Verano, so sorry you’re having a rough time … if it’s related to the time of the year, I can sympathise … although right now I’m having break from that.
Pootle, runny eggs are about the only time I miss bread …. to my mind it’s the only time bread is essential. Hope your rescue hens reward you well.

    My positive right now ….
🌴🌴 currently lucky enough to be enjoying some tropical weather … Will be making the most of it before having to face UK weather again at the weekend
I don’t need any other positive right now, just happy to be able to step into a new personal decade in a warm location.

Posting a positive to get this thread back up above the reported posts.
I interviewed a new counsellor yesterday and she seems lovely and is very experienced. My body breathed a sigh of relief when she was explaining her approach. I did not realize just how on edge I have been seeing my previous counsellor over the last few months. I am so glad I made the decision finally to not go back. I have 2 more interviews this week, but am already more hopeful that I will find someone I can work with. My motivation to cook and make healthy meals has already improved. I think I was under so much stress that the relationship with my previous counsellor had gone wrong that it was causing me to almost shut down. So interesting the impact of stress has on our bodies and well-being.

    Hello.
    Pootle rescue chickens!
OK so the bread arrived a little earlier. It’s a bit difficult for me to judge yet but I went for the low carb as opposed to the keto. I have sourdough white and wholegrain half bloomers. Also a seeded sourdough loaf which looks a rather strange grey colour but I’ll try it and see. It’s all feeling very fresh and it’s in the freezer now. The company is Robert Andrew. I used to buy Livlife bread which was really good but they no longer produce it unfortunately. I’ve tried Hey-lo but haven’t been too impressed. I don’t know if you ever buy low carb seeded loaf bread but if not be prepared for slices to be similar in size to ‘nimble’!

    So to my positives…..

👁️👁️👁️ Visit to optician who agrees my cataracts should be removed. Going forward with trepidation!

🍞🥐🥯 As above bread arrived will report back hen I’ve tested it out

📚👩🏻‍💻📚 Reading, well actually listening to, a really interesting book, “It’s not a Diet” by Davina Taylor. I’ve started journaling!

👩🏻✂️👩🏻 Hair cut and coloured yesterday which always makes me feel brighter.

Hope you’re finding positives at this miserable time of the year….
Oh! That reminds me just saw🌼🌼🌼 my first daffodils of the year (I know these aren’t daffs!)

Good to see positives being posted. Back from sunny climes now and not really appreciating the UK weather, however there are positives to be acknowledged, so here goes …
✈✈ managed to get a seat transfer on our flight home, giving us extra leg room for a more comfortable overnight trip
🧺🧺 first lot of holiday laundry done, only another three or four to go
🌸🌸 the hellebore gifted to me by friends, has given me its first bloomed …. deep red and sooo pretty 😍

Hope you’ll be able to post a positive or two of your own soon.

Always find it’s a difficult time of the year for finding positives, but feel I need to make that effort, so here’s an attempt for today …
🌻🌻 have completed the editing of the village newsletter for next month
🌻🌻 it stopped raining for an hour today
🌻🌻 have made arrangements to visit Dad for a few days next week
Nothing earth shattering, but the exercise of looking for high points and pluses is a good one, especially on gloomy days. Can you tell us about one of your positives?

Thanks for the reminder that we are inclined closer and closer to the clocks changing again, V. Tgink it us nice possible to see the days are noticeably getting a little longer now.

Right, so, I have a few positives to report, so here goes ….
🌼🌼 yesterday OH and GS worked on DD’s car, while she and I caught up on news
🌼🌼 DD and GS gave me belated birthday presents, a cheese making kit (wonderful) and … this one is just up my street …. a Happy Jar. It comes with a little pad of tear off notes and each day you record something positive, memorable or perhaps just made you smile and put it in the jar. At the end of the year, there’ll be lots of wonderful things to look back on.
🌼🌼 today there was no rain until early evening – the first day without rain for a ten hours straight since we came home on 18th Jan!
Going to have one more 🌼🌼 four of my hellebore plants are in bloom and three anemones are in bud🙂

Sunny what a wonderful idea … a Happy Jar. I think we would all benefit from one of those!

☀️🌈☀️ My positive today was a dip in my scales for the week. Happy bunny here!

Well done on the discard Verano … keep going! Yes, think we could all do with a Happy Jar. It’s such a simple idea, easily and cheaply replicated too. In fact, I already have already identified a pretty jar to use as my 2027’s Happy Jar.

Anyway, my positives for today ….
🌸🌸 packing done for my visit to my Dad’s, leaving tomorrow by coach
🌸🌸 booked most of the hotels for our spring drive out to Turkiye
🌸🌸 OH managed to take down a dead tree at the bottom of our garden without mishap. Always a bit nervous when he takes on jobs like that.

I wonder if there have been any positives in your day?
