My first post on here. Had an over 50s health check before Christmas and my blood pressure was 165/130. At least three stone overweight. I had bought the 8 week BSD book months earlier but hadn’t acted on it. On 22nd December, started having breakfast and lunch from the recipe book but regular evening meals and alcohol (too much) to ease into it. Started in earnest on 1st Jan and have weighed this morning – 11.5 lbs lost! Very pleased and looking forward to the next 5 weeks (sort of!). Good luck everyone.
