Hi, I am new to this forum and think its wonderful to have an online support group. I have been on the blood sugar diet for 5 days. I really like the diet . I am keen to lose lots of weight and lower my blood sugar. However I have a concern about whether the diet might increase cortisol which would have a negative impact on weight loss. (By way of background a few years ago I was on a strict low cal paleo diet and working out fairly intensively. I lost about 10 pounds and then plateaued and started to gain fat around my waist – which I understand is one of the signs of elevated cortisol ). Wondered if anyone could provide any insight or comments regarding this issue.
