Black Beans in Beef Recipe??

    Can anyone clarify which type of black beans are used in the beef stir-fry with asparagus and sesame seeds? Are they the Mexican type ones from a tin or the Chinese style ones made from soya?
    Making this tonight and the beef fillet is so expensive I don’t want to ruin it.

    As the recipe had soy sauce, I used the Chinese black beans. Very tasty too.

    Thanks for the replies. I used Mexican black beans which were quite tasty but next time I’d probably marinate them with the beef. I’d like to try chinese black beans also. You can usually get them from the Chinese supermarket.
