Hi, I’m 58, and today (25th March 2022) I ordered the Blood Sugar Diet book and recipe book. My current weight is around 16 st 10. I want to lose about 6 stone.

Thank you Sunshine and Merry – what lovely names!

Well I took a look at the other threads, but I think I will just stick to updating this one from time to time. I really need to spend less time on the computer and start to move more.

It’s still very much baby steps for me. The BSD book and recipe book have arrived. So glad the recipe book has some pictures. I have made one change to my weekly grocery order – I am swapping my usual custard for natural yoghurt to eat when I have tinned apricots. Not only is the yoghurt less calories and less sugar, but less money too! Yay! And the Yeo Valley natural yoghurt is delicious. I have to say I’m not a fan of the other brands. I don’t like their tanginess.

I have also decided to continue weighing on the first of each month with hubby (who does not need to lose weight at the mo).

Well that’s the current situation! Bye for now 🙂

Hi 6stone, watch out for the sugar content of tinned fruits but at least you have made one change with the yoghurt. Doesnt matter if you do it your way. There is a recipe in one of the books for grilled apricots (could be peaches) which are marinated overnight in olive oil, cinnamon and lime or lemon juice. When these fruits are more in season you can ditch the tinned stuff.
