Hi Lucy and Pootle. My Christmas food was more quantity as I managed to avoid the pots etc and I don’t like the taste of mince pies or christmas cake. It was more that we had 3 Christmas Dinners. No.1 for son in laws children on Xmas Eve as he cant have them on the day, then No.2 was on the actual day, then No,3 was when sil family arrived and we had a Danish feast – I was sick to death of food by then. Haven’t been weighed yet but will start back on the diet tomorrow and a dry January.

Funny how we don’t really enjoy the rubbish we used to eat. I had my one craving – pork pie – however, there was no brown sauce and that is when I realised I don’t actually like pork pie, it is the brown sauce I was craving. I can have that in small doses.

Happy New Year and much more success in 2025.

  • Thank you for setting up the new thread Sunny. Just popping in to say I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and family time. Now to wish you all a very Happy New Year and will see you tomorrow on the new thread. New Year new goals and looking back on old ones.

Great that you have finally got an appointment Margaret, a very happy new year for you.

    Hello everyone !
Well, after going AWOL in December, here I am ready for 2025 ! I felt a need to reassess .I have been struggling with a profound aversion to meat and looking into a more plant based approach . I haven’t quite got it all sorted yet but I’m work in progress .Staying low carb is key for me and the only thing that works but I can’t handle meat overload .

We cooked on Christmas Day.I made the BOSH ultimate nut roast which I really enjoyed.Lots of veg but also chestnuts, mixed nuts etc .I am thinking about doing another one and freezing it so I can have an occasional small slice . Fortunately I love veg .
Our friend brought a raspberry liquor trifle ( couldn’t find sherry in France) and it was very good . I made a Baileys tiramisu which was a success on the 28th when we were invited to the French side of the family .That was more traditional French with lots of seafood, oysters and coquilles Saint Jacques .So excessive rich food was consumed .

We just have one last invite for lunch tomorrow and that will be it .Refocus time ! I have a massive motivation as we have booked to go back to Australia from 13th March to 23rd April , 6 weeks to hug my little grandson who is now almost 15 months old !
Flights were eye wateringly expensive compared to 2023 but not going is not an option for me . I have reasoned that noone knows what tomorrow will bring .Right now I am in good health but we all know things can change in an instant . Hubby is 10 years older than me and quite able to travel even though he is a bit slower with 2 knee replacements . So … we are living for the moment . We will just have to tighten our belts elsewhere .

I intend to stay healthy, continue with my pilates, yoga and aquagym classes but I can never take my eye off the ball .I reckon I am also looking at a stone to discard .

Wishing everyone a very happy , peaceful New Year and above all good health for us and our loved ones .

Thank you Sunny and sunshine girl for keeping the thread going . I will do my best to help and support but honestly you are all doing brilliantly with your commitment and determination . I have been reading through the December thread .Well done on all the excellent results, positive medical visits etc .For those who have been struggling , a fresh start beckons .No point dwelling on regrets , just move on .

Food is such an emotionally charged issue , the carb monsters are never far away so let’s do our best to keep them at bay and stay in control of our healthy choices .

    Lots of love to everyone
    Wendy xx

Hi Pootle, sorry I didn’t see your request before now (and I am not so sure it is particularly low carb as it is packed with fruit).

I used 1 egg, 2 teaspoons molasses, 70g Ground almonds, 70g suet, 120g figs (dried originally but soaked in fruit juice and spices overnight with the rest of the fruit and nuts). 80g Medjool dates. 50g hazelnuts, 40g large raisins and a couple of large pieces of chopped stem (or crystallised for more carbs) ginger. I used 120ml of the fruit juice which was almost all absorbed. Just mix it all together with the soaked fruits and cook. I cooked it like a standard Christmas pud but in a slow cooker overnight on the low setting and then just microwaved portions later. It was very moist and tasty. Maybe could have used a bit more of the ground almonds ‘base’ and one stage I missed out was pureeing some of the figs and dates which may have helped it hold together better.

    Have a lovely ‘Christmas’ today.

Happy New Year from Sydney everyone! I hope you have a wonderful evening when time comes for you all. I’ve been very good as far as food is concerned but possibly more sparkling wine than is wise but it’s New Year after all.

I will check in in a few days and hoping everyone joins the new challenge with optimism and strength.

Thank you very much SunnyB & I hope you had an enjoyable festive period & A Happy New Year to you & everyone else. We will now be spending today at home having had to cancel our lunch at a friends house because my husband has unfortunately picked up a virus from our daughter in law after spending Christmas there as has our other son. So far I am ok but it might be RSV & not a cold so not wanting to infect others. C’est la vie!!🤔
My good news today is that I finally have an MSK appointment next week!
    See you next year👍😀
With best wishes to everyone & to a healthy & hopeful 2025

Hello …. just popping in to let you all know the January thread has now been set up, ready for us all to make a fresh start in 2025. The title is Jumping into January – New year New You in 2025. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

    Happy New Year everyone. 🥳🎊🤸‍♀️🥂

Happy New Year one and all, whether you are a stalwart, a returner or new to the BSD and the forum, everyone’s welcome to join us!

So here we are, a brand new year for a brand new start, to gain a brand new you.

As Verano said at the end of the December thread, we all need to identify our own personal motivators, our ‘whys’ and from there set our goal and plan how we’ll achieve it.

It doesn’t matter what happened with our WoE yesterday, last week, last month or last year, because we don’t have the power to change any of that, but we CAN control what happens from right now going forward – the decision is ours.

So shake off the residue of 2024 and any over indulgence during the festive season, we know what we need to do to make January count, so let’s get started!

    Hi everyone,
Still posting here as I’m on a roll at the moment, and don’t want to lose momentum before the next challenge begins.
Mariet – 5kg less is still a great result. Just think of how many people put that much on year over year (including me this year, I’m afraid! I’m blaming the elimination diet.). So give yourself a pat on the back for that. We all have the chance to do better in 2025 now.
I’m doing much better now that I’ve kicked the rice cakes out of the house and am back on low carb. Starting to get more organized with my cooking too. I’m currently making broccoli sandwich bread, so I can have it with cheese and/or marmite or hummus.
I made roasted lupini beans earlier to have for snacks or for a bit of crunch with meals this week. But I’m so much less hungry now, so snacking is already less of an issue.
I always start out determined, but when I get busy that seems to fade away. So my goal going foward is to set up some good habits now that will hopefully carry me through the spring and summer when I lose my brain power.
    Hope everyone is doing well!

I think a year long challenge sounds great. I will do my best to be more active in it.
Before anything Elgar I want to congratulate you, Yowser, on an amazing result for the challenges this year. You are an inspiration, we all know how hard it is to get those results.
I am finishing the year 5kg less than I started which I’m glad about but it was better a few months ago. Next year I’m hoping to be able to be consistent even in the face of temptation!
I am wishing you all good health and happiness for the new year.

Sunny, sorry about the bug, at least it didn’t last long.
Verano, fantastic that you managed to have a contemplative day!

    Today’s positives:-
I had a call 📞 from a good friend who has a holiday place nearby. They had booked a table 🍽️ for us all for Sunday lunch on the off chance we could join them. 😄😄 Good company and good food!

We are enjoying watching the (very) old favourites on the TV. The Sound of Music and now The Sting!! 🥴😄

    Thanks for the reassurance Lucy!
I spent Christmas with my brother’s widow, the first Christmas under her roof for over 40 years! 🤔 I am her only relative now so I was looking after her following an operation to remove a lump on her neck. Unfortunately she wasn’t prepared to cater for my diet, even though I took food with me, so it was quite difficult! I did avoid most of the bad things…but the brandy butter (loaded with sugar 😩) got the better of me!! 🤣
I felt hungry most of the time, which I haven’t much since the early days of the diet! Self control was in overdrive! Even though I am home and back on track, I still feel ‘nibbly’!
BUT i will master keeping the weight off and diabetes in remission! 😇

🧘🏻‍♂️🧘🏻‍♂️🧘🏻‍♂️ wonderful peaceful almost ‘zen’ day letting me reflect on the year and think about a plan for 2025!

Just wanted to pop-in for the last time this year.

Sleekly I’m sure our bodies appreciate a bit of a ‘surprise’ now and again. I think they get used to the same old routine and when we ‘wake’ them up they thank us!

So, I’ve had a ‘quiet’ day today with time to reflect on the year in general and my weight progress in particular. Yes I weight half a stone or so less than this time last year. Yes I’ve had several holidays, including cruises, and ‘managed’ my weight. Yes my blood sugars have remained in the ‘normal’ range so my T2 is still in remission.

BUT, I’m reminded of how brilliantly well Yowzer has done this year and in the last six months especially, I think. I had written down similar ‘food for thought’ ideas that motivated Yowzer …..
If your motivation is running low try bringing some emotion back by asking ….
    1. How will I feel if I continue versus if I stop?
    2. What will my life look like in one year from now if I continue versus if I stop?

So that’s the million dollar question! I guess it all comes down to how much you ‘want’ to lose weight and your ‘Why’. It worked for Yowzer and it can work for everyone who is prepared to put in the work!

Yowzer wishing you continued success with maintenance in 2025.

We all know the ‘how’ so I guess we must all make our own goals and manage our expectations accordingly. What is your why? Fitting into clothes? Putting T2 into remission? General health and well-being? Do we go for a modest goal that we know is more than achievable but which could lead to complacency or a greater goal?

I don’t know what my goal will be. I’m still trying to figure out my ‘plan’ for 25 but one thing I know for certain is ‘I need a plan’! As the saying goes … fail to plan and you plan to fail!

Time for thought as the new year approaches.

Happy and Healthy 2025 hoping it brings all you wish for!🥂🎉🎊🎈

Verano and Pootle, so pleased to see you dipping in with positives over the last few days. With family staying, I have been away from tech most of the Christmas period so am only now catching up.
V, thrilled about you getting an unexpected trip to see your family in Portugal, I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time. And you’re right, we can surely all find at least one positive each day, so let’s be sure to post them in 2025.
Pootle, so pleased your hens were safe and wish you a wonderful “Christmas” on Tuesday.

Okay, well there have been positives, so here goes …
🎄🎊 good family Christmas eve and Christmas day, nice and chilled with refreshingly little stress
🤢🤒 despite all of us succumbing to a stomach bug (the 1st one on Boxing day) it was mercifully only a 24hr virus, so everyone has recovered now.
👫👍🏻 met younger son and our granddaughter today for lunch, he then delivered my parents safely home

Hi Pootle, I thought you were at family for Xmas?
Anyway hope you have a lovely second Xmas!!
I haven’t done too much damage either. 2/3 lbs
    So back to it.
Butter isn’t too bad anyway on BSD so the brandy butter isn’t the worst thing you could eat. Mince pies have been My downfall and hot baguettes with cold meats. Have succumbed to some crisps and chocolate occasionally but never went silly. I just needed the break tbh. I think getting back to it isn’t going to be easy but has to be done.

    Hi Lucy,
So sorry to hear about your Dad. It is such a strain, I hope your Mum can get some ‘outside’ help, so you can both have respite.
Good that you can get back to seriously concentrate on losing that last bit of weight before your son’s wedding!
I also didn’t have the best Christmas, but Husband and I have decided to celebrate on Tuesday instead! So a turkey dinner then, but no potatoes, parsnips or carrots. Butternut squash, celeriac and cauliflower to go with the sprouts and chestnut!
I didn’t put weight on until yesterday, when I weighed 2lb heavier than the day before!! (I weigh every day!)
Like you, I resisted potato and crisps etc, but did have some Christmas pudding and a few mini mince pies…But my real sin was the brandy butter!😩🥴
Back to it on Wednesday, 🤞I haven’t done too much damage!!
Wishing a Happy, Healthy 2025 for everyone ! Xx

Morning everyone hope you all had a good Xmas. Mine wasn’t the best, parents haven’t been well snd dad was taken to hospital on boxing day wirh a bad chest, he’s back home now but it’s all proving too much for my mum as his alzheimers seems to be worse too
My eating hasn’t been wonderful and i have gained a few pounds but today is the start of back to it! My sons wedding is in March and cyprus April so I’m aiming for lots more loss by then
In honesty having some time off the diet hadn’t been as much fun as anticipated, my tummy hasn’t been right and I have felt nauseous at times. Although i haven’t abandoned it completely my body hadn’t enjoyed the change!
I’ve had no potatoes or things like that but have had some mince pies and a few warm baguettes and rhe chocolate of course!
Today is the restart day and need to lose the few lbs I have put on as even those are making me feel yukky. Then go after my next stone. Hopefully rhe few extra lbs will come off quickly once I start it again. Here’s to 2025 and getting rid of that stone and half that’s left .

  • Hi 54 and all,
Wishing everyone had a very Merry Christmas and will have a happy and prosperous New Year. I hope it’ll be the best yet!

Doing OK with Christmas. I stayed with a friend, and although feared I’d have to keep saying NO, I said I’d be cautious, but would relax a bit. So had sensible food and just a few restricted treats.
Did manage a walk around their place and saw otter tracks, saw Northern Divers, incredible waves off the Atlantic Ocean. And on another drive saw golden eagles and even the huge white tailed eagle – both sadly at a distance but at least seen!
Had a good time. Only had 3 quality street.
Returned home and got the log stove going. Sadly very smokey so took a great effort over 2 days to sort it. But the chimney needs a clean. 😀 Maybe tomorrow or when it’s not raining or blowing a gale!
With my Op at the end of Jan and lost a little weight before I went North (UK), so plan a very strict diet until the Op. Losing all I can will help me during my recovery greatly! One day I’d hope to re-play tennis, but the surgeon isn’t convinced, as it’ll wear out the replacement joint. I plan therefore to make the brace when taking part in various activities! 😀
I do see this as a way of life. I know my new ‘normal’ eating maintains my weight with the little DIY that I do for days on end. So I’ll have to do more activity, and then hopefully lose that much more weight too (once recovered). But I will try hard to lose all I can before the op, as I know it works, and know it can be done! It is a way of life and an enjoyable one! But I allowed (recently) some bread type treats, which is fatal!. Have also added a little carrot, as I need to pay my hair attention to gain more nutrients for it.
Anyway I hope everyone has some super New Year celebrations!
I hope to get a new pup in ’25 which will increase my walking when recovered! So I hope lots of ‘fun and games’ ahead.
Hope we all lose more weight this coming year! 😀

I had my first whoosh! It’s odd because the last three days I’ve had more calories than usual. I had a bite of pumpkin pie filling and apple pie filling (I’m gluten intolerant) and a couple bites of mashed potatoes. Other than that it’s been mostly the foods I eat but in higher quantities. Bodies are weird! I started drinking more decaf coffee with HWC and something called Ripple Milk as the creamer. Ripple Milk is made from peas and they have a chocolate one so I use that to give a slight flavor enhancement to the coffee. I’ve found I really need to sip electrolytes through the day or I start to feel week and sometime headachey. I’ve had more fruit than usual. More olives. More veggies. Anyway, I’ll take the whoosh however it came.

    3. I am looking forward to supper of pork tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto with mashed cauliflower and roasted med veg! Back on track for low carb! 😇😄

Well I have bravely weighed & am very embarrassed to write that I have gained 6.25 lbs in weight in the last three weeks of festive activities 😿🙀🙀. No wonder my trousers are feeling tight. Well I know that I must do something about this & clear my house of leftover festive treats & food but it will have to wait until after lunch at a friends house on New Years Eve! It is so easy to go back to high carb sugary temptations & drinking more wine than usual but I am back home now when hopefully I can find the resolve to get back to my BSD routine. To rub salt into my wounds my husband fortunately has only gained one pound in weight over this festive period but I know that my not having yet managed a good period of weight maintenance my weight balloons if I go off piste. It’s all very disheartening & frustrating but all my own doing of course. Mia culpa🤔 2024 has been an awful one for me with hopefully next year a better one.
I am going to have to get back on track from 1st January 2025.
An in advance Happy New Year to you all.

What a great result, Mixnmatch! The figgy pudding sounds interesting. Might be something to try for next year for me given I can’t have wheat. This Christmas my indulgence was a couple of gluten free cupcakes. So not carb or calorie restricted, but just had one on Christmas eve and one on Christmas day.
I’ve been back to low carb yesterday and today and was doing pretty well until this evening when the carb flu hit. So feeling a bit low energy and headachy now. But much less hungry than when I was on the elimination diet, so that’s a positive. My plan is to get this carb flu phase over by the new year, so I’ll have a running start at meeting my goals for the next challenge.
Hope everyone is having a good break with friends and family and see you in the New Year!

A few days late, but I did weigh in on Christmas Eve which was my hundredth day. Total lost 21 pounds, 1 pound up from my lightest in the hundred but visceral fat reading down 0.2% from the start. The paleo/14th century ingredients figgy pudding was a triumph, I can see I will be making it for the family again. I ‘modernised’ it a touch with some suet and an egg, and omitted the wine, and used molasses instead of honey for a darker pudding. Recipe will be provided if requested, but it isn’t calorie restricted, just has no flour or breadcrumbs. Off the bus now until the new year, but will be jumping on the 2025 voyage of discovery. Great to read all the other success stories on the other threads too. Keep on keeping on all!
And a Happy New Year to you all.

    Hello!
    Happy Holidays!

Pootle well done! It must have felt wonderful to fit into your red dress. So glad you have achieved your goal in 2024 and enjoyed a few Christmas goodies. 2025 your year to maintain and continue your new ‘life in remission’!

Margaret yes sometimes it can all be ‘too much’ but let’s revel in the joy of family’! Hopefully your surgery will be soon and in a few months it will all be behind you and your mobility will improve day on day.

Well I’ve just finished my ‘marathon’ ‘cook in’…. 8 on Sunday, 5 yesterday and 6 today! Hard work but such great pleasure.

So, not having seen our son and family for over three months we booked a last minute trip to go and see them. We are flying out on New Year’s Eve for 11 nights. So for me, cooking is over now but it’s now washing and ironing! Think I might prefer cooking!!!

Hope Christmas has lived up to your expectations. Let’s just move forward now towards 2025 … our year to ‘come alive’!

Thank you Pootle & I am sure you looked wonderful in your red dress & brilliant that you are in your diabetic remission 👏👏 . My husband & are staying with our eldest son & his wife & two granddaughters plus our youngest son also invited to stay so it’s lovely having a family get together. Our youngest granddaughter doesn’t have an off switch & they were given hover boards & have been whizzing around around the kitchen & living room so rather hazardous but they are very much enjoying being on them. After the usual quiet of home with just my husband & I it is all a bit overwhelming & I am feeling my age. We ate roast lamb with all the usual trimmings cooked by our son who enjoys cooking with a little help from me. We have also had all the festive nibbles of prawn toasts, duck spring rolls & halloumi fingers etc but I have avoided the crisps & only had one chocolate but several glasses of wine! 🥂🍷However I will get back on track from tomorrow when we go home with low carb eating. The weather is grey & overcast here with a sort of misty occasional light rain so rather dreary. I am hoping we might be able to play some family board or card games today & I know the girls will want to go out to play in the local park but I won’t be able to walk that far but expect my husband will go. Our youngest son is still recovering from a broken toe so I don’t know how far he will want to walk. It a all a bit mad & out or routine of course as such gatherings are & I am sure my digestive system will be very pleased to go back to our usual BSD eating & my husband is carefully choosing what he is eating & drinking because he is a Type two diabetic although I am not.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful time.

I have not counted calories or carbs and have indulged in a little Christmas pudding (bought) with brandy butter (home-made) and brandy cream (bought)!
I wore a red dress that hubby bought for me in 2018… size 14…but the red high heels didn’t stay the course, and slippers ruled! 👠🥿

Just a quick check in from me to wish you all a wonderful Christmas / festive season. 🎄🤶 ❤️. I hope that you all get some rest and relaxation, and feel recharged and ready for 2025.

Sue I love your theme of 2025 Time to Come Alive! and will set up the new thread on Thursday 2nd January (or even Wednesday 1st if I get round to it, but we are hosting New Year for a large group of friends so I’m likely to be clearing up all day on the 1st 😂).

And Yowser, I just want to add my voice to everyone else’s and say a huge well done for your loss this year. 60lb since June – and 32 of those on our latest challenge – is phenomenal. So pleased for you! And also so pleased you will still check in with us next year too 😀

Lots of love to everyone – and see you on the other side!

    DCT xx

Hello my last post for a short while.

S-g that’s a wonderful result. This must surely spur you on in the New Year to get down to a 14!

Well we had our first ‘celebration’ last night for 10 and had a wonderful evening. Wednesday we are just 5 and Thursday 6 but I’m actually quite organised! I have list upon list upon list!

I’m looking forward to a ‘new year’ with new goals and aspirations. I’m starting to make mine now and feeling really positive. Yowser did so well this year which just shows how determination can pay off. Depends how much you ‘want it’!

Happy holidays to everyone? Enjoy the holiday season, maybe not with ‘gay abandon’ but with ‘considered eating’ and a few indulgences!

  • Hi everyone, we are now safely in our daughters home after a gut churning crossing on the ferry. We were lucky to get here as lots of ferries started to be cancelled as we arrived. Daughter booked me a full body massage which I had this morning.

So much food lying around, crisps, mince pies, chocolates etc. I have resisted all but a small chunk of daughters homemade sourdough bread. Now munching on sliced ham to keep me out of the doritos.

Great news, the dresses I ordered (both same but in sizes 18 and 16) are beautiful but they are both TOO BIG. Yeah. Still means I have to find another. I could reorder with delivery tomorrow but not sure it will really suit me as it is very off the shoulder and just might annoy me. However, I could always send it back before we leave here. Thinking about it.

Thats me now signing off until after the big day. Have a wonderful Christmas and don’t stress too much about the diet. New Year will bring a new chance to get back on track with newed motivation.

Thank you Sunny-B for offering to set up the January thread, I am sure we will all need it.

    Hi everyone,
First of all a massive well done Yowzer, that’s a fantastic result🎉 also well done to anyone else who has lost or maintained.I daren’t weight myself tbh as I don’t think I will have lost anything and there could well be a chance I’m heavier than I’ve ever been.DCT I think that’s a great idea for the new thread and I will definitely start on whichever day that begins.
Cathy I’m so pleased your latest eye treatment has worked. Here’s hoping 2025 is a good year for us all and I hope you all have a lovely Christmas.

    Dawn ❤️

    Hi everyone,
DCT – the year long challenge sounds good. I too feel it’s going to take quite a while for me to lose what I need to. I think I need to lose around 50lb.
Yowzer – congrats on your fantastic results. You have inspried me to make a real effort in the new year and see where I can get to. And thanks for the quote. I do believe that is exactly what my counsellor has been trying to get through to me. I’ll have to tell it to her!
Cathy – glad your latest eye treatments worked. It has been a tough year, hasn’t it? Here’s to a better 2025.
Verano – thanks for the salmon idea. I have no less than 6 pieces of salmon in the freezer. I buy them when they are on sale at the supermarket, and then rarely cook them! I am going to roast some kabocha squash and cauliflower this evening, so I’ll try this method and have some salmon along with the veg.

Yowzer … lovely to ‘see’ you’! All festive wishes to you too. ‘24 has been a great weight kiss year for you let 2025 be equally as good whichever way you want it to be.

    Happy holidays to everyone.

Let’s regroup in the new year and become even more positive in our outlook and in life!

Thank you for dropping in with festive good wishes Yowser.

I’m sure there are plenty of positives each day for most of us right now, but life is getting in the way of posting about them right now. That’s as it should be though, it’s important to take the time to appreciate all our blessings however small. So I’m just going to post one positive for now and that is soending time with family.

Whatever you are doing during the festive season, have a peaceful and joyful time and if none of us get around to posting here in the next week or so, we’ll reconvene here in 2025.

I’m sure the majority of us are now more focused on festive celebrations than the BSD. Allow yourself a little latitude, but try to make mindful food decisions when ever possible. Having said that, relax and don’t beat yourself up is things slide, we’ll soon be into a new year with a fresh start and new focus.

Enjoy your festive season and spending time with the special people in your life and we’ll ‘meet’ again in 2025.

    Hi everyone! MERRRRRRRY Christmas! 🥳
Ive lost 60 lbs since 6th June,32 lb of which lost on this latest challenge. Im happy with that as everything fits again now- and some things now too big have gone to charity shop.
I want to maintain this and not make the mistakes of last time, where most of it went on again,so I need the new challenge to help me keep in line! Plus I wd miss everyone too much if I got off the bus.
So heres to 2025 and thanks to DCT for all the challenges she has set up for us 🩷
In the meantime, happy Solstice to all and enjoy the festive season!
CCATHY so pleased youre seeing improvements now,you have had a rough time and I admire your courage.
SUEBLUE that book sounds interesting,we all need some little treats along the way.
    Love to all.
PS! I was thinking of an annoying acquaintance when i read this…good advice for the new year!….
Dont blame the clown for acting like a clown, blame yourself for going to the circus!

Merry Christmas to all my BSD friends . I think the 2025 year challenge sounds fab DCT and I love the title you’ve mentioned Sue. 2024 has been a rather challenging year for so many of us. Onwards and upwards. I’ve pretty much maintained over the last three months but did get down to 148 lb before my cruise in September. . I’m planning to get back on track in 2025. My eyesight is so much better since the vitrectomy and epiretinal peel three weeks ago! Right cataract scheduled for 10th Feb and toes will be done after that. My niece gets married in June so something to lose weight for!
I’m drawing a line under this year and looking forward to a fresh start. I know there are no guarantees as we look ahead but a positive mindset can’t be bad.
Thank you to everyone for another year’s support and friendship. See you all in 2025 and thank DCT for setting us up for a positive 2025. Lots of love to you all.

    Hello DCT and all,
DCT – I LOVE the idea of a one year thread! Was on Happy Scale earlier today and the prediction was I’d reach my first mini goal in April 2025 so I definitely need the whole year to get to where I want to be! I need to lose 6kg just to get back to where I was at the beginning of this year, and then
another 5-10kg after that to get to a weight id be comfortable at maintaining – so a definite YES from me 🙂
To be honest, I can’t wait to draw a line under this year, it’s been pretty bad tbh, not the worst I’ve had, but up there with the worst 🙁
So my theme for 2025 is “2025 Time to Come Alive!”
I hope all my friends on here have a lovely Christmas and New Year! Stay safe xx
I had an early Christmas present today – my OH bought me the new (to Australia anyway) Fast 800 treats book 🙂 looking forward to trying some of the recipes out 🙂
