Hi Forkers, yes they are fine, they are the only root veg allowed. Do weight them as they are at the higher end of the veg scale for carbs!

    Hi Forkers
I think raw is fine, just count the cals. Have you ever seen a fat rabbit?
Do not panic on this plan, room for trial and error, being too strict on yourself sets you up to fail. Mindfulness, as recommended by MM, assists in de-stressing and removing the panic response. Munch away.

There is not a set portion, just weigh everything you eat, including all veggies and calculate the calories and carbs in whatever portion size you are having. Go cautiously with all root veggies regardless of whether they are cooked or not, as these are higher in carbs than above ground veggies by some way and in carrots, parsnips and beets those carbs contain sugars too.

Whatever carb levels you allocate to reach your goals, it is not about which particular vegetables you chose, but
how your carbs add up at the end of the day, not whether carrots are raw, cooked or roasted. 2 medium carrots
contain 8 net carbs. All root vegetables are high, and are best avoided if you are insulin resistant and need to keep
    carbs <20 per day.
