Hello, I was wondering if the 800 calories per day is for men and women? Seems that it should be a little less for women?
I’m 5’2″, elevated blood sugar, trying to lose 20lbs.( sorry don’t know how many stones that is! )
Today is my first day 🙂

    Yes it is for both.

It is cutting the carbs for the blood sugar, and the calorie count is about doing it quickly. But everyone will have a different deficit – the gap between what our body needs to sustain existing weight and the 800 cal. It is the gap that gives the weight loss – repeated daily 1000cal deficit = 1 kg loss in a week. The heavier you are the greater the potential loss in a week. Which is why is it fairer to know what the starting point is when comparing someone else’s great losses to my own so that not discouraged by the variation.
