This topic has come up in the forum a lot of times. – The books do not give advice on macros. They are only intended as an 8 week program.
Those of us who have a lot of weight to discard have looked for other sources of information. Other experts recommend 20g of carbs if you want to be certain of being in ketosis. Protein is 0.6 to 0.8g of protein per kg of TARGET weight for a woman, and 0.8g to 1g for a man. – But this should be raised slightly for the over 60’s. The rest of your calories come from fat.
