After a smaller loss in week 2 than week 1, I gained a small amount of weight this week, despite following the guidelines even more closely than before, drinking more water and getting more exercise. Bought some keto test strips and not surprised to see high levels of ketones, given that my carbs are <20gms/day and I’m eating the recomended amounts of fat and protein…I keep reading that if you are in ketosis you cannot fail to lose weight…well….
Still pleased to have lost just under 3 kg in 3 weeks but I hope that this is not where the success ends (as it has on every other eating plan I have followed in the past twenty years). It seems like my body takes a few weeks to work out what I’m doing and then sets up some kind of counter-strategy that puts a halt to things. Still feeling very motivated to continue and see what happens this week.
