Yes, Autumn this forum is great! I’m starting to feel like the old me. No new energy yet, but it’s getting better. A good point though is my sleep has been way better! πŸ™‚

Ruthdownunder I love the things you list that we ONLY need to give up. Sometimes it feels like life is not fun, but then I try to think once I get close to goal I can start to introduce some things back in periodically. It just when I have such a big weight amount to lose, I get lost in how long it is going to take… Thanks for the encouragement and suggestions.

I am envious of some of the foods you guys mention, I don’t know what they are like and it’s hard to find some things in Canada – full fat cottage cheese and yogurt for instance. I had to go to a health food store to find them here in Saskatchewan. It was way more expensive than regular food from the supermarket, but I just remembered that I am eating less of it so it all equals out in the end. πŸ™‚

    Hi Izzy,
Yes 10 sizes! In fact I just went back to the shop to get a new bra and it’s 8 sizes smaller!!! I just got one. They are so dang expensive and I am too frugal to spend on those since I will need more new ones later. I can wash it nightly!
Now I know why the shoulder straps were all fall off.
    Happy day to you!!

    MODERATION IS KEY!

Stop beating the hell out of yourself. I too have downer days. I started last Wednesday!
If you are not used to the food, then you do get aches like cramps.

CHINA”S SECRET RECIPE FOR BLOATING AND ACHES

What is it? They have a secret? Well, it goes like this:

Suck on a piece of raw ginger root or make a ginger tea. You can find the tea anywhere. It helps the stomach and digests hell of a lot of the crapola in the stomach. 4,000 years of wisdom…… They can not be wrong. Notice Chinese restaurants and Japanese too use a lot of ginger in their cooking.

Oh wow. I have to share with you this gem of wisdom from my husband’s Jawbone app today. And I quote.

‘Chopsticks have been shown to slow eating speed (no sh*t, Sherlock!), leading to less chance of overeating.’

Well. That’s CLEARLY where we’ve all been going wrong!

The only time I have EVER been able to use chopsticks is when, in frustration, I have speared something large enough with one. Oh, there was this one time. I made what my husband calls ‘A Wigan Kebab’. It was a mini pastie, a pork pie, a cocktail sausage roll, and another mini pie threaded onto a chopstick.

    Hi all,
I went a bit overboard yesterday having half a block of haloumi and a ball of mozerella and then a giant chocolate bar!
Apart from the emotional torture I am now going through, I have had insane bloating and cramps all day today. Could this be because I’m not used to sugar?
I have never had problems with cheese before but could my stomach be freaking out as I’m not used to that much?
I drank a lot over the weekend and had carbs but didn’t go mad as I was on holiday but didn’t have any stomach problems until today.
Also HAVE I UNDONE ALL MY HARD WORK?! It’s unrealistic to think I can avoid carbs and alcohol for the rest of my life in terms of social events so I’m trying to work out if this is even worth it?

This weekend I am a party pooper. Staying here in the mountains and go swimming in the lake instead of going on a wild trip to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It is the capital of the state Pennsylvania. But the high life is a town next to it called Hershey, Pennsylvania. Yeh, that Hershey.

    THE SWEETEST PLACE ON EARTH

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LJ5H2TZ3xM

I have not been to HersheyPark in over 5 years. But, there is no way I am going with my sister to such a place. I wish I did…but no willpower there.

Stay in Adirondacks and go for a dip and kayaking. I won’t see any junk food saying hello to everyone!

Maybe next year I will go on such an adventure.

Keep your willpower strong everyone! We all fall off the wagon; but get back on it again! πŸ™‚

Hi Weescotty, hope you enjoyed your birthday and welcome back on the wagon! i like taking photo’s as well mostly of stone circles and castle (and my kids)

Hi Happy, excuse me, but did you just say 10 sizes? 10 SIZES!!!! OMG Happy that is just amazing! You must look incredibly different! Well done you really deserve your success!

Well the kids are all fed and I’ve made my salsa and the fajita stuff is all at that stage where it can be sorted in 10 mins once the little one is in bed. Looking forward to it.

After that I plan to escape to my den. I’ve taken in all the other wood from outside that was waiting to be burned in the chimnea. There are sections of my daughters old bed a couple of table legs and the sides from my sons cot. I have a few ideas and plan to re-arrange my space a little. I’ll see what I can do with what I have. I’d like the original workbench to be just for sewing and plan to make an area at the other side for my painting. I also have plans for other stuff… but it is all still forming in my mind.

I’ve been watching youtube tutorials of people making clever organising drawers for lightweight things from cardboard and foam board which is pretty inexpensive…So I’m hatching plans to build with those ideas between the roof supports. Utilising the space I have to it’s best advantage. I love the planning and thinking and making! The whole process.

Well it’s time to be off and have some snuggles before my sons bed time.

Right! I am here and you have my full, undivided attention!

The Chris Martin erotica novel you were referring to? You’d read it? I’ll write it. 50 Shades of Kale. Oh yes. You read it here first.

Eps – tell your OH he is a grand scale LIGHTWEIGHT – he hasn’t even been on it 12 hours and he’s screaming for chips? Together we will break him.

Janey/Runforfun/Everyone – OPPO is *jazz hands* AMAZING! Oh. My. God. We bought ours from Co-op – Waitrose didn’t stock it? Now the magnitude of this is that our local Co-op is notoriously crap. Walk in to a big fanfare of a Β£5 meal deal… only 3 of the products available. We didn’t hold our breath on the half an aisle freezer section but – in all fairness – there it was. Salted Caramel and Mint. Bought 2 SC as I’m not a huge mint lice cream lover. We’ve had a little tip of a spoonful as we were stuffed after our tea, we’re going to have some later. Although to be fair, you could actually incorporate the whole tub into your daily calories. Daily. This is going to be massive for BSD’ers and the broken hearted. Step away from the Ben and Jerry’s.

Yayyyyy Janey, let me know when it arrives and we will connect and do step battles! I keep it on at all times except when showering. I know you can wear it when showering but I’m old fashioned and wary.

Eps – is it just me and a coincidence, or has your deep sleep gone up since you first had it? When I first checked my sleep for the first couple of months, it was bonkers, as is my hubby (had his for 2 or 3 days now). Now, I have a pretty even(ish) deep/light ratio. If I sleep 7 hours it will be 3 deep 4 light etc, but back in January it was 1 deep 6 light or something mad like that?

    And that is all!

I am a few weeks into BSD and I miss some of the foods I used to eat like fried chicken and wings, and that sort of thing. My neighbor just got this new air fryer contraption and she makes chicken wings without the skin and without the fat. That seems like a pretty good compromise.

Anyone have one of these? Which one is the best one to get? I did a google search and found this: https://airfryguy.com/air-fryer-reviews/ – the philips one looks pretty good. Anyone who has an air fryer, can you chime in and tell me if they are worth it or not? Thank you!

    11:15 baby carrots and Hummus
    1 Peach

    Dinner:

Oh, man! I am in hunger for a trip to HersheyPark. It is an hour west of Philly. But, I am not going with my sister. I can not hold my willpower in such a place. I am like Augustus in my video before at Willy Wonka! I am banning myself from such an amusement park. I walk by the hershey store in Times Square and I get tempted to buy a 4 pound Hershey Kiss. Will power is the key!!!!

    Be Strong! Remember your goals!

Hopefully, I do not do more snacking at night tonight. I will be watch President Clint at The Philly Convention. hope to be on schedule and go to bed at 10 PM tonight.

Change the habits and then all is out of whack. My other KRYPTONITE is going off schedule and procrastination!

One other thing info and have clients do is log all our other measurements of success like:
I got off both BP meds!
    My bs is normal!
My dog can sit on my lap now!
I don’t need an extender on the airplane!
I can go to the theater without feeling crunched in their chairs.
    I walk better!

Just any positive thing you notice IS another measurement of your success do get a little notebook and log those down also.

Whenever you feel discouraged look at your of and remind yourself how many positives have occurred from your sticking with the plan!

Oh yes! Opted for red wine most of the time when I drank, but also had the odd G&T, a couple of whiskies and brandies and some champagne – had to, as we came home via the champagne region, so it was de rigueur! Didn’t drink everyday though and drank moderately on the days I did – with the exception of one occasion, when I woke with a slight hangover!

Go and enjoy your holiday and the wedding. Just get back on track when you get home.

Lucky – you know what you need? A nice yoga class :-))))) *runs away before gets a slap ;-))))))
But you sound bored – I think you need some newness. What can you do – grab someone to go to a new class or a new something or oooooooooo my goodnesss could you get a dog?????? Not that I’m advocating people to just run out and get dogs to cheer them up without thinking about it but imagine how amazing it would be to have a gorgeous rescue dog to bring on walks!!! You’d have some time to yourself because you would be doing a job (bringing dog out for a walk) and you could make sure it was YOUR dog – not the kids, not your husbands, but YOURS. And you would be his favourite.

Don’t mind me…. but it just came to me like a flash of inspiration so I MUST be on to something :-)))))))
