I am just starting the BSD and have the cookbook but I have some recipes of my own I think I could adapt. What I need is a reliable website or book that gives the calories and protein for a variety of foods so I can work out the overall calories and protein for my meals. Can anyone advise?

Hi Anne LL, adaptating old favorites was my approach as well. I use MyFitnessPal. If you’re in the UK, Fat Secret might work better for you since it has a larger database of British brands. Their websites and apps both do all the calculating for you. All you have to do is scan a bar code or search for a product and select the serving size you used.

Welcome to the BSD and good luck!
