Oh Eps, that weight gain could be for a multitude of reasons, ranging from being a woman to needing a good poo (sorry, but it’s the truth… as Peter Kay said when discussing slimming clubs ‘A pound? I sh*t a pound!) You can’t go through the rest of your life denying yourself treats or you could crack and REALLY undo all your good work, and at least you know they’re good teats too. I doubt very, very much that it’s anything to do with your crumble. Are you eating enough? Despite hitting the 800 cals regularly? Has your body hit a plateau? Maybe it needs a bit of a kickstart again? I know it’s hard not to be despondant though, but try not to, and I certainly wouldn’t start denying myself. I would definitely finish the crumble. And you must enjoy it, you’ve fancied it for so long. Chin up chookie, it’s a long journey ahead of us, it’s a forever journey for some of us, so these ups and downs will level out 🙂 x

‘and at least you know they’re good teats too’. I cannot explain damn you autocorrect better than that. And the thing is, there is no autocorrect, as I am manually typing this. There is no excuse. Let the filth commence… even if it is accidental.

Tokyo? You missed the ice cream? Go back a page to 29 and read last night’s exchanges! The links and everything are there, and to get a pound off!

True, thanks Lucky😘 Think mix of plateau and eating bit over 800 and too many carbs yesterday mixed with being full of 💩 (Hopefully😂😂😂) Will sort it out!💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

It’s the trend that matters anyway, so long as it’s not another .3 tomorrow and another after that!

Anyway, back to normal conversations of this thread. I’ve got the gun show on display for the ladies in the office today. Wearing a slim fit Oxford shirt that I haven’t work for ages as it used to be popping at the seams! It feels a bit baggy now, apart from around the guns of course 😉

I so wish I could do decent emoticons on my PC. I want to do a poo. On my screen. That entire sentence needs deleting and starting again.

We will do this Friday like a BOSS, ladies (and gentlemen, if Timmy is in the shadows with his speedos and David Dickenson ‘hue’). And yes, we will have Janey’s early Birthday party.

I had a little success, well two actually earlier this week… a bit cringey (for me anyway). I might have posted about one, I had a bath… no big deal maybe, but my hips weren’t touching the sides of the bath, blocking the bath water from moving about. And, I also managed to cut my own toenails. My absolutely wonderful husband has to cut them and varnish them usually as I just couldn’t bend to do it with all the flab. I did it myself 🙂 Which was a good job really as they were starting to get a bit…gnarly. I had feet like a Griffin…

In my continuing (unwitting) experiment on how sick can Greek yoghurt make me feel I can now add Ocado brand to the list of culprits. Maaaaaaan have I felt ill for the last 45 mins or so 😷 There must be different processes involved in making the stuff. I’ve got 2 bigs tubs of it in the fridge 😱

Well I Googled it (because Google knows everything) and it seem quite common that some people get a reaction to some brands. What I’m not clear on is why. Some sites state lactose intolerance (although Greek yog has less than most yogs and no other dairy affects me), some cite the bacteria involved in production. Seems to be trial and error on sorting it out though 🙁

And apparently if it is down to bacteria, the stomach cramps are a good thing as it means your body is expelling bad stuff.. gee thanks, I don’t really want to feel like death after I eat it!! Now.. who can I give my other pot to…?

Breakfast was nuts, yog and berries. As per usual. No idea what I’ll have for lunch. I’m getting a bit bored of salad. Might go to sainsburys and see if they’ve got any anitpasti.

No idea about tea either. I’m off to the outlaws this evening for the weekend. The missus is already there with the kids. I’ve told her to forwarn her parents that I’m not eating carbs, and I’m bringing my trusty bucket of peanut butter and ryvita for a snack later.

I suspect the neighbours would complain though :-))) Centre of the city living. Maybe someday!

Hmm.. not sure what for lunch, which in itself is a dangerous situation to be in. Soup of some sort I think. I am usually the expert on packed lunches though if anyone wants any (suspect) tips 🙂 Usually green salads with tuna, scallion, yellow peppers, radishes and some fishy stuff. Or chicken… Maybe I need to get more adventurous…

I don’t know Timmy, that sounds quite a sensible breakfast to me??? Hardly living dangerously 😉 Breakfast was nuts, geddit?? I know, crap 💩💩💩💩 joke. I’m capitalising on the fact that salad is going down a treat atm. This will be the fourth time this week.

Haha ‘suspect tips’ Eps, love it. I’m going to do a lunch box of mixed salad and chicken tikka and a drizzle of hot sauce. Black Nandos or Sriracha. One of my Hemsley flat baps. And a chocolate muffin. Will take a few nuts and some celery for munching on just in case. The children want to eat at the ground. I don’t blame them.

Noooo.. Tokyo, don’t take to your bed again! Ignore trolls – everyone is entitled to an opinion. Just because it isn’t theirs is not your problem!

The cake is in the oven! It looks like a cake, but I have to be honest, you wouldn’t want to lick the bowl (is that a euphemism?!) 40 mins till I see what the oily goop metamorphoses into. My boy came home, saw me cooking, and said ‘ it’s not going to be like those brownies again is it?’. When I reassured him it was a Nigella recipe ‘just like the Guinness cake’, he cheered up a little 😉

Now.. lunch. What do I need to use up? I have humus and cottage cheese.. ooh and some crackers from yesterday. Add a bit of salad (I eat it EVERY DAY) and I’m sorted! Although Timmy’s antipasti sound nice.. *wistful sigh*

Hey Tokyo, stand tall and ignore to negativity out there. Just because the trolls are writing, doesn’t mean you have to either read or take on their comments. You are as entitled as anyone, to your own opinion. Don’t permit this negativity to poison your life. Try to take a little time out for some mindfulness, to help get yourself refocused. Stick with us here and we’ll be sure to offer a hand up, rather than squashing you down.

Take care and have a great w/e.

I agree with you Janey, completely. Some women are shocking. I am very, very selective where my female friends are concerned. I don’t care that I’ve only got a few of them living locally, I’d rather quality than quantity. Never been one for standing on the school yard being false and fickle. Like to know who I can trust. Three of my closest friends I actually met online, two I’ve met, one I haven’t yet. Nobody has yet been murdered. Result.

Yes, they will notice. Unless you take a good quarter of it, cover it in yellow fondant icing… Bingo! Pacman cake!

    You’re welcome.

Most of my working life has been in male orientated industries (handy for husbands!) and I much prefer it to the bitchiness of an office full of women. The one job I had where that was the case (inside sales manager for a well known buggy manufacturer) was just cattiness central! And I also avoid yummy mummies at the school gate!!

Eps, as a general rule I don’t like people, children, babies, animals, insects and several (most) celebrities. It’s a catch-all situation. It’d be easier to tell you who I like rather than who I don’t. Hubby goes mad at me. He’d get on with a tree, him. But women can be shocking. I was sat behind a trio on Sports Day and some poor bo was copping it (like that? Can’t do the accent on the o though lol) the bitchiness was shocking and whenever any of the in-crowd were passing it was all ‘Hiya!’ and kisses on both cheeks. Sort of behaviour they should have left behind on the school yard. No thanks. I’ve always got on better with men, but I get on much better with women online. My husband however, monopolises my RL female friends. If they phone up to speak to me, he’s on the phone with them for a good half hour before I get the phone 🙂
