Hi just started five days ago and lost 7.5lbs already so alls good.
Today however I’ve worried myself as the food I’ve had (and it’s all from the BSD cook book!!) has totalled over 100grms in carbs which according to MyFitnessPal is over my allotted carb intake for the day. (All food was veggies today and all grown above ground!!!)
So my question to you all is what sort of carb intake are you all working on whilst on the 800 calories a day?
    Thanks for any replies friends

Many people work to a self imposed target according to their personal circumstances. Many people have also just followed the recipes in the books and lost plenty of weight without counting carbs specifically. If you find a long period in which you don’t lose weight then decreasing the carb percentage is one of the first things to look at, along with increasing the amount of fat and water, and exercise. It is widely regarded that 50g carbs is a good level to aim at to ensure the body remains in ketosis, but I am maintaining now and regularly go above 100-150 g carbs without putting on weight.

I think most people on this forum tend to aim for about 50 grams a day. I stick with 20 grams or less because I’m insulin resistant. I’ve gotten so accustomed to it that I rarely even get close to 20. I don’t use the recipes from either book, but many people have commented that their numbers are quite high, both in calorie and carb count.

Having said that, your highish carb count seems to be working for you at the moment. When your weight loss slows down, and it will, so steel yourself for it because it can be far more traumatic than you might expect, you’ll have a lot of leeway to make downward adjustments to your carb intake.

If you have blood sugar issues, on the other hand, you might want to look into dropping the carbs right away, depending on how your BG results are looking.
