You will be missed, Sunshine Girl. I do understand since you have perhaps outgrown this forum, and it seems like the site is dwindling down and being infiltrated with spam posts. I also have been debating about staying involved, since my weight loss efforts have been less than consistent, and definitely have not at the 800-calorie level, but I do love the feeling of “checking in.”
I’m also preparing for a doctor visit, Sunshine, which will happen on March 17, so trying to get weight down for that, although I will still be obese regardless. Then on March 20 I’ll be gone for a week on the desert trip with my daughter and granddaughter.
My daughter turned 40 last month and because of that has been of a mind to start getting all kinds of first-time health screenings – mammogram, colonoscopy, lab work, nutrition counseling, etc. She unfortunately just got word today that she needs to return for a secondary mammogram and perhaps even an ultrasound. Apparently this is not uncommon and just a way to get a clearer view and solid baseline, but that doesn’t make a person feel any less anxious. She won’t be having that until after our trip, so hope she’ll be able to have a good time in spite of that hanging over her head. As her mom, I’m of course anxious, too, and reminded that I need to get my own mammogram scheduled.
