How much is a knob of butter?

Hi,

I’m starting tomorrow and have been reading up on recipes, in the scrambled egg breakfast recipe it says ‘a knob of butter’ but just how much is this in grams?

I just looked it up on google and it says more than a pinch and less than a dollop. Really, it is about the amount you put on the end of your knife, enough to wet the bottom of a pan, around 25 grams. Try it, put some on the scales, how much do you need just to stop the egg from sticking to the pan.
