Easy and so tasty!

Ingredients

• Heck 97% sausages
• Green Beans
• Baby plum tomatoes
• Salt & pepper
• Olive oil

Method

Put the green beans & tomatoes in oven roasting dish, season and add a little touch of olive oil.
Sit the sausages on top & roast uncovered in oven for 25 mins.
Then serve!

So easy & delicious - by my calculations only 404 calories. I've only had 140 today so this was a real treat.

Heck is a brand e.g. Heinz and are sold at Asda. They make different types of sausage including chicken.

Just been into Waitrose where they have Heck sausages – they’re as calorific as any other decent sausages at around 210 each. Chipolatas are a good alternative – you feel like you’re having 2-3 sausages but it’s only costing around half the cals.

I substituted asparagus for green beans, and including the tomatoes, added in a yellow pepper for some colour. I didn’t have any Heck sausages and used Waitrose’s free range Cumberland sausages (I hope it’s okay to use proprietary names – oh well, what the “Heck”!). Unfortunately they only contain 87% meat compared with the Heck sausages. I will use Heck sausages in future.

I enjoyed my meal very much and will keep the remainder for my packed lunch tomorrow. Thank you, OdetteL

I get venison ‘Scottish slimmers’ sausages from Aldi in Scotland ( 64% venison 16% pork ) 57 kcal each. Don’t know how that compares? Admittedly no danger of shot remaining in pork, but so far have had none in any venison either! Am trying to cut down pork in favour of venison as healthy option. This is such an easy and tasty recipe. Thanks.

I made this, the sausages were good but quite calorific. Heck also do a chicken chipolata range which are much less.
I made the calories for 2 Heck sausages, 100g fine beans ad 1/2 a roasted red pepper 328 calories.
When I made the chicken ones I had 3 chipolatas, 1/2 can of heinz less sugar less salt baked beans, 2 portobello mushrooms and 10g of grated mozarella on top of the cheese and it came to 302 calories. Very filling and tasty.
