 2lbs across both weeks but week 5 saw a big loss. I’m not losing inches but it’s going from somewhere so I just keep plugging away knowing that these plateaus will come but also go too!

Over the 23 week
Happy Saturday I crossed the 23 week line yesterday and I’ve been married 33 years today.
My news update….. My father is still in hospital and has now been sectioned but should be moving to a very nice home next week. Mum is struggling with her Parkinson’s with all the stress. My husband had some good news that his secondary kidney cancer that broke his femur has after 18 months shown some signs of new bone growth. We have still not moved but chain is now complete (again) and fingers crossed I can start living without boxes by end of July.
I have stuck to the plan for 23 weeks now and I’m not using food for emotional or energy boosting needs. I defiantly see food and need food in a different way now.
I have lost 4 stone 12lbs or 68bls in total with another 2 stone I think to go –I have lost every week but it’s slower now but I’m happy with that– and as Lynn said I’m very pleased to be in the ‘over weight ‘ BMI section!!! I wasn’t on any medication for my T2 but my fasting bloods are now normally in the 4s so I have stopped testing. My blood pressure is more often in the normal range than not.
Friends and family all see a difference in me. As with a lot of people writing now after they have lost a lot of weight are finding clothes shopping a happy experience but not sure what to choose!!! — what fun!!!! I fancy the 58 year old rock chic look but still having my classic navy and pearls look handy!!
Here’s to the next 8 weeks and hopefully summer and a house move!! X
Patrice

Way to go Plumptious, in those size 16’s!! Glad your few days away went well. It s amazing how our food preferences can be changed in a relatively short space of time isn’t it? I’m quite happy to watch the rest of the family enjoy desserts etc without feeling hard done by now. I had a small treat last night as we went out for a payday Indian. But I stuck to tandoori mixed grill and raita, and NO alcohol. I had a small piece of naan bread as my sin but no rice.. Unheard of for me!! Stomach seemed to be gurgling a lot after.. Wonder if that’s a protest against bread after 7 weeks?!
Get those pink trainers on and keep up the exercise! They’re a cheery reminder of how far you’ve come π I will probably hit the roller disco again later with the kids. Still need to factor in a bit more structured exercise but trying to walk more!!! -
Wow you guys are good! Thanks for your replies. I’m starting today feeling more positive and determined, you’re right, I can do this!!
-
Good morning all and happy Saturday! Great to read so much positivity today π
Loving the tales of big clothes being cast by the wayside too. I took delivery of a (secondhand) dress in size 14 today (not sure that size dress has featured in my wardrobe for nearly 20 years) and not only does it fit AND look good, the reaction by my other half was ‘enthusiastic’ to say the least! Let’s just say I’ll need to be careful bending down to load the washing machine next time π³
Ah yes, the 85% chocolate IS the heroin one I told you about Lucky. Cals are low because it is literally chocolate and just about no sugar. Also so rich that I’m impressed you managed to eat 3 pcs JCH!!
So Waitrose welcomed me yesterday as I searched for yet more ‘legal’ ingredients for the brownies recipe. I think I’ve spent nearly Β£20 so far so they had better be fantastic! Will try and make them today and report back….
Enjoy your weekend ladies! -
Well our few days away to the seaside was really nice, good weather and lots of extra walking about exploring things. We negotiated meals well -no extra “treats” or items not in the BSD . I didn’t expect to lose any weight but knew I wouldn’t add it on….very happy to say I did lose some….so over the week a few more pounds gone. The bags of candy floss, toffee apples, donuts etc really didn’t appeal to me at all. In my pre BSD days I would have scoffed at least three or four donuts.
Also gone are the size 18 jeans…way too baggy even for use at the allotment.
Had a good wardrobe sort and lots of things jettisoned to either charity shop, recycling bag or a friend (bigger than me now….tables turned!)
Have ordered some new trainers and excited they will be here any time soon. Its a long time since I possessed any. I have walking boots but they are too heavy for the daily walk in terrain that doesn’t warrant them. They are pink…very unusual for me- but they feel cheerful lol!
How’s it going JaneyCD? I know what you mean about fitting exercise in when you have so many other demands on your time. Its lovely now to be early retired and pretty much design your own day. I look at the years gone by and wonder now how on earth I fitted everything in.
Have you tried the family on cauli rice? I think that is more easily disguisable with something like a Korma style curry sauce? -
Congrats on your 17 years π
What about doing a BBQ, you could have meat, salads etc but no buns even if you eat indoors and look for a dessert recipe on Elenas Pantry or have strawberries and cream with some melted chocolate?
I thought the 85% chocolate was very low, calorie wise, in fact I had to double check the pack to make sure I hadn’t misread it!
-
Morning JCH! Huge well done on your weight loss and your next goal! It’s lovely seeing a new number on the scales, isn’t it? I’m coming to join you in fifteen in 6lbs time π (that’s if you’re not in fourteen by then!). I always found that eating more kickstarted things for me in the past, and it’s good to know that you don’t necessarily have to cheat to do it, eating the same good stuff but more of it will do the same.
I don’t know if I’d trust myself with a slab of chocolate yet. The one I had was individually wrapped which is safer for me at the moment lol. Is this the heroin chocolate Janey talks about? That’s not bad though calorie wise, is it?
I do need to break the scale fixation. But… but… I don’t know if I can. I feel somehow that they keep me on the straight and narrow. If there’s a gain (only one so far so not bad…) it keeps me focused and determined that day and if there’s a loss, it spurs me on.
I’ve sat here for an hour looking at an empty word document, trying to meal plan for the week. And… nothing. Drawn a complete blank. I’ll nip to the wholesale butcher later and see if I can get inspired. I do have four extra portions of things frozen from the last couple of weeks that I’d like to use up too, so that’s two days I don’t have to think about cooking from scratch this week for the two of us, which is something I guess. It can get a bit exhausting thinking about it let alone doing it. Tonight though, is going to be a toughie. It’s 17 years since hubby and I got together, and we always celebrate it with a nice meal. Or a takeaway. And (for me, he only drinks two or three times a year, and very little then) a shed load of wine. And a dessert. This is going to be fun π
Onwards to Week 3 and Week 6 then!
-
Thank you!
I’m OK with falling off the wagon (not going mad) as long as getting back on is actually worth it because of all the blood sugar voodoo magic that’s going on in my organs! -
Happy birthday Lucia have FUN and enjoy your life. I have woken to a beautiful day and am going for a country dog walk.
-
Meant to say the effect on your weight loss shouldn’t be catastrophic. π
-
Hiya, Forkers
Indian? Ooooh yum!
So – for today, you could do one of two things. Follow Captainlynne’s example in her pastry and ice cream laden Italian holiday (well worth reading her tips, search for her name) and just decline the cake and drink the tea and eat the middle of the sandwiches.
OR you can say “I will have ONE sandwich and eat half the bread (for example) and ONE cake with mostly cream” and have a really great time. You may feel a bit poorly having sugar and carbs after following BSD, also.
And for the Indian, why not try for the less carby dishes, go for daal rather than rice. And try small amounts of things rather than big portions?
But whatever you do, just COUNT IT IN, congratulate yourself on control if you manage it and forgive yourself if you don’t. AND THEN GET STRAIGHT BACK ON THE WAGON!
You can do it!!!
Good luck π

posted by Igorasusual on An incredible journey-moving on
on 25 Jun 2016 at 08:50 in Welcome to the BSDMike, just wanted to add my congratulations. What an inspirational story and I wish you continued health improvements.
The BSD has encouraged me to read more about low carb/high fat diets and there is other research which suggests that it can assist neurological problems, which would be an added benefit.
My OH and I have noticed additional “liveliness” (difficult to know what else to call it) since cutting out refined carbs. He is Type 2 and has other liver problems and was always “dopey” and lethargic in the mornings. Often slept in, saying he was tired.
Now both of us are wide awake and alert early, and he is generally just behind me getting up for his coffee. It’s Saturday, before 9, and he has been up and about for nearly an hour already.
May be silly, but such a change.
And the best thing is, this isn’t difficult – the food is great, it’s adaptable to every life style, with a little thought you can set yourself up for most occasions/needs. And if you step away from the principles, you can watch the effects and then get back on the wagon.
I had despaired of “getting back into control” – although my issues were minor ones compared to some people’s, they were important to me. But now I want to tell people to try, as the results may be beyond their wildest dreams.
Very best wishes to you – and to everyone here on their journey π

hi everyone
Today I am going to an afternoon tea hen party and next week a wedding (Indian so the food will be care heavy AND IRRESTISTABLE) and I am stressed that all my hard work and weight loss will be ruined!I know the obvious advice will be AVOID CARBS but is just not a possibility.
Will it be a case of DON’T GORGE and just get back on it or am I going to be setting myself back for weeks and put the weight back on with one mess up?
Thanks! -
My new favourite breakfast, but would make a good lunch too. Feta omelette. One egg, splash of milk, lots of black pepper. Whisk, pour into small non stick frypan with splash of olive oil. Cut a finger of feta and crumble onto the omelette while it is cooking. Fry until the egg is set(ish). Tip out, contriving to fold the top over and sandwich the molton feta into the middle. Eat with sliced tomato and a glug of good olive oil. Delicious!

Good morning
It’s weigh in day for me and the scales have been kind, I’m at the end of week 5 and have lost 23lbs. I also reached my next goal which was to get under 16st. I had one piece of birthday cake and had a higher calorie day which seems to have given my metabolism the kick it needed to start the weight loss again. Apart from the cake it was all low carb, I just had a bit more. I might try that again this week (except the cake!)
I’ve also discovered dark chocolate! I love the Green & Black’s 85%, 3 squares is 60 something calories and hits the spot!
I’m weighing myself twice a week and that seems to work for me and stop me getting obsessed with the scales!
All in all a good week for Julia πππ»

Hi everyone,
Are there any vitamins recommended to take alongside the 800?
I’ve developed a terrible mouth ulcer and think I must be run down, even though I considered the diet to be full of good stuff! -
Morning Tokyo π Yes I was really happy with this week’s loss, it’s more than I would have lost in my second week on a ‘traditional’ plan, too, I know that from years of experience on many different diets/eating plans.
I really admire your resolve there, I might take the battery out of mine and ask hubby to hide it. Only thing is, he’ll probably forget where he’s put it by next week π
I can genuinely say that I don’t feel hungry, which has been an eye opener for me. I’m also not missing carbs in the way that I thought I would, I’m not craving them, but I am missing the convenience of them? A sandwich or a jacket potato for lunch. I made Spanish meatballs for tea last night, and I had them with steamed veg, and I was full. As I am most evenings. Sometimes I even leave food now, which was unheard of. There’s no way I could have eaten potatoes or bread with it.
I’m leaning towards mayo too, I mean, it wouldn’t be a vast amount anyway, just enough to give it a coating. I might make up some dressing with greek yogurt though to try, but not put the chicken in it unless I’m certain about it.
The chocolate bars are JD Gross Chocolate Mousse Dark. It’s in a cardboard packaging, and it looks like a slab of chocolate, but inside there’s thin bars of chocolate. In my Lidl it was on the right of the first aisle on the top shelf, and the box had three varieties in it, milk, dark and white.
Haha, yes, I have a wardrobe full of ‘when I lose a few more pounds’ clothes too. Personally I’m not buying any more yet, unless it’s something I need. I have so much weight to lose that I’ve got clothes in size 20 and size 18 to get into first. If and when I’m out of those though, and I need size 16, I will have to have a little bit of a splurge. Why not take an hour or so and try these things on, and see how close you are to fitting them, and hang them in order? They could be another benchmark for you to use π
-
Good morning well done you on you further weight loss !! i bet you were thrilled to bits when you got of the scales.
i have no further scale news to report staying off mine till next friday!! but have been writing all i eat for past few days and finding that helps .
also finding not as hungry as usual which is great
cant help on coronation chicken although think i would be tempted to use less mayo
i have seen you mention those chocolate bars before what are they again we just got a huge new lidl opened so may go for a browse and if some fell into my basket who am i to refuse them!!!!
i am toying with the idea of buying some clothes in the sale or hanging on till lost a bit more !! i am the lady that buys sttuff and it sits in my wardrobe for ages before i wear it so i am sure theres stuff in the wardrobe i havent worn from last year sales!!!! -
Thanks for your kind comments Janeycoughdrop and nettle. I have been given my life back by this incredible diet. Thank you Michael Mosley.
I wanted to let people know what harm diabetes can actually do to your body long term and how this diet can prevent it or even turn it around.
Mike6 -
Hi I have ordered the bsd book so will be starting asap I have been dieting unsuccessfully for 42 years, I feel exhausted, and hopeful of this way of eating. I have very little self control with food, so am hoping for motivation, from this great site. I am pre diabetic, and on warfarin and b.p. Medication. So hopefully start mon or Tuesday’s, once I have digested not literally hehe the book. Appreciate any tips. Can’t wait to get started.
-
Good morning everyone π Week 3 officially starts here, and I am checking in to report a loss of 4lb in Week 2, a total loss of 18lbs so far. Hubby and I will do the measurements and photographs later when he is awake and hopefully he will get his stone today finally π He’s embraced this way of eating too, although it is a tad easier when you’re having every meal cooked, calorie counted and presented to you π I know it’s a bit of a debatable measurement these days and a lot of people don’t use/like it, but my BMI has gone down 3.3 in the last two weeks as well. It’s always nice to see figures going down, so I’ll take that one too π
I did have one tiny bar of the Lidl chocolate at about 2am the other night watching the referendum result as I was flagging a bit (I watched it to the end and I was like a zombie all day yesterday!). Even though tiny, I made sure I savoured it. In the past, it would have been gone in one bite, and swallowed without really tasting it. Eating for the sake of eating.
Today, before doing more house and outhouse sorting, I’m going to meal plan for the next week. We are off to watch the rugby league team we support tomorrow, a 140 mile round trip. That used to mean lunch out, or a hefty packed lunch as we are out of the house until early evening. Oh, and fries and tomato ketchup at the ground… but no more. Toying with the idea of making a salad box for the hubby and I, might attempt a Coronation Chicken mix with greek yogurt instead of mayo, has anyone ever done this? Does it substitute well for mayo once all the spices and seasonings are in, or am I better off using mayo, just less of it?
How is everyone doing, any weigh losses or non scale victories to report? π My next two goals are another 3 lbs off for a stone and a half, and then another 6 lbs lost will take me into the 15 stone bracket. Looking forward to what week 3 brings now π
-
Thank you Raminski, that is so helpful. Ah Greece, love the food especially dolma. Used to make them . Had some bread yesterday, big no no as made me hungry.
-
I’ll start weighing. Out for breakfast and had some bread yesterday, horrors but difficult to resist. Bad decision, but interesting as it made me hungry, so if I wanted it there’s proof the hidden sugar does increase appetite. Out for breakfast again today, and NO bread.
-
Thank you Mixnmatch,I’ll do that.

End of week 6 and my 61st birthday. I’m now 9 kg lighter and healthier than I was 6 weeks ago. Thank you Dr Mosley π
-
The biggest reason any diet fails is because of the ‘well I’ve messed up now I might as well eat the contents of the nearest supermarket’ type feelings.
The real secret isn’t about never falling off the wagon, or never slipping. The real secret to success is getting right back on it. One day of bad eating won’t regain all that you have lost and if you jump straight back on you will likely still show a loss at the end of week 2.
You just need to make a decision here… do you want to give up and then you WILL regain all that you’ve lost, or do you want to jump back on and keep trying? You can do this you just have to choose it!
-
Thankyou! I’ve had such a brilliant day here!
Picked up my friend and then we went to my nieces house to drop off my son there. We had a nice chat and my son was so at ease when we left it was great!
Then we went shopping and stopped in at a cafe for the first challenge of the day. I had a nice green tea, and the two of us shared a chocolate pudding thing – it was very nice too! Then back to the shopping. I picked up some nice bits and pieces in Hobbycraft for my forthcoming projects π
Then we went for dinner at TGI Fridays. I had a crispy duck salad, which came with raspberry and chilli dressing which I asked for on the side as I don’t often like dressings and I’m glad I did as I really didn’t like it lol. The meal was lovely without the dressing though. Then we had pudding! I decided that if i was having pudding that the ‘better’ option was an ice cream based one rather than a cake one, so I had a Sundae with ice cream, strawberries and bits of meringue in it – it was so nice!
Now I’m home and feeling a bit hungry and I know what that is – I’ll be out of ketosis and the carbs are trying to lure me back. I’m having a cup of herbal tea before bed and have absolutely no intention of eating anything until breakfast.
All in all I understand that I have been off the BSD wagon today but I feel positive about it. I think I have made reasonable choices whilst enjoying a little splurge without allowing anything to get outrageous. This is control. This is my future. A life where I can follow this way of eating most of the time and allowing occasional days like today. Thank you BSD for giving me this confidence as well as the knowledge that if today does hinder my weightloss, it will only be a matter of a week before it moves again. It’s ok, it’s all good.
Once I was home and had my son settled into his bed (very late night for him but he was just awesome!) I decided to update my diary here and have my cup of herbal, and the heavens opened with rain. I’ve opened the back door as I just adore the sound of rain. Perfect end to a day to be sat here listening to that! We have rain sounds that we play on our ipod every night at bedtime but nothing beats the sound of the real thing.

Hi Mrsajkay,
You made a wonderful start to the BSD way of eating. 8lbs is a great first week loss, congratulations.
So today you slipped up a little, it is not the end, you can choose to eat well again tomorrow. Do not let one stressful day derail your entire plan. You know you can do this, after all you have been successfully following the BSD for a week and a half already.
Life can often send challenges – perhaps you can plan how you would manage the next time you feel that stressed – so that you don’t resort to old habits and eating carbs? Maybe go for a walk, or a swim, chat to a good friend, take a long bath, or watch a funny film, listen or dance to your favourite music…any activity or hobby that helps you relax?
Good luckπ»

I’ve had a great day – a really great day. I’m grateful for so much.
I’m grateful for the best friend EVER in the history of friends.
I’m grateful to my niece who babysat my son.
I’m grateful to my son for being so adaptable.
I’m grateful to the cast of Footloose for putting on a great show.
I’m grateful that Hobbycraft exists! and that I had money to spend in it!
I’m grateful to the rain. For not starting when we were walking so we stayed dry – but moreso for falling now, suddenly, copiously, deliciously noisily so i can sit here with my back door open breathing in the damp smell of rain and enjoying the beautifully relaxing sound of it falling.
Did I mention I’d had a great day π

I felt a little light headed for two days and took my BP and it’s lower than it’s ever been so I emailed my doc to ask for a regimen to start reducing my meds!! I have told her for a long while I would get off them and I will for sure!
Also, my new, and more alkaline diet (read as lots of green vegies) is helping my tummy issues. So glad I listened to my intuition!
Hereβs my specs for the weeks if it helps anyone:
π·Weekly weigh insπ·
Week 1 β 9 lb lost
-4.5 inches
Week 2 β 3 lb lost (12)
-5.25 inches
Week 3 β 5 lb lost (17)
-4.75 inches
Week 4 β .5 lb lost (17.5)
β 1.25 inches
Week 5 β nothing lost
Week 6 β 6.6 lbs lost (-24.3)
-1.75 inches
Week 7 -1.4 lbs lost (25.1)
-2.25 inches
Week 8 β 4.6 lbs lost (29.5)

If you have an iPhone or iPad, there is a wonderful App called ‘Paprika’. You can copy the link, open paprika and it will say “Detected URL, would you like to load URL’ then you save recipe to paprika. There is a cost involved but it is so useful.
You can even add this website to the app and then load recipes one at a time that way. It also has grocery lists and meal planning. The only downside is if you want it for iPhone and iPad there are 2 charges.
