I add a small pinch at a time, stir, wait a minute and add a little more if needed. (I use milled chia, I think whole seeds might need longer to work.)
To thicken mince with chia seeds, use a ratio of about 1 tablespoon (10-12 grams) of chia seeds per cup (240 ml) of liquid. Stir the chia seeds directly into the mince and let it sit for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent clumping. Adjust the amount based on your desired thickness. For example, if your mince has 2 cups of liquid, use approximately 2 tablespoons (20-24 grams) of chia seeds. Chia seeds have a neutral flavor, so they won’t alter the taste of your dish.
