I will be in transit for approximately 20 hours coming up very soon and am looking for some advice. I’ve ordered Asian vegetarian for the long-haul flight and anticipate lots of yummy Indian legume and vegetable dishes. What else can I do to keep from starving while I’m in transit?

Can you take some fruit like an apple, pear, berries or are they not allowed on planes. A packet of nuts (not peanuts as they are banned on a lot of airlines), some almonds and walnuts. You need to check first with the airline.

    Hi Shoshi
Some small cheese snacks like Babybel or cheese sticks. A packet of jerky meat if you eat meat, and if it’s allowed through customs. If there are soups available at the airport food concessions then that would be a good choice – especially tom-yum or pho.
