Hi everyone, looking forward to seeing you all at some time on this new thread. Marvellous May had already been used so I changed it to Monumental and that feels good as we are going to have some monumental movement. In May it is getting warmer and we can get out of our winter clothes. But do we want to show off our bodies – well this year we do because we are proud of who we are no matter what lumps or bumps are there – and they are going to disappear soon enough.

Come and join us and be motivated by all the great people on this site. See you here.

Hi all, although no one has come on yet.

I need to take a new approach to my diet. I seem to be ignoring the small things like the afternoon snack, it might only be a slice of cooked chicken but then I might go back for another. This morning I cut out the Ryvita with butter that I normally have with my 2 boiled eggs and that has just saved 100 calories, plus a carb and fat. Husband is cooking fish tonight and I am having mine with a salad instead of with mushy peas (I know they are okay) and he always gives me a couple of chips, which I wont be having.

New motivation – lets see how it goes.

Im starting to feel a bit lonely here right now. I hope you are all just enjoying your weekend.

Diet is going well although one of the disadvantages of weighing daily is seeing the ups as well as the down. I find both quite motivating depending on my mood. I am human and sometimes when nothing moves or goes up I can get a bit peeved and sabotage things. However, we have to remember weight loss is not linear and changes in our bodies can give different daily results. The trick is to stick with it and have faith in yourself if you know you are doing all the right things.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, it will be my official weigh in.

    Hello!
Just managed to get online after a couple of days with almost no internet. Sorry you’re feeling lonely s-g. Afraid I can’t help out until we are back on land in 10 days. In the meantime hope everyone is doing well. I’m not telling!!!

Thanks for dropping in Verano, hope you are having a great holiday. I think everyone has abandonded ship here.

My weigh in yesterday showed half a kilo, so a total of 3.5 lbs. Out last night so didnt dare weigh again today, will leave it a few days.

Good news is my BG was right down to 70 this morning, hope that is going to be my normal and not just a glitch. I am using 32 units of insulin which is quite high but will give it a couple of days to see if BG settles before I start to reduce.

Hello, sorry I’m late but I’ve made it at last.
Well done Sunshine Girl on your loss and reduced BG, sorry we all abandoned you, I’m here now so you are no longer alone, and Verano will be back after enjoying her hols.
Had my nephews birthday party on Saturday, crisps which are my weakness and the thing I miss the most, then a chicken kebab (no pitta), so grilled chicken veggies and salad, it was delicious and hopefully not too bad, but I couldn’t escape the crisps 😢, then my partner caved on his healthy eating plan and so a Chinese takeaway was ordered, again I tried to be good, chicken, veggies etc, then on the Monday a family bbq, so lots of salad and meats, avoided the potatoes and bread rolls and the burger, and declined the cheesecake, so all in all a bad weekend, but Tuesday I was back on plan and today I have continued, I exercised over the weekend and am enjoying my running, going to join the gym so I can swim and strength train ready for my triathlon next month – yes I do always leave it till the last minute but I do them for fun not for a decent time, I just like to finish 😀.
Anyway a cuppa is calling me and food prep for tomorrow to be done before bed, weigh in on Friday (I know I’ve put on over the weekend, but will see what happens)

Hi Newbie, glad someone is joining me. Sounds as though you have been doing well to resist temptations.

Yesterday I made some cottage cheese bread – just cottage cheese, eggs and oats. It turned out very well but a bit more like brioche and hubby doesnt like it. I also made some courgette rings with parmasen cheese and managed to eat the lot. How bad can cottage cheese or courgettes be but I did have a small gain. Today I have been worse as I get fed up of thinking about what to make so I did homemade burgers (just mince, onions and flavourings) and had one brioche bun with some beans. Feel sure that will not do me any good.

I am seriously thinking of starting the paid Fast800. They are doing a 7 day trial then a 25% off for 12 weeks. I will have a look, I can always dip out if it doesnt suit me over the 7 days.

Hoping some more stragglers are going to join us soon.

I have just signed up for the paid Fast800 7 day free trial then the 12 week course. Straight away for 3 days in a row they are giving me fish with nowhere for me to say I am allergic. It looks like I will have to set my own menus so it really is a waste of time and money as I can do that already. If anyone has done this (was it you Newbie) where to I cancel.

Still not keeping to my current diet due to stresses. We have just cancelled one of the estate agents and today signed up with someone new. One problem is that she is French with no English – we managed, but it might be good as she will be dealing with French clients more than our other agent does.

Weekend coming up, hope you are all doing well.
