I did the fast 800 3 years ago ish, and got on really well. Lost a load of weight and my health improved. But… I relaxed and I’m now in a worse state than before due to some big lifestyle changes for the worst.
End result is today I had to start taking blood pressure medication as 190/130 is too high, and I feel awful.
I know that if my weight comes down so will my BP, and the world will be a better place.
So. I’m here, I’m getting bloods done by the GP next week and 8 weeks or more of fast 800 here I come.

Hi theblackspot! You are in the right place for lots of encouragement and advice. Jump on to the monthly and weekly posts (currenly Journey through January and One week at a time 28th Jan).
As others may have mentioned, take a look at Diet Doctor website for food guides and recipe ideas, and I really like Nurse Cindy who you will find on youtube.
You can do this ! ☘☘
Hi there. Just another word of encouragement from me. I specifically started the BSD as my GP was threatening meds for my BP.
I got down to acceptable levels within in a week (although I was lower than you).
So you’re in the right place and doing the right thing.
Welcome theblackspot and best of luck on your journey. I’m a returner too, I did this 3 years ago and then again 2 years ago! This is my third attempt! It’s the ‘relaxing’ that gets me… But you already know that this will make a difference to your health so it is worth sticking to it. I’m trying to tackle my diabetes rather than my blood pressure and losing weight will make a massive difference. I look forward to your updates and hearing how you get on.
So today is my first day after I started on the BP pills, and the difference is remarkable!
BP down from 180/120 yesterday to 130/101.
I also got on the scales and after 3 days of TWOE I’ve lose 3.5 lbs.
I feel better, my eyes don’t hurt, and I don’t feel like there’s not enough room to move in my body any more.
