I’m on day 2 of the BSD and although I’m not hungry, I do find I’m missing eating. I was wondering whether chewing sugar-free gum might help with that. But then I wondered whether that would make it harder to break my sweet tooth, which is one of the things I’m really hoping to do. Do other people use gum? Good thing or not?

I’ve never used gum, I hate chewing chewing with no swallowing. Sounds like torture! And could it lead your body to expect food which would trigger a release of insulin – just what you don’t want? I believe artificial sweetness do that, don’t know about gum.

Yes, good point. I’ll try and stick without it.
