I was 360lbs and unable to do too much in the way of exercise because of the weight I was carrying.

I was constantly hungry, and whilst having healthy meals, I was eating huge portions.

    My waist was 48 inches…

At my widest point 56 inches…

Then I started the blood sugar diet.

    I am now 90lbs lighter at 269lbs

    I am loosing a stone a month.

    My waist is 38 inches.

At my widest I am 44 inches

And all without feeling hungry once, I was to put it simply 100% addicted to carbs.

So what are my favourite meals

Yeovalley yogurt with a few blueberries or raspberries (110 cals)

Baby spinach, boiled egg, avocado and smoked salmon salad (140 cals)

    40g mixed nuts (220 cals)

Greek Salad, sea bass, chicken breast and lean steak are all favourites, served with roasted mediterranean veg, or salad.

What I change in under 20 weeks.

This week I cycle the 10 miles to the local town and back for a meeting.

From armchair slouch to cycling fittie.

This has to be the BEST life changing diet ever.

Thank you so much for your comments – we are all in this together and when I started it was people stories that really encouraged me.

Onwards, downwards and lighter as they say!

Great to hear about your success on this diet, it should inspire many more people to give it a go.
The fact that the BSD can make a massive difference in such a short space of time is something I wish I had known ages ago! Barriers to starting a diet when you are very overweight are the perceived pain and the time it takes to get anywhere. Not so with this way of eating. I know I can do this in some form, forever- something I’ve never said before about any previous weight loss/healthy eating plan.
Congratulations on your remarkable achievement so far.

Thanks for sharing this. How marvellous!
I am struggling with my plateau ad constipation but will continue with the diet. Sugar levels have also stopped dropping.

But i feel much better. No heaviness in the stomach region. sleep is better.

I am travelling for 3 weeks at the end of Sept and that will be a real test.

I have to increase my level of activity. I just have to.

All the posts I read are so motivating.

Thanks to all those who share.

Thank you all so much, I have now lost 96lbs with the 100lb loss looming!

It is getting easier as well, as I am much more active and so burning more calories.

This week, I have cycled 50 miles!

People keep telling me how well I look, and then tell me I should eat more carbs.

I love being told how well I look.

I will never go back to the heavy, bloated, lethargic feel that carbs gave me.

This is not a diet – this is life – and it is amazing to get your life back!!!

It is interesting, I thought my weight loss had slowed. But.

    Today I hit 100lb loss.

And on Thursday I cycled 45 miles.

All due to this amazing, wonderful diet.

    Hi BennyBoy

I was not on meds, but I was thirsty a lot, needed to go the the loo with great haste and had blurry vision sometimes, which are early symptoms of diabetes. All those have gone, but I did not go to the Doctor (I know I maybe should have) but all have totally gone now.

I have been working out how to celebrate, a dance, a bike ride, a walk in the sun.

No longer do I even think of a nice meal!

I hope those food addicted days are behind me.

Off to put my cycling/dancing/walking boots on.
