As part of my getting rid of diabetes plan (hopefully) I have started swimming today and managed an hour, a friend has asked me to join her for yoga and I cant decide whether to swim once a week and do yoga once a week or swim twice a week, a consideration is that yoga costs twice as much per session as swimming – Anyone have any views on this ?

I personally find yoga boring but i try doing it with a home video, much cheaper. swimming is a much more effective all over body exercise and burns lots of calories. I love to swim and do it every day in summer (I have a pool) in winter I go to the local baths twice a week

    Hi Benns
I was wondering what you decided to do in the end and how you are getting on with it? I would do both swimming and yoga as both offer different benefits. I also find Yoga helps me in ways other than just physical leaving me feeling less stressed, more balanced and less likely to overeat for comfort.

    We are all different though
