Steamed Cauliflower w/ browned butter
• Head Cauliflower
• Salted butter
• Extra salt to taste (sea salt is good)
Steam a head of cauliflower (just white part) to the level of crunchiness you like. Brown some salted butter in a pan (2 to 3 tablespoons) .... slowly until it kind of gets brown bits
Take cauliflower out of steamer and while still hot, pour over the hot browned butter (it should sizzle when poured over). I usually add salt.
I can eat the whole head at 1 sitting!
You can break up the cauliflower flower in pieces instead of steaming whole and vary the amount of butter and salt.
It does seem to taste best if your browned butter is poured over the cauliflower while everything is still hot ... and eat right away.
