    Hello there!

You guys are such an inspiration to me – thank you everyone! I’m just staggered by all your weight losses – its just amazing isn’t it.

I myself have bean doing this now for 5 weeks – and have lost 9 pounds! This is just incredible for me who is always such a slow loser! As I’ve bean going on through these weeks I’ve gradually learned to lower my carbs even more. I think my weight loss should pick up even more now because I just have no desire to eat carby foods. I had a day off yesterday, went out for lunch (had pie and chips – I know, don’t remind me!) and chocolate throughout the day – and didn’t enjoy it AT ALL! So from now on ‘Bean’s Day Off’ no longer exists. This girl is set on full steam ahead! Woohoo!

    Bean xx

    Great results everyone😃

Another pound gone to join its friends – total lost now 81 pounds (5 stone 11 pounds) in 33 weeks.

I still drink coffee (no milk), otherwise it’s water – preferably sparkling, but I do keep a jug of water with sliced lemons and limes in the fridge.

I have just under 8 stone left to get to goal.

Hi Happy, not so much down but getting into clothes comfortably that didn’t fit last year, so maybe down from 16 tight to 14 loose. I never allowed myself to buy an 18. I have a wardrobe full of clothes I can’t fit into with one dress in particular that I have never worn. I ordered it hoping I would lose weight about 3 years ago and by the time my daughter brought it to me here in France it was well past time for a refund and well past fitting me. So there it is in the wardrobe. On Tuesday (after I get weighed) I am going to try on a pair of white jeans I took on holiday 2 years ago, they fit me before we went but not when we got back. Here’s hoping. Now I have thought about it that dress can be my target, it is a 14 but a very sleek and fitted style.

Glad you liked my blog 🙂

I decided not to include all the negative comments and keep the post as cheerful as possible. I can tell you I had an absolute barrage of tweets and had to tell people to read up on the subject before commenting. One guy deleted all his tweets so I couldn’t use any of them. The sad part is the heaviest criticism came from a person who had type 2 but wouldn’t and wasn’t prepared to listen to reason.

Thats quite sad GAVIN..i suppose some people genuinely feel BSD is a bit far out – i must admit i did before i tried it..but why rain on yr parade? I guess some friends are just concerned for your welfare..with others youre sort of holding up a mirror to them, making them aware of their own bad eating habits ( goodness knows i had and have plenty of them so i’ m not being all smug ..) But some folk dont like to see anyone doing something to better themselves. The diabetes guy, what a shame when there is a way he could possibly reverse or at least improve his condition but he doesnt want to know.whats that saying,” when the pupil is ready, the teacher will appear”
Right i am off to see the doggy pics! x

I have a distant relative whom I only see about every ten years or so (weddings and funerals) – she is tiny height wise, but very heavy, and seems larger every time I see her.
At a funeral a few years ago, I’d lost quite a lot of weight (several people didn’t recognise me, but as you’ll have gathered, we’re not a close family!), said shrt relative had apparently told loads of people I looked as if I’d put on a lot of weight!
    Bizarre

Morning! Weigh in today – another 2lbs down so 2 st 10lbs so far. Still have a three stone to lose before my Bmi is in the “healthy”!range and (other than the occasional surprise week) weight loss has slowed down – so to set myself small targets, hoping to lose another 7lbs by my birthday in September. I will then be lighter than I was before I had children! Yay! Have a good week all. X

Well done LOREN – 2 stone 10 pounds!! Wow! This time next week it’ll be 3 stone I’m sure!! It sounds as though its going really well for you – well done!!

I’m lighter than I’ve bean in years – and for the first time I feel as though my target (which used to be soooooo far off) was unattainable – NOT ANY MORE!!

This is a great way of eating – well done everyone, you’ve done so well xx

    Hey you lovely people

Week 10 weigh in and another 1 pound gone so that’s 31 in total so far. I would have loved to keep making it 2 a week as I have a long way to go but then I looked at my carbs and cals and they had just crept up you know how it is nearer 900 than 800 nearer 50 than 40 carbs. So this is going to be a stricter week.

On the good side is the exercise as you may remember due to health and sight issues I can be a bit wobbly! But I’m building up on the treadmill to 2 and 1/4 miles a day which is truly amazing for me. I even get itchy if I have a busy day and can’t fit it in. Saw youngest son on Saturday who was lovely ‘that’s awesome mum’ and a big hug!

Have been measuring blood pressure which has gone up over the past year (steroids are a bugger! ) and its back to normal again so hurray

Well done to all those reporting good results from the scales etc. By comparison, my result is paltry at just half a pound lost this week, however, I confess that due to having various people visiting, I have not been as careful with my consumption as I should have been, so I am grateful for any loss at all.

Back to it properly this week, logging everything and checking cals for everything, as things were way too sketchy last week! My current target is to drop 4lb by 14th September, when we go to Edinburgh for a friend’s wedding and then head off to Turkey again on 22nd Sept. Keep everything crossed for me please!!!

Well I’ll add my weigh in figures – 1st week completed and I lost 7lb! I’m so chuffed but don’t expect to see that lose every week. I do have a lot to lose but I’m going to set myself small targets to get there.

Well done to everyone else who’s lost – no matter how small it still counts.

By the way Loren, my son who I blame for my weight gain is 21! 😀

Well done everyone. I have been off line a bit just catching up on your amazing results, ups and downs. 9 weeks in and loss this week was only a pound but in total have lost 40lbs. It may seem a lot but I need to halve my body weight so I still have a very long road ahead. I am starting to see a difference in my clothes – wearing stuff that I could no longer squeeze into with ease now. The weight loss is going to be slow but I am also exercising which should help – I’m disabled and had to find cardio I can do sitting down as I cant get on or off my stationary bike without help. I found some great workouts on sparkpeople.tv that help me work around my mobility issues.

I’m disappointed with this week’s loss but will continue to soldier on and you are all wonderful motivators, well done and thank you!

BMI Normal!!!!!! First time since 2004.
Weighed in this morning and I am now 74.5kg (173cm) so BMI is now under 25 🙂 🙂 🙂
That is another of my goals knocked off – and has been the hardest to do. I was on 76kg a week past Friday and did a 7 mile walk on the Sunday, pilates Monday and Tuesday nights and on Tuesday a gym sessions of weights and more walking (hills). Wednesday to this Sunday I was pushing geophysics equipment around our archaeology site – 10-13.00, an hours break 14.00 – 17.00 and on my feet all day. Sometime standing just moving strings, other times pushing machines, but no sitting down. I was despairing of getting under the BMI 25 as I was losing .1kg a day and some todays it went up as much as .5kg. Logically I know it was heat related (holding on to fluids) and ahem…. bowels going on strike. As of Friday, I was at 75.1kg and stuck there again. This morning – wooosh – it went and I am soooooo pleased.
FBS is now 4.4. Waist 82.5cm. In February I started at FBS 5.9 and it did go up to 6.6 one day. Waist was 104cm and weight 97.8kg. Dress size is now 14. I was 18-20 depending on brand. Of yes and more new things bought in May off to the Charity Shops, although this time, I may try to take some of them in as I have a new sewing machine to try out – I used to do all my own dressmaking, but have not done any for years – it will be interesting!
Now to get to BMI 23.3 and 70kg and hopefully a dress size 12!
Good going everyone – keep it up!!!

Fabulous news. Great to achieve your healthy BMI.
Good luck with altering your clothes. I’ve altered a few favourite dresses and tops. Next challenge is a denim skirt!
The problem I have found is that after fitting ok for about a month things again seem too large.
Been overweight so long I don’t have a stash of too tight clothes hidden away….just a load of extra baggy stuff!!

Good luck to everyone ditching the baggy wardrobe 🙂
