How do I know the calorie amount in fresh meat, and how much are you supposed to eat per meal, also are the calorie amounts correct which are on the packets.
    Thanks

You can look up the calorie and carb content of anything by simply googling the name of the product and “nutrition.” I use My Fitness Pal which has a large searchable database of both generic foods (eg, basil, ribeye steak, cremini mushrooms) and brand name products. Not only does it give you all the calorie and macronutrient information, it will add everything up for you when you’re using multiple ingredients. It makes it easy to plan and log meals.

There’s no set amount of what you’re supposed to eat. Every kind of meat is different in calorie count. Beef, for example, being higher in fat than chicken, will take up a good number of your limited calories, but as long as you plan intelligently, you can adjust the portion size to work within your limits.

The nutritional information on packaged goods can be accurate or entirely fraudulent. There have been several scandals regarding ostensible low-carb bread substitutes, for instance, which turned out to be full of wheat, sugar and lies. As a general rule, the less processed the food, the more accurate the information.

I use My fitness pal app you can scan barcodes and it loads up all the info or search for something. Its won’t let you complete your diary at the end of the day (it thinks 800cal is too low) but you don’t need to to that to keep track. Also lets you log any activity and track your weightloss & its Free!!
