Hi guys, nice to see all our successes ! We are all a success for commiting to this, whether we lost or not this week
I think the reindeer can feel the difference! The sleigh’s not quite as heavy to pull as it was last week!
I lost a pound and a half this week…total of 57 1/2 lbs in 20 weeks..a happy bunny! X

VERANO I agree.. I must admit I have some feelings of trepidation about maintenance!
CALIFORNIAGIRL what advice wd you give? X
VERANO I too love lettuce sandwiches…much nicer in fact than bread sandwiches…like you said, crisp romaine or little gem make the best ones! X -
Hi Sunshine-girl
Have been teaching since this morning and have just dropped in before I start getting ready for the evening sessions. A very hectic day today.Just read your posts and wondered if you could cut a tablet in half. I know that you can’t with some tablets but perhaps a pharmacy would know. If you could it would be a good way to slowly drop your meds. I agree with you that dropping insulin a little also would be good.
-
Yes krysia, that was my thought, they are easy to break. Will see how BG is when I take it at 6pm your time (in 25 mins). If it is low in the pm I will cut the gliclizide in half and reduce insulin to 22 units.
This course some of you are signing up for, is the the Diabetes Epidemic course???
-
Hello all, checking in for start of week two with 1kg down from last week (my week 9 done). Very happy with that. 🙂
I have looked back over daily losses and found that I have sat at lots of ‘plateaus’ throughout. Pretty well before a good loss, I stay at the same weight and often increase a bit for up to 7 days at a time. However, averaged 1k per week loss since the start. So I feel very relaxed about the scales doing their thing as there is a clear pattern for me.
Fun reading your posts! Be strong xx
-
Yowzer … I can assure you maintenance for me is in the far far distant future!!!! To be honest we seem to have ‘lost” so many people so far, sure many more will post, but those reindeer are going so fast with so few of us you’d better hold on tight!!!
Well done on your overall loss it’s great and the 1.5lb this week is very respectable!
-
Okay, BG this morning 3.2 this evening 3.9m time to reduce meds again.
-
So great to read how everyone is doing, the losses are awesome and the benefits to our health are immense.
Well done everyone! -
Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is doing well today. After a 2 kilo increase after a tricky social weekend I have lost 1.5 kilos in two days which I am pretty thrilled with. The problem is this is my pattern nearly every weekend so haven’t actually gone down any further after my 5 kilo loss in nearly 8 weeks!!
Thank god for this thread though, it’s making me determined to push on through now till Xmas, am enjoying reading everyone’s collective journey and and any advice gratefully accepted!
Have a great day everyone! -
As well as grain foods being very profitable for a lot of industries, I was reading about how they have been essential to our current civilisation developing. Most grains will keep for months without any special preservation or freezing, which made them excellent for storage, travel and trade. It is a problem we are now so reliant on them.
-
Hi all you strictly peeps,
Have lost .6 k this week, been a very busy, nerve wracking week, so trying very hard to eye swerve goodies etc.
Going to batch cook soup tomorrow, in my great soup maker so easy. Think I will make curried butternit squash, lush, glad to see you are all doing well. Kkkkeeeeep dancing 💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃
Aim for next week to loose a kilo. Plan plan plan 😇 -
Is it ok to join this now? only started again yesterday?
-
Hi Verano. Is it ok for me to join?
I’ve been doing BSD for just a month (started 28th October) and currently lost 15.6 lbs. Long term I want to lose 65 lbs. I’m amazed how easy (so far) it has been to stick to 800 calories and low carbs. Previous dieting has always been a struggle and have constantly been hungry. But with BSD I have rarely been hungry at all and don’t keep thinking about food all the time!!
I’ve learned so much from reading this thread today and looking forward to getting a good few pounds more off before Christmas. -
Hi Sunshinegirl
I’m sure you know this, but as a newbie T2D patient (hate that word.!) I didn’t. glicozide is the drug used to reduce BG quickly and my doc says that’s the one to look at if BS gets too low. But I never ever reduce meds without GP say-so, usually by phoning after a few lower readings. – though, mine have never been below 4.
Can you time your meds differently? I feel a bit nauseous and light headed in the morning if my fBS goes much below 4.8, and since I often need to drive long distances with an early start, was advised to take glico later in the day – about 11, and again at 6 in evening. Starting (and stopping it) made the biggest difference to weight gain/loss. The GP told me it’s known as a drug that not just inhibits weight loss, also in lots of people it leads to weight gain. Astonishing to me that the drug companies have developed diabetes meds that make you gain weight!
Good luck with it all. A nice problem to have, I’m longing for the day my BS returns to normal levels on diet alone. Weight loss is brilliant but the blood sugar issue is the one i really want to crack. The doctor has put the fear of God into me about losing my sight.Re unhelpful introductions, my mum, who was unfortunate enough to have one chubby child and two tall, willowy ones, often introduced my sister and I as ‘so this is my pretty daughter and this is my clever daughter, but she’s on a diet…’ Because I always was! Her shame in my shape to her dying day hasdeeply coloured my sense of worth To this day. MK x
Lettuce sandwiches – never thought/heard of those. I love this Forum!
-
Hi All,no weigh loss for me . Its my own fault as I have not been strict,I met with Marsie from this forum on Monday. Its amazing how much we had to chat about. I saved some cals so I could have a treat and we ordered almond and orange cake to share but surprisingly, I did not want it as much as I thought and we were too busy talking to eat. After a couple of hours talking,I felt really unwell when I got home, BGL was 4.8 which is quite low for me and I started to eat anything and everything.Yesterday, I was better but its only today that I’m back on track. I have bought all the goodies for our Christmas party this saturday and Im really busy cleaning and decorating the house.Im serving a full meal, turkey, Ham ,fish, roast vegies, side salads, pavlova, chocolates.fresh fruit ,cheese board and lots of booze.the good thing is I usually get sick of the sight of the food so by the time its all on the table I have lost interest. Ive decided that If Im strict most of the time ,one day of some indulgence is Ok.I m going for fresh fruit as I love stone fruit and strawberries with cream. Probably a piece of sourdough bread with of course BUTTER,I think its only once a year and I have no other functions.I’m also surprisingly confident that I can get back on plan whenever I decide .With so many of us on board, Ive decided to post less often ,every couple of days as its hard to keep up with 20to30 emails every morning, cheers To all

DAY 2 … WEEK 2
Good morning
Welcome Midnight Pumpkin and Carole H hope you enjoy this thread.
Maharani … little gem lettuce is best for ‘sandwiches’ if you can get it because it makes nice 2 bite creations of loveliness!
Well after a good first week yesterday was a challenge. I was even reduced to sniffing a mince pie!!! Then I thought about the 30 or so carbs and put it back in the box! Nonetheless I didn’t manage any of my 5-a-day yesterday … no oat cakes with cheese, had 2 with stilton, no oat ginger biscuits with my coffee, had 1, half my usual chocolate ration = 1 square, had 4, no wine, yes had lots, and 2 litres of water don’t think I even had 1. So there it is in all its glory!!! Needless to say the scales have moved up this morning.
BUT I’ve confessed so I can now move on and start today as a new day. I keep a note of how much I lose each month and as we only have one day left in November I will have to have another soup only day I think!!
For anyone struggling just remember we’re only human and will falter sometimes the real secret is to get back on track as soon as you can. The only real failure is in failing to start again!
Hope you bg is a little better this morning sunshine-girl.
Have a good day.
-
Good morning all.
I am late checking in after our first week as we are away for a couple of days. I weighed in on Monday and had lost one and a half pounds. Not much but did have a couple of “do’s” last week and I have not been keeping the calories to 800. I hope to keep in control but have my big birthday next week with lots of celebrations and then Christmas starts!
Let’s all keep hanging on to the sleigh and support each other on the trip.
X B -
Well done to all of you who have had success this week. Wish I could report a loss but have gained a pound. Hoping it may come off later in the week.
-
After a really hectic day yesterday its lovely to sit here with a cup of coffee and read all the posts.
Well done to everyone for all the weight losses. I am sure I heard a sigh of relief from the reindeer.
Cleverblonde73 – that’s my first thought also ‘OMG their carbs must be through the roof’. So happily I must be low carb brainwashed also.
Well done jmarie41 for throwing away the junk food. It does feel so good to get rid of the temptation once the visitors go. That was always my downfall before BSD.
Californiagirl – that is so interesting. The healthy place for fat deposits is on thighs – so your metabolism has completely changed. Although the weight loss and good blood sugars are fantastic, there must be so many more good things going on unseen inside our bodies on this way of eating. How wonderful that we now have the tools to make these changes with the BSD.
-
Good morning! My weight a little better this morning (yay). As important an issue as weight loss is, it’s really helpful to keep the overall goal in mind – our health, our lives in some cases. I want to stay vital as I get older (61 now) and not use age as an excuse for problems that are actually lifestyle related! I am still in shock at how much better I feel since starting BSD four weeks ago. It’s as if I’ve got my life back!
Verano, you are an inspiration- I lost 4 or 5 stone 20 or so years ago and have kept most of it off – the key for me was not to let a split second of weakness convince me I was a total disaster or complete failure as a human being (perhaps a weakness I already had). Tackling a weight issue is heroic, anyone who does it should stand tall and be proud even in the moments when our resolve forsakes us.
We are here to cheer each other on to finish the race no matter how tough it gets, in the end we’ll have no regrets if we pick ourselves up and keep at it!
Happy Wednesday everyone.

Hiiii new posters and welcome x
Congrats to losers and those who havent..remember,tomorrow is another day! You may get that whoosh moment!DAISIESMUM..such wise words and well said ….x
CLEVERBLONDE ..Me too,my first thoughts are always the C word..carb-related.x
MAHARANI ..Your mums words must have been hard for you..i wonder why she was like that,i’ m sure she didnt mean to be hurtful…maybe her own parents were the same and she did it thoughtlessly 🙁
It’s difficult for us even as adults to get those critical parent words out of our heads xJAN so good to see you, happy soupmaking today x love yr dancing girls! Are you old enough to remember the Tiller Girls kicking their legs up on Sunday night TV? My nan used to hold the Sunday newspaper “The Catholic Pictorial” in front of my bachelor Uncle’s face so he couldnt see them! He was about fifty years of age at the time, bless him. She obviously didnt want him to get any ‘ funny ideas’! X
Have a happy last day of November everyone! X -
Morning all,
So after my initial disappointment yesterday I decided to kick myself up the butt! 19.5lbs in 4 weeks? I’d have given my high teeth for that 4 weeks ago so I’m going to shut up and push on!
I went for a 20 minute walk yesterday lunchtime and another 35 minute walk last night after my dinner so I hit the 10,000+ steps. I’m hoping that if I keep on walking every day that it might make a difference.
I’m still going to the loo furthest away at work which seems to be adding about 3000 steps a day to my total too (thanks to the 2.5-3 litres of water!) so all good.
I skipped breakfast again today to stretch my fast and will have lunch at 12.00, I feel like it gives me a bit more choice on what I can have as I don’t have to be so strict with the calorie portions across 2 meals as I do 3. Not sure if I’ll be able to do that every day though but will see if it makes a difference on the scales next week.
I was wondering why I was struggling to stay under 50g of carbs until I realised the portion of beetroot I have everyday with my salad is a whopping 9gs on it’s own, so I’ll be ditching that from now, or at least have a much smaller portion!
It’s so blooming cold today, -5 my car registered at 7.30am and it’s so frosty it looks like snow, I like it! It means the sun is shining and it feels Christmassy! I work in a school and break up on the 16th December so am really looking forward to that.
Last day of November – not nearly organised enough for Christmas 🙁 Note to self – get on with it!
Weight loss wishes to all.
Nicky x -
morning all, no weight loss today. Reduced insulin by one unit and morning BG is 5.4 so will leave things alone for now.
MaharaniKitten, thanks for that, I know that gliclizide can lower BG to very low levels and I have previously reduce from 90mg daily to 60mg. I have to take it in the morning as it tops up my short duration insulin. Lucky to be lowering BG so I am very happy, just don’t want to do it too fast (or too slow). I will be seeing Dr. on Monday and will discuss further but as he doesn’t speak any English I had better get my words ready. I will leave the glics for now, I would love to be rid of the insulin.
Went swimming with my friend this morning and she asked about my diabetes, she said mine must be more serious than other people but I explained no, I just obsess about it more. She told me her husband is T2 but doesn’t like anyone to know about it. That is one problem, people dont talk about it. Another problem is that people dont realise how serious it is in the long term. Usually when you get the diagnosis the doctor just tells you that you have to live with it, keep your carbs up so you dont hypo and take your meds. Also if you are told something is chronic and progressive you dont ever think there is anything you can do about it. But we know we can. He is in a good position, very fit and healthy and has HBA1c of 5.0 and is on one metformin daily. I have given her the link as she says he is very open to new ideas and watches all the Dr.M programmes. Hopefully, we will have a new recruit.
Have a good day everyone.
-
Morning everyone. Very much looking forward to my chilly sunshine walk in my lunch break today. I love reading everyone’s posts documenting their journey and sometimes think we are too tough on ourselves. If only I had not eaten that or if I had done a bit more exercise I would be 1lb down this morning rather than stuck on the same weight etc.
Anyway I guess my message for today is think back to the beginning and see the big picture. I was having a sort out of my purse/handbag this morning. (You know the thing, where you wonder how on earth or indeed why you have managed to store about 6 months of receipts) when I came across some old supermarket receipts. Looking through the items bought made me realise just how far I have come in the past 6 weeks.
Pat on the back for everyone on the BSD journey, it doesn’t matter if its slow or fast just as long as its the right direction xx
-
Well said CLEVERBLONDE 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
We’re often too hard on ourselves…i love this saying…
” Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you’ve got to go.
You may not be where you want to be,but neither are you where you used to be! ” x
Always worth bearing in mind when the scales arent being kind xx -
Cleverblonde73
We still marvel at the cost of our weekly supermarket shop. Last Friday we bought two Christmas presents with our shopping and the bill was still significantly lower than it used to be. There are now aisles in the supermarket that we never go down now. -
Good morning fellow sleigh members! Lots of interesting posts this morning/last night/yesterday/today — it is funny being on a different time zone!
Verano — I wanted to say thank you for your good moderator work on this thread.
MaharaniKitten — I think your mom actually gave you a huge compliment when she called you clever — even if she wrapped it in sour grapes.
NickyH43 — huge loss! Congratulations!
KrysiaD — like you my grocery bills are tiny compared to before! So much I just don’t eat and so many aisles I won’t even walk down. Only fancy cheeses blow the budget but when you’re eating only an ounce or two at a time it takes a long time to eat it up LOL!
And Cleverblonde73 and Yowzer49, thank you for your reminder words of wisdom — we ARE doing well. It doesn’t have to be perfect. We are enriching and improving our lives everyday as we move forward. Someone give the reindeer a carrot — this sleigh is movin! -
Just spoken to my GP. I had a liver test (scan and bloods) last month because my first blood test in August indicated I may have fatty liver disease.
Results three months later are the scan showed no signs of a fatty liver and blood results normal. Well chuffed.
In the US at the moment – breakfast was steak and eggs and lunch was a burger ‘protein style’ – no bun (lettuce instead) and no burger sauce, just onions and dill pickle. Off to a fish restaurant for dinner so not as bad BSD-wise as I feared.
-
Well done Jules!!! That really is an early Xmas present! It will be much easier to stick with BSD after those results although it sounds as though you’re doing really well anyway.
We’ve been talking about lettuce ‘sandwiches’ but I bet lettuce burgers are equally as delicious. May just have that for dinner tonight! Thanks for the idea.
Enjoy the rest of your trip (even if it is business)!
-
Talking about lettuce …. we’ve mentioned ‘sandwiches’ and now burgers but I guess hot dogs, as in low carb sausages or veggie sausages, would also work well. Crispy duck and lettuce, doesn’t sound as good as with pancakes, but might even be better!
There’s a Chinese dish of shredded lamb in lettuce but could also do shreddded beef or pork of even chicken!Thinking about it there are probably endless fillings we used to put between two slices of bread that would be just as good, if not better, wrapped up in lettuce!!
-
There’s a restaurant chain in the US (well PA anyway) called PF Changs and they do a fabulous spicy shredded chicken which they serve with a half iceberg lettuce instead of pancakes – I had it when I was over there – delicious!
-
Fajitas are OK with lettuce, romaine or broad leaf, instead of tortillas. Nice to make the fajita extra spicy to counteract the coolness of the lettuce and allows you to indulge in the messiness of fajita assembly and demolition.
-
Hey sleigh buddies
What a wonderful day with all that sunshine on the frost. We have pheasants in the garden and despite being incredibly stupid birds they look lovely striding about the frosty grass. They seem to be plumping up unless they fluff their feathers to keep warm and then I say to myself I wonder if they are BSD friendly! No I must stop it..I cannot just look at the wildlife and think of roasting them.
I had a really tasty minced beef stuffed aubergine for dinner just fancied something a bit spicy and warming in this weather and it does the trick I feel all cosy now. My German friend was explaining this Hugge phenomenon she said in Europe people gets all cosy and warm together fires jumpers candles warming food and alcohol but she finds in the UK people tend to hunker down on their own.
Anyway hope you are all wrapped up warm and cosy for the night and have had another great day.
-
I would just like to say a huge ‘thank you’ just for being here.
I’ve had a rough day. First time since I started BSD that I just wanted to eat ‘rubbish, rubbish and more rubbish’!!!
Thank goodness JulesMaigret posted about burgers and lettuce. So he saved me from myself …. I had vege burgers in the freezer, so cooked them and then wrapped them in lettuce with sliced tomato and pickled cucumbers and a tablespoon of mayo mixed with horseradish. It just hit the spot !!!!
Had it not been for that timely post I think I may have just gone down the high carb route maybe chips with ???? but definitely ending up with the mince pies I resisted last night!!!
Thank goodness for these boards and especially this one, you’ve helped me stop an iffy day becoming a disaster. Thanks again.
-
Ouch, on the same day as reading in the Telegraph that playing racquet sports could save your life, badminton tried to kill me. I fell over backwards trying to run backwards and made a three point landing on my right wrist, right buttock and cracked the back of my head open on one of those wooden benches. I am just speculating but maybe my sense of balance needs to catch up with my new shape. No concussion as far as i can tell, and it didn’t bleed heavily or for long suggesting that it isn’t deep but I am definitely sore!
-
MIX you poor thing! Ouch!
Please be careful re concussion..DD is off work with it at the moment after minor car accident in a taxi
went to work for 4 days afterwards then found she had concussion coz she saw doctor as she felt odd and vague and had bad nose bleed. So get checked out. And if you do happen to have concussion, make sure you rest. Xx -
I’ll be careful. The coach called my husband to come out so he could follow me as I drove home, just as a precaution, but apart from minor shock symptoms at the time, I hardly notice the head injury now. I am far more bothered by the hand and buttock soreness. I will see how I go when it gets to bedtime, but I am prepared to get checked out if anything develops over the next few days.
-
Mixnmatch you’ve lost your inbuilt buttock cushioning! But being healthy helps you heal faster, so hopefully you feel better after a good night’s sleep.
JulesMaigret I too have fajitas with lettuce instead of tortilla wraps. Tacos I just have as a salad now, all the fillings (meat, cheese, salad, jalapeños and salsa) piled up without the taco shell. One of my favourites. I think no one has mentioned san choy bau? Pork mince with various veges chopped up fine, cooked with oyster sauce and traditionally served in lettuce leaf cups.
-
JulesMaigret -such good news about your liver. You must be so pleased.
Mixnmatch hope you feel a bit less sore tomorrow. The one problem with all this weight loss is that we don’t bounce as well as we did before.
I rushed home from work this evening to watch the last episode of Missing. It was so good and very tense and I am afraid I ate 3 pieces of 85% chocolate as I watched it and also had a cup of coffee which is why I can’t sleep now.
-
Hi everyone. Great to read all your posts. Have been super good today and walked 17,136 steps (7.33 miles), had really low carbs 45g and only 486 calories, despite a huge plateful of food at lunchtime (smoked fish and vegetables). Hoping to kick-start a bit more weight loss as it’s been a bit slow for the last few days.
Mixnmatch – hope you’re feeling a bit less sore tomorrow; poor you!
Well, tomorrow we are off to visit my mum (aged 92 and still in her own home and no carers!!) for a couple of days and then on to see some old friends. Going to be impossible to weigh everything whilst staying in other people’s houses for a week but will try to keep the spirit of BSD. Just avoid carbs as much as possible and try not to be my (hopefully old) greedy self!! Fingers crossed it won’t damage my weight loss too badly. 🙏
-
DAY 3 … WEEK 2
Good morning everyone
Well where did November go?? So December 1st and the third day of our second week. Hope you’re all doing well.
We had a 101 ways with cauliflower now we have a plethora of ways to use a lettuce leaf!!! Certainly saved me yesterday!
I keep track of my monthly weight loss and I knew November wouldn’t be brilliant, I lost an overall 3.8lbs BUT during November I actually lost 11.2lbs!!! So I put on over 7lbs and lost it again. Can you imagine how happy I would be today if I had only lost!!! When will I ever learn. Have to say though that that little exercise of totalling my losses and gains over the month has made me realise how much hard work I’m putting in just to stand still!! Will do better this month … despite holidays, I’m away from the weekend, and xmas!
Hope you’re not too sore this morning Mixnmatch. If you are badly bruised try Movelat Gel it’s brilliant for bruises!
Welcome to a new month and have a good day.
-
Great to hear how everyone is doing. What a brilliant start to December. Hope you all have chocolate free Advent calendars this year ! ( Finding the traditional ones isn’t easy )
Mixnmatch – hope you aren’t too sore today, sounded painful .
Jules- excellent news about your liver. Enjoy the U.S. trip.
KrysiaD – The Missing was superb. Kept me out of the kitchen . Hope Baptiste returns.
Carole – good luck next week, I am away to so know it won’t be easy.
I was so close to caving in yesterday but glad I didn’t as I have now lost the 2 lbs I gained at the weekend .
13 lbs lost, fingers crossed for the stone by Saturday when I am off to a posh ‘do’. -
Not an official weigh-in day and I’m sure there will be an upward blip to come at some point soon as I have been very unstrict recently, but this morning I weighed in at 79.9 kg. So just over 10% of my body weight down since I started the BSD and the first time in the 70 kg range (even if only just and probably just for today) in maybe 18 years. Thought I’d report in as it might keep me on the straight and narrow between now and next Tuesday!
Hope you all have a brilliant day.
-
Verano – the finale of The Missing certainly kept us on the edge of our seats. Do hope also that Baptiste returns in series 3. It was so funny last night – you have never seen a class pack away their mats so fast at the end of a session. They virtually ran out of the hall so they would get back in time to see it.
Have been looking for a low carb soup I could have for a snack or light lunch. My usual carrot, onion and cabbage soup is a bit high in carbs and since the broccoli and cheese soup seems a bit tasteless and I absolutely hate miso soup so that’s a no no.
Had a brainwave in the middle of the night – could you use kale and celery (which my fridge is always full of) in a similar way. So have just sauteed an onion and frozen chopped garlic in a little butter and then simmered it with 100g of kale, some celery sticks, tsp mixed herbs, homemade bone broth, salt, pepper, 2 tsp chicken stock powder and tsp of mustard powder.
Just had a little cup full – absolutely delicious. Very low carb and it made loads of soup. I use a bamix stick blender and it struggled a bit because the soup was so was so full of fibre. I wonder if the secret ingredient is the mustard – have never thought of adding it to soup until I made the broccoli soup and it makes soup so tasty.
So I can add some cheese to make it into a light meal or have it without cheese before a meal or as a snack. What a lovely way (together with the broccoli soup) to add some really healthy low carb veg to my meals.
-
Congratulations Snoop – great news that you are now in the 70s range. It is so motivating when you suddenly reach a weight so haven’t been at for so many years.
-
Christmas time – mistletoe and wine…..and mince pies, and huge tins of chocolate and cake and roast potatoes…sorry – that’s not helping 😀
Have to say The Missing finale was awesome – and better than the end of the last series that left WAY too many loose ends! No spoilers though.
Hope day 3, week 2 is going well for everyone – I am completely steeling myself to basically say NO to everyone that comes into my office offering me treats. I will NOT NOT NOT start the new year 10lbs heavier like I always do – I just WON’T HAVE IT!!! People have been saying for a couple of weeks that I shouldn’t lose any more weight and I’m pretty sure they will make that their mission during December. Last night it was a packet of shortbread thrust into my hand, today, who knows!!
Shields up everyone!
Have a good day xxx
-
Krysia D, have you tried courgette soup. Sauté onions and courgettes, add salt, pepper and nutmeg. Simmer with chicken or veg stock. Blend until smooth with milk or some cream. It’s my standby soup but sounds as though you have already found a good recipe.
-
My first week weigh-in today…I’ve lost 1.4 kilos, so just off my 1.5kg target, so I am pleased. I haven’t been super, super strict on some days as I have been quite hungry and weak at times. I did feel a little ropey a few days ago but that seems to have passed now. I still feel rather hungry but not weak and even though I’m feeling hungry, I fancy eating any old rubbish, so my taste buds seem to be changing. I am also sticking to all of my exercise goals
I’m looking forward to the coming week….onwards and upwards (well, preferably downwards :-P)
-
my official 6 week weigh in tomorrow morning. I know any losses will be small but really hoping it’s a move in the right direction.
Trying to deal with the stress of selling our house at the moment, no offers yet and the house we wanted to buy was sold. However thanks to issues with their buyer it’s back on the market today. We have a viewing tomorrow, am willing them to like it and make us an offer, so I can offer on my dream home! Feeling the need to share so I don’t drown myself in a vat of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk!!Hope everyone has a good day.
Hazel 🙂

Peapod
The courgette soup sounds a really good tasty low carb soup also. Have copied it and it is added to my BSD recipes file and have just printed off a copy.Had got really tired of my cabbage carrot and onion soup so it is great to have these tasty low carb alternatives. Will try it at the weekend as I want to have soup every day to up my veg intake. So thank you for the recipe.
Topcac – well done for resisting the shortbread.
Fingers crossed Hazel that your house will be sold really quickly. We really don’t want you to drown in a vat of Cadburys Dairy Milk.
CosmicGoddess – great weight loss this week.
