    Looks like the rest of the world is catching up with Prof. Taylors research. He started by giving gastric bypass patients a diet of 600 calories but also advocates intermittent fasting. Going so low is difficult with diabetes due to the threat of hypos and it is done with medical supervision i.e. people actually in a hospital being watched carefully.
