SUNNY Happy bluebell time!💛
WINDY so sad about your lame horse, poor darling ❤️
*~ Just one today and a massive one! Had a haircut! So thankful for the whole thing! A lovely sunny morning, seeing hairdresser and manicurist again, first time since December, catching up on their news and laughing, feeling so much better with my hair done! Back home now with feet up and a cuppa. Life is sweet! X

SUNNY Happy bluebell time!💛
Look at that Yowser, you’ve rolled us on to another page! Great news about your pampering ….lucky girl!!
Julz, so sad to read the news about your horse, such a shame after all the effort to bring him back to health.
My positives are …..
👩👧visit from granddaughter and her mum was such a joy! Sun and dry weather, allowed us to sit outside as per restrictions and had the fire pit burning as the evening drew closer.
🌳 the bluebells in the woods are just beginning to open. Planning a return visit next week, when they should be in full bloom.
🐑 unexpected exercise … part of a flock of sheep had found their way from their field into the woods, so OH and I had to do some energetic sheep rangling! Managed to get them back into their field after some effort and block the gap, to hopefully stop them sneaking back again.
🌞 the better weather today, allowed me the chance to spray and drench the roses. More buds are developing …. soooooo looking forward to having roses blooming in the garden again.
Keep looking for those positives folks!
Just Jokes for you today…Just received from a friend in Oz! Use up some calories exercising your chuckle muscles!xxx

I have a few positives from my day …..
🛍 pleased to find charity shops are open now. Did a bit of a raid on a couple locally …. a navy Fenn Wright Manson dress in silk, a vase, a pair of glasses for cocktails and a stair basket. 🤭 Total spend £18😀
🌸 bought an azalea plant reduced to £1.50. It’s flowers are a bit bedraggled, but the plant is basically sound 🙂
💛 the budded daffs I was given yesterday, are starting to open now … they are doubles so very frilly and lovely perfume as well of course.
🍸 found litre bottle of Blue Sapphire gin in Tesco for £22 on club card offer … couldn’t resist!
🎉🎊Has been a good day!🎊🎉
Hope your day has been a good one too and you found some positives along the way … do tell!
Sorry not to have been around but I have been busy!!!!
From doing nothing my diary has been quite full this week.
I met an old friend in her garden yesterday, and met up for coffee with our Gang Girls ( although we are really old ladies)! today which was lovely too.
Also, I had an 8 am hair appointment (!!!!). This morning followed by a nail appointment. It’s so lovely to be getting out and about albeit slowly.
The best news is that now we can travel outside our areas, DD and SIL are ‘popping’ up to see us for a picnic in the garden on Saturday. They can’t stay overnight yet and will only be here for a few hours but it will be so nice to see their faces.
I just hope the warm sunshine lasts!
PS loving the jokes Yowzer!
OH Busy, it sounds like you have had a really fun packed day! Fingers crossed for good weather for your family gathering at the weekend.
Just a couple of positives from me …..
👩🍳 the aga has gone catiwompus, but have managed to adjust and tweak the date night menu, so that I can cook most of it on the Foreman grill, so no need to postpone.
🥘 advance prepped all that I could for said date night meal.
Have a lovely evening everyone.
Hi everyone, hope you have a good weekend!
*~ Didnt sleep at all last night but it meant I watched the day slowly come alive and its now sunny and bright
*~ Jab Two yesterday and no ill effects so far
*~ Enjoyed coffee and cake sitting outside one of our favourite eateries. Such a bonus to be out on a warm afternoon and so grateful to all who have made the vaccines possible xx
🌷🌸 Choose Peace,Love and Unity 🌷🌸
Yowzer, missing sleep is not good for our body or wellbeing and as dear hubby used to say, ‘Listen to your body’, – take it easy and be kind to yourself.
We are excited about seeing DD today and the sun is shining at the moment though it seems strange to be planning and preparing to entertain again after all this time!
Have a great weekend Jivers and keep dancing.
Hi fellow Jivers
We had a great day yesterday with our DD and SIL – it was just lovely to see their faces and have to confess that we did have a hug!
The sun shone all day and we had a very leisurely lunch in the garden and a good chatter.
They were only here for a few hours but
It won’t be long before we see them again.
Having a quiet day today reading the papers and cloud bathing!
Hi everyone. BUSYBEE!Im so pleased for you at last seeing DD and SIL!💕
My start of the week positives…
*~ Sunny morning! Just been on my balcony throwing wild bird seed, and a very young Mum and baby went past, both waving and smiling up at me.
*~ Had a nasty shock over weekend,DD passed out in work friday evening and was many hours waiting to be seen in A and E.
But is ok ( ish ) now after lots of tests. Grateful it wasnt any worse, she saw a few bad sights while waiting.
At least shes back home now. Thanks NHS for being there when we need you 🌻
*~ No ill effects at all for me over weekend after my second jab. Everyone working at the Vaccination Centre was a star, from the medical student who was very gentle administering the vax, to the volunteer who escorted me to the loo! I think she accompanied me to ensure I didnt just scarper instead of waiting the obligatory 15 mins post jab.
Even tho each helper had to say the same thing over and over to every new person arriving, they all had a smile and endless patience.XX 💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💚
Yowzer, I’m sorry yo hear about your daughter but let’s hope it was ‘just one of those things’ and won’t happen again.
We’re off to have our second jab this morning and most our friends are now ‘done’.
We are so lucky here in the UK – we have relatives in Canada and Australia (as well as DS in USA) who tell us their infection rates are going up and the vaccination programmes are very slow.
Hoping for another couple of hours sitting in the sun this afternoon!
Have a good day one and all.
Good luck BUSYBEE with your jabs, hope no nasty after effects!!
Im doing the lateral tests at home, started yesterday. They send you a pack and you test yrself twice a week and report back the results.
Things got off to a good start as I tested negative, but on the down side, the pack only contained one testing strip. They dont appear able to simply send more testing strips. I had to apply for another pack!
There’s mixed reports on the lateral tests accuracy,so Im not sure if Im just wasting my time! Some reports say theyre only 2 % accurate. Plus there could be false negatives / false positives depending what you read!
I guess its all just a big learning curve.
*~ Anyhoo thats my positive for today,Im trying to do my bit to help us all get back to normal.Lets hope that normal will be a better normal and we all learn from it.
*~ Bright and sunny again!
*~ Cant think of a number three as yet today, just glad I woke up to another day of living!
Love and Peace to all xx💛💚❤️💕💛💚❤️Xx
We received our second jab yesterday and just like Yowzer, the whole experience was well organised and everyone was kind and professional. No side effects apart from a sore arm which is no worse than that following a flu jab.
I seem to be busy dealing with paperwork regarding Hubby at present – who knew that I would be able to do any of this? I am lucky to have family and friends to help and support me – I count that as a big positive.
Yowser, we’re doing the lateral flow tests too … all good so far.
Glad you were okay after your jab, Britta.
I’m overdue to post positives, so here goes …
🌳 visit to the woods on Monday with OH and grandson. Was a great way to spend a couple of hours …. sun, blue sky, bird song, sheep bleating in near by fields, bluebells opening and new leaves unfurling…. who could ask more.
👩🍳 at last, after 10 days refusing to burn properly, the Aga is cooperating and is running like a dream and the tabletop cooking equipment is consigned to the cupboard once again.
🌦 sunny most of the day, but some late afternoon rain today, which the plants really need right now.
I saw this on YouTube, oh to know such pure joy ….
Thursday again folks!
*~ Today is EarthDay 21
Bob Marley quote, very fitting for today…
~ “ The truth is,no amount of money or gold is worth more than bees, trees and water” ~
*~ lovely bright sunny morning, the birds are singing!
*~ Did the 8 a.m. “trying to get through to doctors to make a telephone appt” thing. Got through at 8 :01 …very lucky today, sometimes have to redial for fifteen mins or more
*~ Straight after that,my grocery order came. £5 voucher towards next order as an apology, two items missing. Also they subbed a massive milk for one pint and a large butter for smaller size. Bargain! 🥳🥳
Yowser your subs sound good! I tried to order hand sanitiser last year (stupidly at the peak!) and they subbed it for TWO LITRES of liquid soap. Then another time I ordered vanilla yoghurt, they sent a vanilla candle. And another time I ordered ground ginger for a very specific recipe, no ground in stock so instead they sent me 2kg root ginger. It’s still in my freezer gradually getting used in curries and stir fries!
My positive for today – I am still alive despite the most horrendous carb flu of my life!
Oh LAUREN! I keep hearing stories about these crazy subs! A vanilla candle in place of yoghurt is mindboggling! Where’s the sense in that!
A few bad ones I’ve heard about is a red hair dye subbed for red peppers, floor wipes for toilet rolls, bird seed subbed with flea treatment for dogs!
One last one…four crusty rolls replaced by chamomile teabags! 😀
My order came from a supermarket ( clue…brrrr its icy! Its freezing!) They dont do subs at all, they just say unavailable and knock the price off the bill. Twice Ive had unavailables,Ive had an email later, apologising and giving me a code for £5 off next order. Several times now when Ive only wanted a pint of milk they’ve sent a huge one at no extra cost X
BUZZYBEE Glad youre now all jabbed up👏🏽👏🏽X
SUNNY 👏🏽👏🏽 on doing the lateral tests,we’re doing our bit to try to help defeat this nasty virus!X
is it ok?
Is what okay sarehkkk, if you are asking to join the group, of course it is okay. I dont think we have anyone from India on here.
Checking in with some positives from today ….
👩🍳 good day in the kitchen, prepping for tomorrow’s date night.
💦 watered all the plant containers this evening, as we haven’t had any proper rain for a good while now … that’s a plus, as we’ve had sunny days🙂
📰 completed the village news letter ready for printing.
🧺 got two loads of laundry done.
Hope you’ve had a day with lots of positives, whatever you’ve been doing.
Morning! Just registering a positive feeling really, rather than anything in particular. I’m past the worst of the initial carb cravings, weight loss going well, but mostly I think its the change in weather. I’m very much solar powered, so waking up to sunshine makes a big difference to my mood – planning a BBQ tonight and might even invite a friend to come and sit in the garden because we can do that now. And I might risk it and put some seeds in, surely we’re past the frost?! Also I had my jab yesterday and have not had any significant side effects yet, so feels like winning all around!
Hope you all have great positive weekends!
BRITTA enjoy yr bbq and SuNNY have a great date night! X
*~ DD and SIL are having a detox weekend from phones, computers etc this weekend. DD still not well after collapsing in work last Friday, think this will do her good.
*~ Got a surprise going out for a walk. To my amazement, three ten pound notes were lying on the floor in the communal hall here. Have put a notice up and await a call from the owner.
*~ Tree outside my windows is a late blossomer. Suddenly burst out into the most lovely pink blossoms,so nice to see
Have a grrrrrooovy weekend everyone! X
Apologies for being absent and not posting for so long. The weekend was a busy one and somehow time got away from me. However, it’s time to post some positives, so here goes …
🌸 loads of gardening done over the weekend while the weather was cooperating. Think every muscle ached as a result and ended up in bed before nine on both nights, but definitely worth it.
🍸 discovered a new fav cocktail, Sherry Twist No.1 … I know, naughty, but has to be done sometimes🤭
👍🏻 despite the awful situation in India, pleased to say my friends there are okay at present.
🛍 on my once weekly shopping trip this morning, I returned a dress to a charity shop, as it didn’t fit well, but came away with a new top. Then visited a little antique/2nd hand store and bought a pretty little sapphire ring, to keep as a ‘something old & something blue’ wedding gift for my daughter.
Think that’s it for this time. Hope you’re all finding positives and that some of you will come and tell us about a few of them too.
SUNNYB! How lovely about the sthing blue for yr DD ❤️
*~ My lateral flow rapid covid tests at home are so far negative.
*~ Had a blow dry and a catch up with my hdresser this avvo.
*~ Local library open now two days a week…Took library books back after fourteen months loan!
*~ Charity shop took a lot of unwanted stuff off my hands, then we had a lovely outdoor coffee.
Such a lovely afternoon! Like you SUNNY I’m out only once a week,so I really enjoy it.💕
I’m back and it’s good to hear so many friends here posting good positives.
We met friends for an outdoor lunch last Wednesday (The Red Fox Yowzer!) and it was so lovely to do something normal again. However we were so cold and went home and put the heating on!!!!!
Also DS and BIL came over for coffee and cake(not for me) and a chat – it’s been a long time.
Next weekend DD and SIL are coming up again so I’m planning menus and places we can visit safely.
It’s great to have something to look forward to.
Have a good bank holiday one and all (UK)
It’s lovely to finally get a little family time isn’t Britta? Even distanced, it’s great to actually be in their presence again. We saw some of our family over the weekend …. so that is my first positive … and my others are …
🌳🌸 really good gardening session yesterday and I managed to get in another hour this morning, before the rain arrived.
💦 Crazily, I’m looking forward to the rain, as the garden desperately needs it, although my new moisture meter, means I can now check which plants need watering and which are okay. Figured having it would save on water.
👍🏻 OH is making good progress with the ongoing household DIY …. should have a properly useable living room again in a couple of weeks.
💉 get my 2nd covid jab tomorrow…. yippee!
That will do for me for this time, except to say I’m grateful that all family and friends remain well, even my friends in India and Turkey.
Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend and remember to drop in and post a positive or two when you have a moment, we’d live to read about them.
I am still here lurking in the shadows but am taking a break from posting for a while. I will still be watching for your positives and willing you all on.
Hiiii folks! Just a quickie as trying to spend less time online and be more active instead!
*~ Bought a lovely summery nighty ,one for me and one for friend who has May birthday. Like it so much might buy it for Beaus twin daughters, birthday in June.
*~ Finding I can manage well on 1000 cals a day just now. Not counting carbs means I can have more fruit and veg. Scales need new battery but I do feel lighter,so will stick with this for now,tho I’m still a low carber at heart.
*~ DD still unwell after funny turn in work, but she ‘s starting to feel a bit better and is benefitting from being signed off work. She had a massage yesterday which gave her a boost.
Love to all ❤️💕 take care,be safe,keep well ! X
Apologies for being AWOL again. Busybee, enjoy your lurking and tech detox …. completely necessary from time to time. Yowser, hope DD will be better soon and enjoy your extra activity.
Guess it might be just me on the positives for awhile, so better kick things off with some for this weekend…
🙋♀️ visited friends yesterday afternoon, haven’t seen them for a couple of years, so great to catch up.
🌸 was gifted a plant by said friend … big plus for me as it was one that I’ve been looking to add to the garden for awhile now.🙂
💨 high winds didn’t do any damage in the garden.
🌱 repotted my fuschias, they are still tiny, but needed more space.
🍸 great date night dinner on Friday, all courses worked well and lovely to evening with OH.
That will do for now … hope you have all been blessed with at least one posotive this weekend. Of course, would love to hear about them if you have time🙂.
