Hello, Day 1 today and I have been on the website to start recording some personal data (as mentioned in the book, page 158 of my ibook) but cant figure out where to enter it. I believe I can also find somewhere on the website that will calculate BMI, but not sure where to find that either. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Cheers, and wishing you all health and happiness.

    Hi colleenp
Although it says that in the book there isn’t anywhere – looked for it myself when I first started. Maybe it was the original plan but it turned out too difficult to do?. I record all my personal data in a notebook e.g. my weight, bmi, daily steps, body measurements as well as my blood sugars. You’re right to do it, it’s a great motivator to see all those things improve as you go! I also make a note of my goals and mini-targets and the odd tip or something I’ve found motivating. (It’s great to look back on).
I also use https://www.fatsecret.co.uk/ to record my daily calories, carbs etc and plan my meals. Another popular site for doing this is https://www.myfitnesspal.com/

There isn’t anywhere to measure your BMI on here so you’ll need to find one online. Don’t know which country you are in (or if that matters) but I came across this one early on so I’ve stuck to using it

Wishing you best wishes on your journey to health and happiness. Don’t forget to join in any of the threads – everyone is friendly and supportive. Hope to see you out and about on the forum.

Thanks very much Jennie. Your reply was really helpful and I will certainly look at the websites you mentioned. Recording my personal data is necessary to up the accountability factor, for sure! Cheers, Colleen

hi colleenp – I use Sparkpeople.com. If you put in your height, age, current weight etc, it will work out your bmi. Then there are pages to record what you eat, another to put in exercise, another for all your measurements and weight and so on. If you are using it to record what you eat you will find it is mainly American although over the years many Brits and others have added their own food choices to the long list. You can make your own list of favourites and that makes it easier to log your food but it takes a little while to get this completed.
