I will have to do the fridge before sister in law comes. Squash. Cartons of double cream. Cartons with dregs of yogurt. Two out of date packs of corned beef. And an iceberg (literal, not lettuce) almost reaching middle of fridge. Giving me about 5cm of space on each shelf 🙂

Oh Frog, must have still been the anaesthesia at work last night. I remember being on a mad one the day after I had a caesarian, shouting rubbish to those who said it was still anaesthetic. I felt great! I was walking around and… crashed and burned big time 2 days later in a lot of pain lol. Very deceptive. Hope the painkillers do the trick!

Well, I was going to ask, seeing as you’re the expert on things fridge related, would you like to come and do mine??? 👩

Hi all, nice to see the lunacy has continued in my absence. My back is much better thank you and the gym is back on the agenda, although strangely housework is still forbidden (he he!!!!!). Have just returned from a lovely long weekend in London eating and drinking far too much but it was a special occasion….. 😀
Back to the plan and normal life 😟
Still determined to loose another half stone before my next holiday . 👍

Yes still conning the offspring….Not really kids as they are 23 and 19 but the house was lovely and tidy when we got back after our weekend and all the washing was done. Think the back problem genuinely will be an ongoing problem due to too many years running on roads but treadmills are the next best thing can’t wait to get back on it, keep that step count up Janey and Lucky👏👏

Well, of course it has! Welcome back Gymgirl 🙂 Glad your back is better and normal service resumed at the gym! Don’t overdo it too soon though.

I wouldn’t worry about it, we’re all going to encounter this at one time or another, the important thing is what you do when you’re back home. In the past I would have used going away as an excuse to ‘extend’ the bingeing. I think as long as ‘back on it’ is the motto when we return to normal life, it will be ok. When is next holiday, have you got a good time scale?

I stand corrected on the Graze boxes! Frog, found one!

Oh I’ve been shocking today, 882 steps at last count, I am HURTING today ladies! HURTING! I don’t care if you go out and walk a half marathon tonight, Janey, I will gladly relinquish my crown to you! Still, it got us moving more, didn’t it? And tomorrow (final day of duel) is another day 😉

Next stop is to book a Body Balance Class. I used to do them before I had my boy – although to be honest, the best bit of it was the 10 minute little lie down (aka ‘relaxation’) at the end when the instructor turned the lights off. I swear I actually fell asleep on one occasion – just hope I didn’t do one of those embarrassing piggy snorts!!

Cor I could eat a horse, I’m starving, I thinks it’s the dull weather and not being busy here in the shop, so to much time to think, I fancy that lovely white cabbage with gravy and chicken, and lots of pepper. So got to go shopping for one. We have a very abrupt village greengrocer here, you have to get there prompt to get anything, that’s if he has got one mind you. Hiya

Thought i would join the thread. I started the 800 cal 2 weeks ago and lost 12lb last time i weighed. Currently i am on hols in Wales UK and have struggled the past 2 days to avoid the white stuff and sugar. I noticed though the response i had to the reintroduction of these was quite amazing. I have literally a bad taste in my mouth, headache, irritability and muggy head. Bloatedness and nausea. I am back on track now though but fighting some wicked sugar cravings. Thats just 2 days of letting slip. I cant believe the impact of this. On the 800 cals though i really dont have much energy and hope it changes. I also noticed though i dont have the level of anxiety when eating well, it might be because there isnt the unspent carb energy flying around. Glad ive seen the thread and looking forward to trying the recipes. Am already a big fan of total. I have it everday. Can i ask do people who drank tea still drink tea, i do but wondered if i shouldnt?
    Thanks

Yes, we’re still here! It happens to some people some times, hasn’t happened to me yet though! Yet… Feet up, sounds like I’ve done nothing but today! I go from one extreme to the other!

Ooooh cabbage, my favourite, could eat a plate of cabbage on its own. One thing that always sticks in my mind, back when I was an impoverished student, and I mean impoverished, I was starving, and had no money. One of my classmates bought me dinner from the canteen and it was a case of taking what I could that I actually ate from the leftovers (very little at that time of day). I had a plateful of spaghetti, topped with cabbage and a side order of roast potatoes. I put salt and vinegar on it and to this day, I’ll never forget that meal. One of my best ever. Odd.

I do piggy snorts Janey, when I’m dozing in my chair. I’m not asleep enough to be unaware I’m doing them, but also asleep enough not to give a poop emoji 😀

Hi Pd11 – the tiredness should pass, if there isn’t another underlying reason such as a health condition. Usually 2 – 3 weeks is the worst time on this. Certainly reintroducing foods won’t have helped – I haven’t experienced this YET (but no doubt will) but there’s plenty who have.

I don’t drink tea but I drink coffee, and as far as I know, it’s allowed. Thank God. Or I would be cantankerous!

    Welcome 🙂

Hellooooo Pd11.. you’ve probably got carb flu if you’re 2 weeks in, which will explain cravings, tiredness, irritability and almost certainly feeling cold! It’ll take a few days to get through it then you will feel MILES better! Energy will also come back and food will taste better.. promise! I was flexible on my cals intake.. going up to 1000 a day, you will still see weight come off fairly quickly. And if you like your tea.. drink it! But drink plenty of water too. I am a tea fiend, but have reined it in to about 4 cups a day now, interspersed with sparkling water.

Stay strong.. by this time next week, you’ll feel like a new person!

Yes, do have to say have curtailed my coffee intake too, because the calories and carbs in my milk all add up, even if it is skimmed that I’m using! Usually have one in the morning, afternoon and at night once we’re settled down for the evening. If I am out, I’ll go for black coffee, to be certain.

Ooh I knew I had something I had to admit to I slipped up the first time with carbs yesterday. I was famished about 8 pm and I made myself cheese and biscuits, and I have to say the taste was so extreme, but cor have I felt sluggish today. So I know you lovely BSD peeps, don’t judge, but I feel the same today, so I’m just admitting this out loud so to speak, to stop me doing it again. So there it’s public now. I think this eating carbs and sugar again can be likened to being drunk. I’m sure most of us have been *that* drunk that you swear you’ll be put off for life, right? And you might go a few weeks, months even without touching alcohol. And then, you forget how bad it felt and do it again. As long as we pick ourselves up and carry on, and accept that it probably is going to happen occasionally, it’ll be just fine. Especially the picking ourselves up and carrying on. It’ll be second nature to us one day.

HI PD11! I drink tea but yes, i count the cals in,as others have said..i like strong tea so i only put a trickle of milk in .
I’ve noticed like you i feel less anxious and jittery in general ( not today tho..GRRRR)

HI LUCKY and JANEYCOUGHDROP..thank you..i feel so reassured now about this awful wk 2/3 blip! Shopping this avvvo, wanted to hurl items at the supermarket wall. I gave a woman her purse back, which she left on the counter, and got no thanks. Shouted YOURE WELCOME..
Glowering on the way home in the car, i donned the Sarong of Sulkiness..(handy for hiding lumpy thighs) ..then it got chilly so i threw a Cardigan of Crankiness around my shoulders. Hopefully i will stop being a cow soon.

Loving the Sarong of Sulkiness! That’s going on the list! Oh, I hate rude people, a thank you costs nothing, does it? Especially the hassle you saved her in having to cancel bank cards etc. It will pass, just be kind to yourself in the interim 🙂

Gavin, I am absolutely famished today, I’ve had my tea and some Oppo ice cream and I could still eat my arm. Other days I eat my tea and I’m done til the next day. Might have to relent and have some Greek yogurt later. Hope your spag bol hit the spot!

Oh, and hubby just opened his tub of Mint Oppo. Tried the tip of a spoonful and grabbed the pot off me, making off for the living room! I headed him off at the pass and measured out two scoops for him. I had to try a tip of a teaspoon too, and Mint Oppo passes the test as well, and I’m not a mint ice cream fan. My Salted Caramel will last twice as long now 😀 Only thing is, our only shop that stocks it doesn’t have the vanilla 🙁 booooooo.

I think so 🙂 I love the salted caramel one (we’ve already gone through a tub and a half…) I love a scoop on a homemade (legal! Almond flour 😉 ) chocolate fairy cake, slightly warmed up. Cake and ice cream for about 170 calories, can’t complain for an occasional treat, eh? Little things like that keep me on the straight and narrow, I find. The children were all scarfing triple layer chocolate cake at the time, and subsequently I didn’t feel tempted 🙂
