Popping in to say Hi!
My diet is already low carb by Western standards, so this time it’s been all about calorie control and portion size. The first time I did all this I had so many cravings and carbs habits to contend with. This time, I’ve found I can quite easily fast for 24hrs and this has been the easiest way to go. I’ve never managed more than 15hrs before.
Drinks:: counting milk as food has been pivotal – tea only in afternoon and only with lactose free milk. Otherwise black coffee and water. I normally don’t like water, but I’m so thirsty (good sign) it’s not a problem. Gin not wine, but mostly not gin either, just water.
Food: seedy salads with cheese and meat and lots of other veg thrown in. Yoghurt – smaller portion size than normal with only one or two raspberries, less almonds, same chia seeds.
Seeds – pivotal for me for bowel health. Towards the end of the first 8 weeks I did it got pretty unpleasant. Chia seeds are my best friend! I value my bowel health a lot (something I never thought I’d say aloud) and it’s worth looking after.
Motivation: I want to look like the person I think I am again! Also, I want the energy to go do my things. Also also, I have a guilt about plastic packaging – this keeps me away from snacks and some supermarket food. I think it’s helpful not to always be motivated by myself. For me any how.
Score on door: 72.6kg – 2.6kg to not be overweight and another 4 or so after that to feel in my prime.
Onwards, onwards!
