Help please! We have just started BSD and the week1 veg curry recipe says to use butternut squash. I really don’t like it. Any suggestions as to what I could use instead please?

I am not a curry buff (actually can’t stand spicy food!)
But I have omitted an ingredient or substituted celeriac, cauliflower or courgette in other recipes.
I am sure there will be some cooks on here who will be able to advise! 👩🍳🧑🍳

Don’t worry too much about sticking to the recipes religiously. As Pootle says substitute the squash with something like cauliflower or you could add green beans or broccoli. I think the secret is not to substitute with ‘carby’ vegetables like potatoes! Actually, squash has around 12g of carbs per 100g so you would be safe using swede, celeriac, caulifower or any green vegetables.
