    I’ve been type 2 diabetic for exactly 5 years on 4 metformin daily, 20mg Simvastatin and 2.5mg Ramipril. I have an annual diabetic review, my next one due in June. I’m hoping my hba1c will be low by then. I’ve suggested a similar diet to the fast 800 to my GP in the past but he basically poo-pooed it!! I wonder what happens to patients who have lowered their various numbers to the level of non- diabetics, but who are still on medication? I’m hoping for a reduction in my medication at least and then more regular reviews to see if I can stop them.
    However my GP might not agree!!
