We all know that a clean environment and solid hardware are key to a stable system, but I’ve found that the physical “hardware” on my desk matters just as much during those late-night kernel builds.

I’ve moved away from flimsy office cups to something that actually feels like it belongs in a dev’s workspace. I recently picked up the Maverick Viking coffee mug, and it’s become my go-to “workhorse.” It’s built like a tank—heavy, durable, and has that raw, industrial aesthetic that fits the BSD philosophy of “simple and robust.”

Does anyone else have specific “desk gear” that’s survived years of use? Or do you just stick to whatever is in the breakroom?
