Remove the slippers of sulkiness for the hills are once again alive with the sounds of dieters. I have had chicken jalfry which was on the cheeky side along with quinoa and a Lucky wrap. Two Willies for pudding ☺️

As I’m ‘working from home’ tomorrow I think I may cook my next experimental recipe…..

Wow, I bought Big Magic on Sunday, Izzy! I’m trying to work through the older ones I’ve bought first though. I have heard of Eat Pray Love but haven’t read it myself. I’ve heard it’s a bit Marmite. I’ve read Room, a few years ago.

Evenin’ Janey 😉 And what is the next experiment? The slippers of sulkiness are back in their box, still unworn.

i shall join the confessional, today i had a chocolate biscuit. but i have since paid the penance of the beetroot falafels with salad. So feel almost righteous. Not such a disaster as the dreaded fish cakes.

Aren’t kids wonderful, my daughter once bought her then boyfriend home for a weekend and he stayed or about 11 weeks in the end. He barely seemed to function on any human level. But as she finished at Uni she finished with him by going to Tokyo to work for 5 years.

I am watching a programme featuring Michael Mosley the O H recorded it for me from Tuesday. so far interesting

What’s it called, is it on Catch up? Oh and I missed Man Down last night, I didn’t even know there was a new series due. Thank God for catch up TV. Love Greg Davies, one of my guilty crushes.

I had a soft spot for Rik Mayall too. So sad that he passed away, but the old dear who plays the auntie is absolutely fab.

You’re so lucky seeing him live! I’ve seen the DVD’s, thought his first one was funniest though. I’ve seen ‘The Holy Trinity of the Phoenix Club’ – Dave Spikey, Peter Kay, Paddy McGuinness, Peter Kay was pants wettingly funny, and – possibly my weirdest crush – Johnny Vegas. I adore Johnny Vegas, he’s so cute and cuddly. But he was very, very drunk too.

Morning, my little chickpea munchers! How are we all today? I’m a pound up today, in a re-run of this time four weeks ago *nods knowingly* but now that I’m ‘old hat’ at all this, I am not going to go cray-cray about it, I am going to see what I am on the scale tomorrow, accept it, switch the scale to kilos, and take my measurements. Ready to press on for another week.

According to my meal planner, I’m making the pizza loaf thing for tea. We’ll see.

Yeah I’m ok, I know what it is anyway, and it will remedy itself in a couple of days. No hissy fits, no RADA moments, I promise you 😉

I’m wondering what the easiest thing to make today would be. Devil me is on my left shoulder whispering ‘Kebab’ into my ear lol. This is what I’m thinking about, doesn’t look too taxing, think it was Janey who posted it a couple of days ago http://beautyandthefoodie.com/grain-free-stuffed-pizza-bread/ I don’t need to bake anything sweet yet as I have scones and muffins in my freezer and we’re just not wanting them at the moment, even the healthy ones. What a difference 5 weeks makes! Have a feeling I’m going to end up in a ball on my cuddle chair with a hot water bottle and a fleecy blankie later so I’m going to push on as much as I can now. Keep us updated as to what you’re making Tokyo, what’s for tea tonight for you guys? Fritatta??? 😛

Morning campers… this is post 977! We will be through the 1k mark before the day is out!

Lucky, come away from those scales, they’re still recovering from last month’s repairs. You know that is a ‘lady pound’ and will come off again in the next 48 hours 😉 Tokyo – your tea sounds lovely.. keep the hubby out of the kitchen!!! I want to see how those pizza breads turn out Lucky!

I am working from home today which is nice in some ways (don’t have to get dressed / cats keep my company and sit on the laptop to keep warm / I can wander about thinking of Paleo things to cook), but also bad because not only do I do my job I also end up changing beds/hoovering/cleaning.. and checking the cupboards for things to eat. Fortunately the latter is less of an issue nowadays (I can’t even be bothered to have brekkie so far this morning – unheard of pre BSD!) but I do object to being Cinderella as well as career girl on the same day 🙁

Fart bread sandwich for lunch…let the experiment continue!

Morning Janey! Eeeeeh a thread milestone! Exciting! Lady pound, is another for the FAQ/Glossary, methinks! Too funny. Hubby is asking is it his time of the month too, because he’s put on a pound as well?

I saw something nice last night in an email newsletter http://blog.jamesvillas.co.uk/my-holiday-dish-prawns-with-chorizo-sherry/?utm_content=main+body&utm_source=email+UK&utm_medium=jvh&utm_campaign=140716

I’d imagine without the bread it would be ok? Not sure on the sherry though, any ideas? Suppose red wine would work there as well.

Not only do you do your job, and your housework, but you now have the added distraction of this thread… 😛

Are you going to Breville the sarnie?

I have to confess that when I switch on the PC in the mornings, as soon as I’ve logged into our company platform, my next port of call is this thread to catch up with the BSD gang!!

Not sure about that recipe as I don’t like sherry and not overly keen on prawns( original husband of many decades ago made a prawn curry and then told me he was leaving me – its a mental block!)

Good on you Lucky, that lady pound will be gone again in no time. (love it Janey)

So delighted it’s Friday. Had breakfast of loads of green leaves, blue cheese and slice of pear and few walnuts. Was really nice but hungry again now ;-( Nothing beats eggs, I don’t know why I try to be interesting.

Kind of craving crumble at the moment, I wonder what that’s about. Not exactly roasting here these days, maybe I think it’s winter. I’ve tried making a healthy version of it before but it still too many calories. Maybe I’ll have some MEAT later! That should help I hope

No, I meant that you log into your company platform BEFORE checking this thread…? That’s awful!

Just kidding. It’s nice when things work out in the end, isn’t it? Whenever I start on the line of thinking about my ex and wishing I’d never met him I think; a) my son, and b) if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have been in the exact place at the exact time that I needed to be to meet my now husband. Everything in my life, good and bad, has led me to where I am now. Very lucky, very blessed and very happy.

If you’re hungry, you must eat. Or would a willie or two tide you over?

Morning Eps, it could well be, you know? Looking out of my window at the weather, it’s just like Autumn/Winter and it’s triggering off dumpling mode, I think I said the other day. When you look out at sun and blue skies, you tend to think lighter food. I do, anyway. Are you talking savoury or sweet crumble? That’s the only thing with these flours, they’re just nuts aren’t they, and what do nuts make??? Calories! I used to make a nice crumble for my GF friend using oats. Did I read that they are ok as long as they are a certain type? And in moderation?

Think the jumbo oats are okay but very limited amounts of them, as far as I remember in the book. I had them sometimes with those chia seeds and berries, left over night – yuuuum.

ha ha ha is there such a thing as savoury crumble??? ;-))) Definitely sweet – like with molten gorgeous rhubarb and some delicious topping. And then some Fage yoghurt on top. 🙂

I’ve had this recipe for coconut flour crumble mix for a while but haven’t tried it yet (loads of lovely rhubarb in the freezer too.)
It may be good or not but maybe worth a try

    Servings: Covers a 9″ pie
    Preparation Time: 5 minutes

    1/2 cup coconut flour
    1/2 cup
    shredded coconut
    2 Tablespoons softened
    coconut oil

Place all ingredients in a bowl.

    Using hands, mix together.

Sprinkle over the top of your favourite pie/dessert.

Cook as per pie directions – rotating pie if needed to get even browning.

Double recipe for a thicker crumble or to cover a larger area.
