    Hi all,

I am new to this having never posted on a site like this.

I have battled with my weight for years and have tried various slimming tools and have finally stumbled across the BSD. I just wanted to share my progress really and receive any useful tips if anybody has any?

I have completed two weeks so far, 9lbs loss in week one and 4lbs loss in week two, I am thrilled to say the least! I am really enjoying the diet and am eating a variety of foods. I no longer get hunger pangs which is great and am making sure I drink lots of water. I have been relying on the 8-Week BSD book for recipes but wondered if there are any other decent recipe books out there to inspire me?

Anyway, this is me, hopefully I can chat with some of you as the next few weeks progress so I stay motivated!

Welcome hopefulgirl. You seem to be doing a great job on your own but it is always helpful to have contact with others in the same boat. Congrats on the great weight loss. There is a site called thedietdoctor which does good low carb food. Also, I notice on my facebook page lots of sites come up because I have looked at various diabetic sites so one is called BuzzFeed and another is Goodful. You could search the net for Keto – although this diet it not fully keto the site does have some v. low carb recipes.

You could also join our weekly thread called One Week At A Time….. with the current weeks date – i.e. 18th May is running right now. It changes every Tuesday. Good luck.

Just remembered that I also get lots of recipe ideas from the Fast800 site. Different from the recipe books. Had one the other day if you like chicken. It was a basic sauce of onions, garlic, red pepper, canned tomatoes and a few flavours like cumin, coriander etc. Cook it down. In the meantime bash some chicken breasts really flat and lay in an ovenproof dish, pour on the tomato sauce and top with chopped mozarella cheese. Put in oven for 30 mins and it is delish.
