I’ve noticed a lot of recipes use almond or soya milk. I’d rather use cow’s milk – is this OK and will it make much difference to the calorie count?

Welcome to the BSD family and the forum. There’s lots of advise, tips and support here, so be sure to check out the various threads. I would suggest you check the calorie count for the whole recipe, if you are going to substitute cow’s milk for the suggested alternatives, as cow’s milk might well be higher.
