Charred Haricots Vert

A different way of preparing green beans that tastes delicious, makes a real change to having them steamed (again!). Tastes amazing.
I came across the recipe at a local cookery club.

Ingredients

• 500g french beans (trimmed)
• Olive oil 20ml (recipe says to taste, I'm guessing)
• Salt and pepper to taste

Method

turn the oven on and preheat to 250c
blanche the beans in boiling water
drain the beans and coat them with oil and season with salt and pepper
Spread the beans out on a baking tray
Bake them at 250c for about 10 minutes or until lightly charred.
