    Hi,
    Boxing day.

    Well , i have drawn a line under xmas.
    I am now ready preping for the new year,

    Today getting eating back on track,
    Exercising to be done
    And generally move around.

    Tons of rain here today, so wont be able to play in the garden.
    Back to work tomorrow.

    Just getting my head into gear.

    No bread, spuds, rice, pasta etc.
    So starting to build up now for the bs diet.

    Hi Lucia,

    I’ve been enjoying this series of posts from the sidelines, but I guess it’s time to ‘fess up and come back in.

    I’ve rather fallen off the wagon over the last few months and put on a stone or so. I find it very hard to keep to it when I’m down to target, which is, I guess, what yo-yo dieting is all about. “Bad” carbs are so alluring once you allow them back into your life.

    However, the BSD is a wonderful tool for weight control given the right mindset, and now the New Year is approaching I will buckle down to it and be good again. (Once I’ve polished off the Christmas cake – any left on 1st Jan goes in the bin.)

    This last year has taught me that I can’t afford to drop in and out of the programme, it will have to become a way of life more or less permanently – I take my hat off to those of you who have achieved this already.

    On the plus side, I am still some 30lbs down from my starting point 2 years ago. I will log in to the weigh-in thread on Jan 2nd and re-join the community.

    One thing, Lucia, I have reached a sensible maximum level of exercise for my age/body:- about 1 hour a day doing a mixture of calisthenics, walking and cycling. I have tried increasing, but the result is strains, sprains and/or a pericarditis reaction. I’m not up to maximum at the moment as I’m recovering from a long bad cold etc. but I’m building back slowly.

    So, if you have any “challenges” they’d better focus around will power and dietary regime.

    Is this my old pal stingbreaker from a year or so ago?

    Well hello,
    Where have you been, how are things mate?

    Did you ever do the star jumps in two parts?

    How about a challenge? Open for everyone.
    The year soon will be 2018.

    So here it is,
    do 2 different things a day. Two different veggies, or two different exercises, read two blogs, massage your toes for two mins , anything with a 2.

    Do 0 zero regrets -life is soo short.

    Do 1 funny thing a day, laugh, sing off key, yodel, etc or a gratitude journal with one thing you are grateful for each day. Or one good deed. Nothing connected to food or exercise, this one is for your soul or mood.

    8 minutes of exercise or give yourself 8 mins of me time each day.
    Making 2 0 1 8.

    I have been ticking over here, sometimes i have been human and put weight on.
    Then i have built it up again and got it together.
    No worries, i am good 90% of the time.

    I feel i need another year here in my safe zone with friends.

    I have found Michael moseleys horizon documentary. I am going to watch it tomorrow and get motivated up , ready for 1st jan.

    Also the one called fixing dad. I cried over this. He has two sons with beautiful souls that got together and fixed their dad. I am going to watch it again.
    They will do me more good than chitty chitty bang bang or the vikings. (don’t worry these two movies will be replayed at easter).

    So i have been up to the following:
    I have reduced my calories,
    I am fasting
    Carbs are no longer welcome here.
    I have my tai chi video.
    And doing yoga
    I am going to build up my flexibility.

    I am avoiding the gym for the next three weeks whilst the newbies take over and i cant get on the machinery, equipment or get in the showers.

    I am now in the zone. In the mood. In the right frame of mind.
    (But i have built this up since before christmas)

    Anyone feeling the bs yet?
    ….. it is on its way……

    Hi,

    To everyone

    Wishing you all a Happy New and Healthy 2018.

    To those who are starting in the morning, my best wishes.

    To those who haven’t or cannot decide to start in the morning, please can i suggest that you read my early blogs. I break the Blood Sugar Diet steps down into smaller ones.

    If you cannot change everything just reduce the carbs.
    E.g. leave the cereal and do berries and yoghurt.
    Leave the mashed spuds and have cauli or. Carrot and turnip mash.
    Leave the bread, one meal at a time.
    Leave the pasta

    Try it one meal at a time.

    One day at a time.

    Go for a walk around your room, then your property, then your road, then your block, then just walk until you have had enough.
    Use benches, or bus stop seats to rest then come on back.

    Try and do something different, that makes you happy. Volunteer, or clear a cupboard out and donate to charity.
    Learn a new language, or craft.
    Join a group, go to church. Join a walking club, join a cycling club, join a dance group.
    Meet people, share, enjoy.

    Oh and be lazy…. it takes less muscles to smile than to frown.
    Smile, smile smile.
    And you watch , at others smiling back at you,

    LIVE each day and be who you are meant to be. And not live as a shadow of yourself.

    Do this for me. Do it for yourself. Do it for the Minions. Do it for Ironman. Do it for Mr D’arcy.

    Just do it. Dont forget to let me know here in the blog.

    Did day one of tai cheng.

    Day one of yoga from youtube

    Didnt eat until 2pm.

    Meditated.

    Chatted

    WAtched a bit of tv. (I dont watch tv much as they got me fat sitting on the settee)

    Had a lie in.

    Got my work stuff together as i am out just after 6am tomorrow.

    Not bad for day one.

    Yes, this is indeed the old “Stringbreaker”

    No time for a detailed post now, but thanks for the challenges – I’l see what I can do.

    Glad to hear you’re still “ticking over” but I guess its time we all get into gear and put the pedal to the metal now – I know we should’ne need New Year to get us going but personally, I find the whole idea of a new start invigorating.

    I love reading other poeples blogs for ideas or motivation.
    I read them and say… i can do that?
    Or … me too!

    Not feeling hungry at the moment, which is great.
    I am going to listen to my body, rather than,
    oh its 7pm evening meal time.
    Oh i have just woken up so i must eat breakfast.

    I have my lunch in my bag.

    Oh, i am in work at the moment.

    I invite everyone else to sign in and join into a wonderful 2018.

    One thought. Just look at 2018.
    The actual numbers.
    This is fate.

    Too many chocolates left uneaten
    Dark outside
    The weather

    Well……
    Its chinese new year this week, want to join me with one new years resolution?

    Put you first… by starting a new way of life.

    If you have read my blogs, you know i have to break the simplest steps down into teeny tiny steps, then i can do it.

    Yes i have struggled,
    Yes i have fell off the wagon, but i got back on?
