I bought a pencil skirt a few weeks ago, when I was in York – now it’s too big! I did buy a 14 because a 12 would have been ‘snug’ – should have known better😱

Looking forward to seeing you on my new thread😃 X

Still hitting the ground running at the mo, but getting on top of things now, so it’s getting easier, and guess what my smaller pants are now loose so I have two sizes of voluminous pants to add to the camping equipment.
Mind you if we keep loosing weight we might need the layers to keep us warm. Hehehe

Ladies, it is an entire naturist resort!!! We went last year and it was amazing to be able to walk down the street to the beach or go for a beer, in the buff! Initially odd, but very liberating! And this year I can feel more comfortable in my skin after the BSD success! Not that anyone will notice as there are all shapes and sizes there 🙂

I would say that seeing an old boy riding a bike in nothing but socks and trainers was a trifle hilarious though!!

No animals – but we need to find a trapeze artist? Or a tightrope walker? And a ringmaster. 😃

A cleaning company? Surely there must be another use! All those projects on Great British Sewing Bee, re-working clothes! Or cut them into strips to knit or crochet.

It felt strange actually to be holding back from buying a lot of the fruit n veg on display..in the past i’d have felt quite virtuous
The bakery part ..oh my goodness…from the massive birthday cakes to the individual amazing cakes to the gorgeous biscuits and varieties of bread..it made me feel a bit depressed..would i ever be able to sample such foods again? But strangely in another part of my brain, I was thinking..no i don’t even want them anyway!
So something has shifted somewhere somehow in last 101/2 weeks!

    Hi
I’ve not been logging on much recently – hope that everyone is well
I noticed the comments above about what to do with all the too big clothes – I did suggest a clothes swap thread a while ago!

I’ve been donating all of my smarter ‘work’ clothes to a fantastic charity called SmartWorks http://smartworks.org.uk/ – they work with women who are trying to get back into paid employment, and provide interview training and appropriate clothing; one of their biggest problems is getting enough clothes in larger sizes.
A charity that I used to work for refers clients to them, and it is a much needed service. I was horrified when I donated piles of stuff last year to a regular charity shop when I saw how little they actually made from it (I gift aided it, so they write back and tell you the total raised) – so I feel that donating to SmartWorks is a better option, and I’m planning to volunteer with them while I have some free time. They have offices in LONDON, EDINBURGH, READING, MANCHESTER & BIRMINGHAM (excuse the caps, copy & paste!)

I don’t want to buy new clothes yet, as I do not need many clothes, (retired and living in a warm place )so may be I can be a clown and hold up my long shorts with braces instead of the belt. i am sure I can find a red nose somewhere. My thoughts exactly, and the implication that everyone had got the info from the Mail not from the BBC programmes or online stuff etc etc.

But great pics and stories – is the standing with legs crossed a photographer’s thing, so many of the ladies are posed that way. Would all look fabulous with out any ‘thinning’ tricks on the lower body.

Yes, Captainlynne you looked great! Fabulous to hear your success story even if it wasn’t quite your words! 😉

Re the article as a whole, It’s such a hard line between “miraculous results” and the assumption it must be another “fad diet” when people want to focus on the results – of course! – and not the science behind it which makes it clear it’s not a “fad” like many others you read about on the net.

I noticed MM referred to “low carbohydrate Mediterranean Diet” when before I didn’t think the “low carb” came into it? I always thought the Mediterranean Diet description was confusing as you might well think that lots of pasta and pizza would be fine on that, wouldn’t you? Perhaps the descriptive words are changing slightly now?

And because “Trust me, I’m a doctor” is now on, perhaps MM is seen as trustworthy and his recommendations can be relied on?

So much previous (and current!) medical advice to reverse……

Still, we’re the people to keep proving it!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments 😃💐☕️

I’ll try to answer your questions/comments.

Antigone – I should be emailed some photos on Monday. They couldn’t do that until the article was published for copyright reasons.

Yowzer. – the shoes, clothes, and even the tights were provided! I was asked beforehand what size Clothes and shoes I wore. I have never in my life worn 4″ stilettos, and I don’t remember wearing ‘nude’ shoes either! The first outfit was a skirt and blouse, then the second was the dress. I had no say in what I wore, or which outfit was used in the final photo. Sorry, but the interview was before we started the circus😱💐

ruthdownunder – if I had done the interview in my professional capacity it would have been very different. I had discussed it with our media people as well as my boss. I know from bitter experience how careful you have to be when talking to journalists and it was safer to do this in my private capacity. Apologies to any media folk on here.

Avila – they positioned me in a variety of poses😱 Seeing photos in the Mail since, I noticed how often they use just a few poses! Legs crossed, or one knee bent in seem particularly popular. Hands by side or hand on hip. Stand on angle or front facing.

I was told that it had been a struggle to find anyone prepared to speak to them, and I understand that I was the only one off these forums. The others seem to all know one another from the Facebook group. It was mentioned that there may be a man appearing – that could be next week, if he decided to proceed.

Hope this helps. It was certainly an experience going for the photo shoot😱😃
