Tuna Patties with out the bread. These are half Patti and half Falafel

Ingredients

• 2 x 185g Tin of Tuna (I used in oil)
• 1 x 240g Tin Chickpeas
• Juice of one lemon
• Tsp crushed Garlic
• handful of Coriander
• 2 x chilli's
• Salt n PepperPlus any other flavouring you like:
• Cumin
• Spring Onion
• Paprica
• etc

Method

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Divide into 8 patties and shape. I fried these but they lose their shape a little so I think they would be ideal to cook in the sandwich press.

I have not tried these, but you mentioned that they don’t stay together well. Adding one or two eggs might help them to adhere and remain as nicely shaped patties.

The flavour is lovely. It definitely needs an egg to bind the mixture together, though.

The recipe doesn’t mention the oil needed for frying the patties, so including that and the egg, the total calories per serve (2 patties) may be higher than indicated.
