I attended and event today, which offered a buffet lunch. There were sandwiches, quiche, chicken in breadcrumbs … EVERYTHING was high carb, including all drinks other than tea or coffee and it was too hot for those. I ended up eating the salad garnish to the sardines, the berries decorating the desserts and drinking tap water.
I was fine. I’d guessed it would be carb heavy, so had a decent breakfast before I went, and tap water is fine with me – but it did make me realise how normal it is for many to eat very little which isn’t high carb.
