Yet another image we don’t need at lunchtime!!

I am in white shorts today. Yes. Shorts. White. I feel like I am 15 and down the beach! I also have a pair of nemesis jeans in the wardrobe that claim to 14, but I reckon are 12’s (like you Lucky, I bought them supposedly the same size as another pair). They are my target, long with some suit trousers that I bought secondhand and never squeezed into!

Well Timmy, that’s a good excuse as any to go shopping. Reminds me of my poor hubby who seems to be going from one extreme to the other without any Cinderella moments in between. Everything he’s trying on that was too small for him, is now too big. He came down in some shorts on Thursday and I could have squeezed a leg in them too. He was mortified that he looked stupid in them. He’s having to make notches in his favourite belt now as the pre-punched ones have finished. Now THAT is going to be bloody costly, because without wanting to stereotype, you know how women are about clothes shopping? Well, that’s my husband. Me, I buy what I need, when I need it. And even then I’ll go through charity shops first. Him? Like a bloody Kardashian sister.

Yep Janey, mine were both (supposedly) size 18. Same shop, same style jeans, same bloody rail even only one was traditional denim and the other was the dark blue. Never ever had a problem there before, as long as I know what size I am, I just replace the jeans the moment they wear out. Usually between the legs… because I walk a lot? *nods*

I love this WOE because honestly I cannot be bothered to have lunch! In the past, working from home was deadly as I used to graze my way through the cupboards! Today I had ham and egg muffins for breakfast and since then I don’t want anything! I’ve just given in and had some yog and strawberries to use them up.. otherwise.. bothered? Me? Not!

There’s one thing about clothes sizes and me that I don’t get. All of my current trousers/shorts are 34 inch waist. There’s no way in hell my waist is 34 inches, when I measure it with a tape measure it looks more like 36/38! But my 34s are too baggy.

Also, everything was tight before and now it’s loose, and according to my measurements, I havent’ really lost much from my waist, and sweet FA from my gut. How TF does that work?

I know what you mean Timmy. Hubby is in 38/40 waist and there is no way on this EARTH his waist is that small. Beats the shiz out of me too. My ‘chest’ is 50 plus inches, but my bras aren’t (thank God, or they’d have to be specially made!)

I’m not sure I have the cleavage for Pammy… in fact I am sure… I dont! oR the way too small swimming togs!!

Timmy, I know more about your body parts than I do about you as a person… worrying ;-))) just added your white arse to the mental picture…

Great about the jeans Lucky – I’d say keep one pair to show how far you’ve come but ditch everything else quickly, knowing that you will never be back to them!! I’m with you on the clothes and charity shops – saw this really depressing documentary on clothes being made for us Westerners and the terrible lives the people making them have… Since then I’m pretty fussy what I buy! But second hand is ok I decided, because at least two people at least wear the stuff 🙂 Though I do like new stuff too – hmmm it’s a battle. Might have to get my mother to make me a dress for this wedding so – at least I know she’s not working in a sweat shop, just her kitchen!! 🙂

You know a calender of BSD-ers isnt actually a bad idea!! For charity???? And to inspire!

Yes, a diabetes charity maybe 🙂

Yep definitely everything else is getting donated instantly, but I’d love to be able to stand in them jeans one day, me in one leg, my daughter in the other lol.

I love clothes – don’t get me wrong, but the quality and price can be so much better in charity shops. Those who follow fashion getting rid every season, fine by me! If it looks good and feels good I’ll wear it. Don’t care if it was A/W 2010 lol. You’re helping a charity too, so win win.

My photo wouldn’t be amazingly different – I still haven’t had that many people noticing and I’ve nearly lost 2 stone now! But who cares eh… I know! And my insides are hopefully fat-free or getting there.

I think stats might be easier to put up and then a FABULOUS photo :-))) Though if anyone wanted a before and after, that’d probably be really effective too! The important thing is that people should look WAY happier I think..

I’ve never understood the fuss about this seasons/last seasons. The most ridiculous I’ve heard of were my sister in law buying a mamas and papas buggy, brand new, for £30 instead of £300 because it was last seasons colours. It’s a f*^£ing baby’s buggy! And the skiing sallopettes that I bought this year. Screamingly bright blue because they were also last seasons colours. Ski gear doesn’t have seasons, it has decades!

Maybe i should do a ‘then and now’ pic when we go back to the place in Spain that we went to last year. you know, that place, where no body failings can be hidden… That’s late September. I’ve got 2 months to carry on the battle!

I’m also a fan of charity shops, dress agencies and Ebay. There’s a smashing shop near where I work, and I’ve had some designer bargains from there over the years 😀 About the only things I have to buy new are jeans, because they’re tricky to get right. Oh and underwear. Second hand underwear?? Nooooooooooo

I go away briefly because my parents are paying a visit and – bloody mayhem here.

Nobody’s noticed my weight loss either really, I’m quite cross lol. Only people who know about it. Mum said ‘Have you been out anywhere? No. What do you expect then.’ So that was me told lol.

Oh the baby stuff is beyond ridiculous, Timmy, that’s the worst. All mine had second hand prams, and I don’t care either. And proper prams too, not these that cost as much as a car and the baby looks ridiculously uncomfortable in.

It would be a great photo op if it ever happens Eps 🙂 Considering my daughter’s waist is smaller than my thigh circumference at the time of starting. Never say never, but according to the goals on my UP app, I’m 81 weeks off my goal of 62 kg. That’s gone down 3 weeks since yesterday lol, it obviously hasn’t encountered BSD before 🙂

Well if you want a meal that is a raging success, try the steak and creme fraiche thing I was on about the other day.

Omg Janey, can you imagine??? How brilliant would that be? And yes, Tokyo, for comedy effect, that would be funny.

I know Eps! Eeeeeeek! I love figures and stats, you see, hence my list of forty thousand mini goals. I think I have a goal for every pound. Probably. Ok, I’m not that bad but I’ve crossed off… ten since I’ve started; Half a stone, get into 16 stone bracket, lost 5% of body weight, lost a stone, lost a stone and a half, get into 15 stone bracket, lost 10% of body weight, get under 100 kilos, lost two stone, and today BMI is officially under 40! Next goals are 6lb off for 2 and a half stone, and 8lb to get me into the 14 stone bracket!!

I’ve just had the most divine meatballs. Just minced pork, garlic, salt, black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, cumin and ground coriander in a tomato and paprika sauce. Meant to be sweet paprika but I used hot paprika cos I’m a rebel like that. Excelled myself and stuffed now! Need to do some walking again though Eps, I’m languishing around the 2000 mark – again! Cooler tonight though and earlier so might get an hour in before rugby (watching not playing btw).

I’ve made them a couple of times now, there’s garden peas in the sauce too and I add red pepper and onion too to bulk it out a little. Plus, food without onion sometimes can be a bit bland. Wondered why they were so good this time and I remembered I made it from my head last time and left out the spices. Plus I used a heaped normal metal teaspoon of each spice this time instead of a level one.

Have you made them before Janey? I have, but with ground almonds. Turned out ok, if a bit faffy getting them off the paper I rolled them between. Had the thumbs up from hubby who had some of his favourite Lancashire cheese on them.

Me too. Hey, how will you know if cake is nice? Are you making two? I’m going for the one Eps put up but in cupcake form. I’ve got a nice selection of cupcakes in the freezer now! The blueberry almond ones, the banana ones from the other day and I’ll hopefully have nice choccie ones too tomorrow!

First time making them. I substituted a bit of the almond flour with our old staple, gram flour. Added a bit of olive oil as dough seemed a bit crumbly. No problem getting them off the paper (used a fish slice!) Added a bit of parmesan to some for a pimp.

I’m only making one cake tomorow although might divide a litle of the mix off to bake seperately.. for testing purposes of course. Probably safer to test before I confront the family with it!! Don’t want my sister getting all smug if it fails, do I?!

Let me know how the cupcakes go. Do they have maple syrup in them? If so, that’s why I vetoed the recipe.. of all the useless, expensive ingredients I’ve purchased recently, that is the one I don’t have to hand!
