The US version of the Blood Sugar Diet will be published on 22nd March (which, incidentally, is my birthday). To help with spreading the word I would really appreciate hearing from Americans who have either done the diet or are thinking about doing so, and who wouldn’t mind being involved in some publicity.

It could be for a magazine, newspaper or radio. I would obviously let you know exactly what you are letting yourself in for before putting you in contact with a journalist, but it would be great to have some stories to share.

If you’re interested, please email info@thebloodsugardiet.com.

    Thanks in anticipation,

    All the best,

    Michael

Happy birthday for the 22nd, and thank you. Nothing has ever worked as well for me as the BSD.

I will be attempting the diet when the book releases. My blood sugar is still normal, but creeping towards the higher end of normal. My mother has type 2, I’m hoping to talk her into attempting it with me.

    Michael:

The book has indeed hit the store shelves here. I picked mine up at Barnes and Noble last week. I have been reading and posting on the forum for a couple of weeks. I have cleaned out my pantry and fridge and have started out with the Mediterranean plan. I like the foods quite well and feel great. I am eating most meals from recipes on the website and in two weeks have lost 7 lbs. I am reading the book now and will begin to transition into the 8 week 800 cal. diet. I have found it useful to begin slowly in this fashion to ease into the full BSD program. The forum and it’s members, who are all wonderfully supportive, have been a great help, and especially handy in the period before I had the book.

thank you for your work and for the website Michael. I am sure the book will be a great success here in the U.S. as word gets out!

    cheers,
    jeff

Received my copy of the book this week (3/22) from my AmazonUS pre-order, and devoured it (not literally). Am now going through a slow, detailed read, and feel increasingly heartened and “up to the task” of planning and carrying out this “real food” 800. Have also been busy reading suggested articles and web sites from the book, as well as building a reading program and locating the articles listed in the Notes section at the end of the book.

    Thanks for this ….

Thanks for publishing it this side of the puddle, Michael! Purchased the e-book the day it released, the hard copy today, and will be beginning the BSD Fast 800 tomorrow morning. I am 6’2″ and 275 lbs. (188 centimeters and 125 kilos). I have the food, got a scale, am ready to get a good night’s sleep and begin. I am at the high end of prediabetic, have high blood pressure, also have some neurological issues that are probably related to blood sugar, and am just generally tired of feeling poorly. I overeat and consume a lot of sugar primarily for emotional reasons. I need this to work for me.

I pre-ordered your book, Dr. Mosley. I started following the plan last week, 7th of April. In addition to starting the lifestyle change, I took your advice and purchased a Fitbit. My profile says it all: I was pre-diabetic but was diagnosed with type2 the beginning of December. I made a deal with my doctor that I could reverse it with diet and exercise, otherwise she would put me on pills. She gave me 3 months. That was 4 months ago. I had only lost 5lbs. I need to shed more than 70lbs. Thank you for your meticulous research on the subject and for publishing the book. Love the Forums on this site which are an echo your encouraging tone from the book.

    Hi Michael,
A huge “Thank you” to you and the Prof for the BSD – I have had great results already, but much more importantly (as I’ve had large weight losses many times before) I really think this is a working tool for the rest of my life. Every other regime has been a struggle whereas this has genuinely been a delight.
Just a little suggestion – I know there are plenty of books out on 5:2 meals, but they are nearly all aimed at lower calories, being mainly for 600kCal fasting days. True, one can scale up the sizes, but a new BSD cookbook would be great – we have mined the recipes in the BSD book and found them superb and satisfying.
I do hope you’ve been trawing the forums – the success stories are many and amazing – “This has to work for me”, My 8 weeks” and “Over the line…..” should give you some great facts and figures.
When’s the TV programme on progress so far?
    Thanks again
    John
