Yes, great news for us in the UK. Let’s hope the roll out runs smoothly as it’s a great logic problem,
What a lovely surprise from your DD Yowzer – this little things mean such a lot.
Seats on the bus seem fairly full at the moment and I can see lots of mojos being held high!

Hi Pozzy People!First day out of lockdown for me and Beau, very excited! Posted some christmas presents, had hair washed and blown dried by my lovely hairdresser, had a coffee in our fave place, which was empty. Some people arriving as we left. Sat down by the river in the dark looking at the lights shining over the river. We gave you a wave BUSYBEE! Plenty of people out exercising dogs…lots of the dogs were running about wearing fluorescent collars. In the dark it looked like lots of fireflies,so pretty !
XXXX
Ps can it really be friday again already tomorrow! X -
Excitiiiiiing day today folks!
Our friend served Sean Bean in Oddbins ( other wineshops available) today..he’s filming a drama here
No other news on this wintery day!
“December: a month of lights, snow and feasts. And to make amends and tie up loose ends. A time to finish what you started and hope that your dreams come true!”🎄🌲🎄🌲🌲🎄🌲🎄🌲🎄🎄🌲🎄🌲🎄🌲 -
Liking the Sean Bean positive, Yowser!
🖋collectively we have found and written about enough positives to fill 87 pages …. we could get to 90 pages by Christmas, if we really give it a go!
👰daughter collecting her wedding dress tomorrow … thanks to covid, no date set yet, but one step closer.
🏠 our Turkish house build plans progressing slowly … after much hassle and stress, all legal stuff now in place … phew!
No matter how big or how small, all positives count, so please be sure to share yours with us too. Have a wonderful weekend…. -
Last week I was on a high with a good weight loss and this week the opposite as I have to confess I’ve fallen from grace!
I smelt hot buttered toast, took a mouthful and that was it!! The nasty white stuff took over and I am having trouble resisting it.
The little devil is telling me it’s my birthday soon and Christmas is on its way and silly me has listened.
I think I need a break from always thinking about food, portions and weighing scales although I also know I will reign it in eventually.
I suppose the last comment is a little positive!
X B -
SUNNY lets try and make it 100 pages for Christmas! Wooohoooo Go us!
SUNNY thats lovely news about yr daughter getting her dress today- how exciting! and are you looking for yr Mother of the Bride outfit????
BUSYBEE thats my prob too with toast..one whiff of it and I could eat a whole toasted loaf. Wdnt be so much of a problem if I could be happy with one or two slices. But thats what being addicted does….By the way,Im not dreaming of a white christmas..I’m dreaming of hot crumpets for xmas morning breakfast, well toasted and with lots of butter ( heaven!)
Todays good news….
*~ Measured myself this morning, and looks like ive lost three inches from my waist, one and a half inches from hips!
I still need to be about nine foot seven to get the height/ waist ratio right! 😀😀xx
*~ Some new flats recently built right by me…all the new owners slowly moving in…one flat has got the most lovely christmas deccies up on their balcony…a big twinkly reindeer and a twinkly little polar bear!….and a big sparkly tree in the window. Very cheering and I salute them,,not, only unpacked and in place, but ready for christmas too!
*~ Looking forward to a drive out tomorrow, but content to be toasty at home today.
Hope everyone feeling full of Christmas cheer, only two more weekends before Father Christmas Comes! 🎁🛍🎁🛍 -
Ps A few Christmas jokes! X
What did Santa do when he went speed dating? He pulled a cracker! Why was the turkey in the pop group? Because he was the only one with drumsticks!
What do you get if you cross Santa with a duck? A Christmas Quacker!

😂😂 very funny Yowzer!
Hi everyone hope Saturday has been good for you.
Thank you for all your positives they are great to read. All sounding good Sunny!Well, not much to note here but …….
🌶🧄🐓 Dinner tonight is a Thai takeaway ….. so bored with cooking now but…..
🌶🌶🌶 Found a new sauce this week ( well new to me) Korean Gochujang, a spicy sweetish chilli sauce. I found a recipe for a roast chicken smothered in gochujang, ginger, garlic and oil to blend. I marinated the chicken for several hours then slow open roasted it for 2+ hours. The recipe comes with potatoes but I used cauliflower florets which were lovely. Will definitely make it again.Busybee I know exactly where you are coming from. I’m similar to you in that food seems to dominate my life ….. see above!!! I must admit I can manage with one piece of toast every few months but I guess that’s because I’ve ‘trained’ myself not to eat certain carbs. Sometimes I think you just have to switch off not necessarily start a carb binge but just stop counting, weighing and stressing. You will be fine.
Well done Yowzer! Great result …. keep on keeping on ……. -
Well done on the inch loss Yowzer and thanks to you and Verona for cheering me up.
Tomorrow’s another day!

Made me think of SUNNYS daughter getting her dress!
*~ Resisted DDs home made mince pies. What was so good was,I just didnt want one. Maybe have one later in the week if theres any left, but it was nice not to want one and therefore not feel like I was missing out! X
*~ Oh ! Nearly forgot, won £50 on my local lottery bonus ball! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Have a grooooovy week dear friends!💖xx be warm,be safe,be happy! -
Sorry I haven’t posted on this thread for too long.I do enjoy reading it every day though🙂
Positives from me:
When my sister rang my Dad’s care home yesterday and asked about proper visits they said as long as they stay COVID free this week they have been told they can start visits next week so,hopefully,my Mum will get the chance to hold my Dad’s hand again after a long 8 months❤️
After a disastrous weekend food wise I have discarded one of the 2lb I had gained🎉
Only 2 more Christmas presents to get then I can start wrapping🎄
Taking my Mum to local garden centre today for a wander which she’s really looking forward to.
Hope everyone has a good day.Dawn x -
HiDAWN i hope you and Mum enjoyed the garden centre …and Im soooo pleased that she may be able to see yr Dad next week! What a cruel year its been, but thats a lovely positive for today and something for you to look forward to!❣️
No real positives for me to report except been to post office in torrents of rain and very happy and thankful to be home now, warm, dry, cosy jarmas and slippers, cuppa. Cant ask for more.
40 th anniversary of John Lennons death RIP🌹x
Finishing with a joke….
What do you call a kid who doesn’t believe in Santa?
A rebel without a Claus x!😀🎶 -
Aw Dawn, everything crossed your mum can see your dad, that would be a lovely thing after such a rough year.
Positives…… when did i last post and what has happened…..
– enjoyed a glass of wine on Saturday night which made for a nice evening with my dad, first alcohol after none throughout november. Taking it easy though as i know it doesnt help with the way of eating.
– Found a bit of running mojo this week after a couple of weeks not really wanting to go, I’m saying that as about to go run in the dark and typing it will make sure i do!
– Christmas planning done, and food shopping list written….will not deviate!
– Technically only 6 working days before I’m on holiday…… though that might not happen exactly but even if there are a few half days I’ll cope with that.ooooo jokes…..how naughty can they be?? I really only know naughty jokes……
Whats the difference between snowmen and snowwomen?
Snowballs! -
😂😂😂
Thanks to you all for all the jokes. It’s great to have a smile on my face!
Oh! Dawn I feel for you and the family. Fingers crossed for you and yours.
My days seem to be melding into one, as I’m sure they are for many other people, but isn’t it funny how doing ‘nothing’ can end up filling days….think that’s Parkinson’s Law!
So to my positives, as poor as they are …….🥕🧅🍣Trying fennel tonight for the first time ever! I’m going to roast it and hope it goes well with salmon.
☔️☔️🌼What a very wet day it’s been here today but we still have no frost! I bought some everlasting begonias from an online company last May but they didn’t arrive until mid August. I was very disappointed ….. but …. they are absolutely lush now! Into December and my troughs are overflowing with abundant white blooms ….. definitely a bonus.
So that’s me done for today.
Keep well.
Keep positive.
Welcome back Sunny! -
Thanks Yowser,WindyJulz and Verano,I’m keeping everything crossed re care home visits and will keep you informed🙂
Had lovely trip to garden centre thanks Yowser,my mum got a beautiful Christmas hanging basket,my Dad would definitely approve if he could see it!
I’m loving all of the jokes being posted. My husband has just told me one: Why were there less presents made in Santa’s workshop this year? ……because of elf isolation 😕
Take care all,Dawn X -
So good to see all the positives being posted. Thank you for the welcome back, V. Dawn, I to am hoping you get that visit with your Dad …. will be a lovely Christmas present. Yowser, I was so excited when daughter got engaged, I bought a dress for the wedding within a couple of weeks!!!
We’ve been home 2days now, so time to offer up some positives …..
🥶 after arriving home to a bitterly cold house on Sunday evening, it is now finally beginning to feel warm in here again.
🧳 unpacking all done and everything put away or consigned to the laundry.
🎁 after consulting with him, have ordered a silver ring for grand son’s 18th birthday.
🎄 good number of Christmas gifts ordered online, so feeling like I’m beginning to get a handle on the festive season.
👁 mum has an appointment for her cataract op on Thursday. Not a joke as such, but an amusing story …. sent out last minute on christmas eve to get crackers, father in law returned very pleased to have secured the last pack if Jacobs biscuits. Not what mum in law was wanting for dinner table place settings!
-
Welcome home SUNNY! I remember you saying back in early Nov you were staying longer, you had a direct flight home early Dec..and it sounded so far off then..but now youve been home two days and youre starting to warm up! Time really does fly these days doesnt it!
Loved yr story about father in law! 😀x
Ps great and auspicious day today!!the first vaccinations! 👍🏻👍🏻 Our start on the road back to normality! X
Woooooohoooooo! -
Great to feel all the positivity here and to hear how the Christmas plans are going.
It’s the calm before the storm here with most of the planning done, presents wrapped and cards posted. Extra online food shopping sorted though I don’t know where I’m going to put it all and there are only four of us for three days! Old habits die hard.
At least it’s not raining today and hopefully we’ll be able to get out for a walk.
X B -
Hi BUSY 🐝 and all.
*~ yes counting blessings,no rain today after yesterdays torrents!
*~ Feeling festive, got the Xmas cosy warm bedding out!
*~ couple of jokes to exercise the chuckle muscles…
What do you get when you cross a snowman and a vampire?
FrostbiteWhat did Adam say to his wife on Christmas?
It’s finally Christmas, Eve!Why don’t crabs celebrate Christmas?
Because they’re shell-fish. 🥰🥰🥰 xx have a wonderful Wednesday! 🥰🥰🥰 -
Thanks Sunny,it would definitely be the best Christmas present! Dawn X
-
Sorry if this brings the mood down but I have just listened to 2 people on the radio who disagree about their place in the queue for the Covid vaccine. One was a young woman (early 20’s) who has a terminal brain tumour and doesnt think she deserves it as she is going to die anyway and her dose should go to someone else. The other was a man who also has terminal cancer (aged mid 30’s) and wants the vaccine quickly so he can go outside with his young children to make as many memories as possible. They both deserve the vaccine straight away and I am happy to wait my turn. I feel so blessed for everything I have – my fairly good health, my family, warmth, comfort, food and love. What right have I to ever complain. Good thoughts go out to everyone, especially those who need comfort and care.
-
Good thoughts SG, thank you for sharing that … you’re right, we all have much to be grateful for and should be counting blessings, no matter how small.
Here goes with some positives from my little corner …
🏠 house is feeling properly warm now and the aga is ticking over nicely too … bliss.
🎁 more Christmas shopping done online.
👁 mum’s eye surgery went well.
🗓 made three personalised calendars as gifts today… have two more to do tomorrow. What was your positive today? Do tell!!!
-
Hi All You Positive Peeps!
Yes SUNSHINE GIRL hear hear!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Ive nothing to complain about,am so blessed with all the simple things in life that mean everything x that story is so heartbreaking. They soooo deserve the vaccine 💖💖
SUNNY! No place like our own warm home is there..home sweet home!..very pleased yr mums eye surgery went well and she will reap the benefits now x
My positives..
*~ My neighbour had been to a market and knocked with an artisan loaf…he had bought one and been given one for free,as the market was shutting, would I like it…. i thanked him and explained I was low carbing and he understood,as he wants to trim down too. i dont like to turn down a thoughtful act of kindness so Im glad he understood and also realised that I was touched by the gesture. I would LOVE an artisan loaf but more than that I want to feel lighter and healthier!
*~ Made me think of something either SUNSHINE GIRL or CALIFORNIAGIRL said a long time ago and its so true..
think of food as nourishment not treats. Get your treats from non food related things!
*~ MY fairy lights for the balcony came today! Yippppeeeee!
A thought for today….further to what we were all saying about being blessed…
“ Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson. X -
Hello.
Yes S-g we should all be thankful for the things we probably all take so much for granted …. family, health, comfort, food and love. Life never was fair.
So, I’m going to do my best to find positives……☀️ ☀️Good to see you back Sunny and settled in again.
🌈🌈 I found a ‘colouring book’ my daughter bought me a few years ago and the pencil crayons to go with it. I had forgotten all about it but had a little ‘colouring in ‘ session this afternoon and it’s so relaxing.
🐓🌶 Yet another recipe using my new found gochujang tonight. Not quite sure about this one but we will see.
🎁🛍 Almost all presents organised now so just need wrapping. Have all wrapping and packaging so just need to make a start.Thank you for all your positives they certainly help to lift any gloom.. Have a good weekend, keep smiling and keep well.
-
Wow, S-G …. congrats on that great result!
V, thanks for the welcome back, feeling quite settled again now. Colouring is amazingly relaxing and is quite a mindful thing to do too.Okay, well let’s see what positives I can find for today …
🎁 parcelled up two batches of presents and arranged for courier pick-up tomorrow, so that’s something else ticked off my to do list.
🥘 planning to do a date night dinner tomorrow evening.
🎄 started to get Christmas out of the loft today and will get the Christmas tree up and decorated in the morning.
👍🏻 tourism isolation is being shortened to 10days, so we’ll be at liberty again from Thursday next week … yippee!!
There’s always a positive if you look for it, so enjoy your weekend and be sure to look out for those little positives -
Great positives and I too am feeling more optimistic about the future but feel for those who are not as fortunate as I am.
My positives today are
The sun is shining and the sky is blue.
My painful knee which had been misbehaving this week feels much better today.
I’m about to finish wrapping the presents, Christmas menu’s sorted and online orders done.
Happy Saturday
X B -
Good day positive peeps!
*~ Glad to hear yr knees better today BUSYBEE and that you’re getting fresh air and sunshine at good old Seacombe!
Wish I was there too..I used to enjoy a walk from New Brighton to Seacombe, then the ferry home….,haven’t done that for a long time.
*~ Good to know SUNNY’S date nights are back on the agenda! 💖
*~ Small but simple pleasures more important than ever these days..have just enjoyed browsing, choosing and ordering Christmassy teatowels and oven mitts for self and DD/ SIL/ Beau 🥰
“ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant” ( Robert Louis Stevenson) -
I have not been following the bsd 800 for some time, and it’s my second anniversary coming up in January.
I am healthy, and despite being cooped up at home I am still wearing the same clothes, no they aren’t bulging either;)My family is still well and although I won’t see my mum until she gets the vaccine, there are plans to meet up in the New Year.
I love reading about your horse riding WindyJulz. I walk most days, the same walk and feel better for fresh air.
-
Hi Patricia 1066, yes I remember you. So having you back is a positive in itself.
Second positive, I have held firm over the weekend and I am still under the 12stone mark.
Thirdly, we are all well, me, hubby and family. -
Hi folks!
*~ Happy upcoming anniversary PATRICIA! X and congrats on those outfits not getting tight! Thats a massive plus….and I hope its not long before you see yr Mum again x
*~ SUNSHINE!well done,staying under the 12 stone mark 👍🏻
*~ Just a thought for today, and all the covid days we’ve survived this year – the words of a song by Brantley Gilbert…
“If you never had hard days,
If you never had a heart break,
Never had more than you can take.
Or carried the weight
Of life on your shoulders,
Would you feel like you earned it?
Would you live with a purpose?
Or ever know your own strength,
If you never had hard days?”
A great reminder that the struggles we face have value because they give us a deeper appreciation of the good times.
And, we need to always remember to celebrate when things, however small, are going well in our lives—as we do here daily! -and not to complain when we’re going through tough times!!! XX💖 -
Oh so true Yowzer!
My positives for today are:
Our hedges are having their winter haircut and I have mine booked for tomorrow- both badly needed!
During FaceTime with our son and family in US yesterday he mentioned them coming over to see us al long last.
They hope to have had the vaccine by the summer and hopefully we will be done and dusted early next year. Something exciting to look forward to!
Slow cooker on the go with a chicken casserole- smells delicious!

Happy Monday Festive Folk! 🎈🎈🎈🎈
*~ I decided to get weighed today after putting my scales away weeks and weeks ago,and I’m one stone one lb down since joining the Countdown to Christmas thread in September. Am quite happy with this as I havent been that ‘ good’ for some of that time…hopefully can drop another lb or two by Christmas, but even if I only manage to maintain til New Year, will be happy.
*~ Just said Happy Christmas to somebody ( a workman) for the first time!🌲🌲
*~ Cdnt remember my Memorable Word to get onto app to order prescription, been mulling it over all weekend, normally use mums maiden name, but not in this case,as needed a longer word….but brilliant DD came up with an idea and voila! She was right ! X result! X
*~ Feeling in the mood for festive songs..anybody remember this one..
🎶🎶🎶When the red red robin comes bob bob bobbin along!🎶🎶🎶
Drinking tea from my christmas mug decorated with robins delivering christmas parcels brought that song into my mind!🥰 -
Hello folks …. wonderful to see everyone’s positives. That’s one very impressive scales result, Yowser!!
BB, really hope you will get your family get together in 2021.
Thought I’d post some positives early today ….
🎄 Christmas tree up and a few small decs scattered, so feeling a little bit more christmassy now.
☁️ it’s actually stopped raining here!
💻 looking forward to a Skype session with a friend this afternoon.
🌯 have now put away all the spices I brought home from Turkey. Will be making some spiced dal for dinner this evening. We’re getting close to pg 90 of positives people, so please keep posting!
-
Hi sunshine-girl Yowzer and SunnyB. It’s good to hear from you, and know that we are koko. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
The positive for today is chatting online with cousins, nephews and friends; plans are changing due to higher risk. We can stay in touch despite being unable to eat together indoors as per regs announced yesterday . We in London have been in and out of highest restriction so often it’s been hard to make plans.
No getting together for a Christmas meal, instead we will have a warming glass of mulled wine and a walk and chat.
What has bsd taught me? I love natural yoghurt and frozen berries for breakfast or dessert, I have one piece of bread rather than three; I still restrict the rice and noodles which is non food as far as I am concerned.
My ankles are still slim, my favourite health gain of all. My waist is larger by 6cm from the best measurement however, and this does concern me. Ok I know what to do!
-
Patricia, good to see your positives …. the mulled wine walk sound like a lovely idea sure there will be people stealing that one.
My positives for today are ….
👁 saw my daughter today – at a distance – when she dropped round a few groceries for us. So good to catch up in person, face to face, even if we did have to ‘make space’.
🎁 gift buying almost complete now, just need to get some stocking fillers.
💻 really good Skype session with one friend yesterday, followed up by a long phone chat with another. Made yesterday quite a social day …. have also been messaging with grandson, who is in fine spirits.
🧴 found the intensive hair conditioner I wanted, online at a bargain price … yippee!Hope you too will be able to post some positives for us to share.
-
Well done on that amazing weight loss Yowzer!
I have been thinking of putting the scales away after Christmas as a no change or a gain always details me, and your success without weighing makes me think it’s worth a try!
Lots of great positives each day and it seems we are all making little changes to our plans to fit in with the restrictions in our lives.
X B -
Howdy SUNNY and everybody!
PATRICIA!I too am a big fan of yog and berries for blunch! Or as a dessert.Add a handful of crushed nuts and its as good as an icecream sundae! delicious!
BUSYBEE i do think ditching the scales for a while,or even just weighing every few weeks, is a good thing, for me anyway. Those scales can really be disheartening and make us forget that even if weight drops are small or non existent, other good things can be happening, making us less likely to have strokes and heart attacks,or get diabetes.
Some positive thoughts for the day…
*~ Off to an early start today, have done two loads of washing and a stint on my rebounder. I can only bounce gently, but even thats supposed to help my poorly functioning lymphatic system get going…plus has other health benefits too
*~ Got a grocery delivery coming this afternoon..many thanks to the pickers and drivers who’ve made this possible for nine months now!
*~ Ordered lots of wild bird food and will be going to the park tomorrow to feed the birds – and the ducks, swans and Canada geese on the lake.
Keep smiling everyone,it makes people wonder what youve been up to! XXXX -
Trying to get back in the habit of posting positives daily again and seeing post from others helps to prompt me …. thank you 😀. Personally, I need the frequent weighing to keep me focused, but I know it isn’t for everyone. We all need to find the best approach that suits us, so huge well done Yowser!
🛍 out of isolation today, so trip to buy stocking fillers… very successful too 🙂
🎂 as we can’t have a big celebration for grandson’s 18th birthday on Tuesday, daughter is getting friends and family to send her video messages. She’ll stitch them together and use them as part of their little family celebration.
🌸 a bit of indoor gardening done. Repotted a few orchids and tended to those ailing after being in a very cold house. Think it’s likely I’ll lose one or two, but hoping to hang on to the majority of poorly ones.
🐦 bought some new bird feed this morning, so hoping to see some small birds enjoying the offerings in the coming days. Please remember to share your positives with us all, we so enjoy reading them, especially if we’re not feeling too positive ourselves.
-
Hi SUNNYB thanks for buying bird feed! 💖 I worry so much about birds and wild critters, specially in winter ….and I love
yr DDs idea for 18 th bday!
*~ In the park today feeding the ducks,Canada geese, swans, gulls, pigeons. They all seemed so hungry and I was glad to see plenty of people feeding them, tho not so happy to see some people throwing bread, even tho theres a sign up explaining not to feed them bread, and why its bad for them.
*~ We got thrown out of a supermarket today! No we werent doing anything naughty or illegal, there was a “ safety concern”…everyone had to abandon their trolleys and wait outside. We sat in the car for fifteen mins, then we were allowed back in. I had only gone in for thyme for DD,but Beau wanted a few things so we waited. We were all given a box of mince pies as an apology but they wdnt tell us any details. The police came and seemed to be inspecting the building..it felt very eerie, and I am longing to know what the ‘ concern’ was!
*~ Saw three people dressed as elves today..a delivery guy,a bus driver, and a guy walking into a shop. They all looked so festive and fun!
Goodnight folks, bedtime for Yowzer now..soooo sleeepy! xxxx -
I’m struggling to find any new positives some days as ‘things’ seem to be the same everyday!
Chugging along not being particularly good but I am planning my new year weight loss plan – as I have done every year for the past 50years!!!!!!!
Treated myself to have my nails done this morning – I felt very safe and enjoyed doing something different and on my own too!
(Although I love him dearly, Hubby is always by my side and comes everywhere with me!!)
Have a good weekend one and all.
X B -
Hi folks,BUSYBEE I always think if your nails look good, you feel good too! And yr hubby sounds like a sweetie. I was gonna say he’s a keeper but you know that already x
~* Well my first positive is,nice surprise,I came here and found myself still logged in since yesterday..usually get logged out after a very short time.(.is it just me? Was it something i said! 😀)
*~ Yipppeee this day next week will be Christmas Day ( tho Christmas Eve is my all time favourite day)
*~ Got no aches and pains today,I feel like a teenager!
🌟🌼🌟🌼🌟🌼🌟Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen 🌟🌼🌟🌼🌟🌼🌟🌼🌟
I always thought this when I WAS a teen….I was lucky enough to be a teen in the 60s…heady days, especially if you were young in Liverpool at the time of Beatlemania and Merseybeat. Every day I stepped out of my front door and felt magic in the air! X 💥☄️⚡️✨💥☄️⚡️✨💥☄️⚡️✨💥☄️⚡️✨💥☄️⚡️✨💥☄️⚡️✨💥☄️⚡️✨💥☄️⚡️✨💥 -
I agree, Busy, some days it can be difficult to identify positives, especially when the days blend together with nothing much to distinguish one from another. Think it’s still a good exercise to try though, so here goes ….
🎁 good batch of gift wrapping done today.
📦 two more parcels left on the doorstep in the rain by a lazy delivery man …. luckily nothing inside spoiled.
🙂 friend in Turkey who had covid, is now fully recovered and back at work.
Whatever your weekend holds, I hope it will include some positives for you to share here. Have a good weekend everyone. -
Hola! X
*~ Well,up til three pm I thought its Sunday..til i spoke to Beau and he told me its Saturday! Feel like Ive gained a day!
*~ From Monday, the days will slowly lengthen out again!WOOOOOOHOOOOOO! 🎉👏🏽🎉👏🏽🎉👏🏽🎉
*~ Received some lovely Christmassy teatowels in the post today 💖 and thinking it was Sunday, said to myself, poor Postie having to work on a Sunday because its Christmas ….🙄🙄
Hope everyone is feeling cheery and in the Christmas spirit XXX
❄️❄️❄️ Its the Season to Sparkle! ❄️❄️❄️ -
Yowser, thank you for the reminder we are so close the lengthening days once again …. woohoo!!! I am one who – like so many others – struggles in the short gloomy days, so will much appreciate the return of longer days.
Positives for today from my corner of the world are …🌞 days are going to be getting longer soon.
🌤 actually saw done sun today and was able to do a proper assessment of the work piling up in the garden.
🍽🥂 date night was deferred last night to this evening, going to be making the cocktails soon 😉
🎥 OH put together a compilation of photos from grandson’s first day in the world to now, set to a sounds track of the song which was No1 on the day he was born, by way of celebrating his 18th on Tuesday.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend positives people. -
Yowzer, did you see Paul McCartney on BBC after Strictly last night? They showed old pictures of the Beetles playing in The Cavern in the 60’s – I can remember nipping over the water at lunchtime during my pre nursing course to ‘Stomp’ at the Cavern, wearing a jumper belonging to my Dad, called a Sloppy Joe?!!
Lovely memories, which are nice to recall at these strange times.
X B -
BUSYBEE yes,i saw Maccas interview ! And yes happy memories of doing the Cavern Stomp, lunchtimes, evenings, all nighters!
Think VERANO went too.
Good times! Lovely to recall, like you said. My teen years were so happy. Specially when all the dishy foreign guys started visiting in the wake of Beatlemania. Had dates with French,German and Icelandic boys.
My Mum used to knit me Sloppy Joes! -
Sound like heady times Busy and Yowser!
Have some positives to post, so here goes ….
🍂 actually got out to do some gardening today. Was so good to be out there pruning, tidying, taking rose cuttings etc. Has quite lifted my spirits, being able to spend time in my garden.
📺 watched White Christmas this afternoon, all senti-mostly-mental, but heart warming stuff nonetheless.
📱 heard from a friend I have spoken to in some time was lovely to catch up on news.Hope your weekend has brought you some positives… please take a moment to share one or two with us all.
-
SUNNYB ,my DD did the same yesterday, out in her garden, and today they sat out by their chimera and ate mince pies and drank mulled wine 💖
Just one positive from me today!
*~ Tomorrow when we wake its the Solstice, the shortest day ,and the year will turn.!
The nights will lengthen once more, and Im praying that all will be well,or at least start getting better. And that we’ll get through this and come out the other side! X -
Ps I have another positive..
*~ Put fairy lights up on my balcony today …theyre so twinkly and bright, theyre staying there til spring! X
