Hi there – I wonder if anyone before starting has been told that their amylase levels have been a bit raised? I am going to get a retest next week and wondered if anyone else has any experience of this? Is it blood sugar related? Thank you

A quick google tells me that it is an enzyme that helps digest carbohydrate so I suppose, yes it is blood sugar related but I would imagine that more is good if it helps get rid of carbs.
The doc should be checking you for an inflamed pancreas, just in case.
