I was just reading something about Prof Roy Taylor’s work (for those that may not know – Taylor’s work is the science that showed that calorie restriction can cause dissipation of fat in the pancreas and diabetic remission) and it said…….diabetics may achieve remission when losing about 20 percent of their PREDIAGNOSIS weight. I have been struggling with high fasting morning readings and I realised I have a lot more weight to lose and this may have the desired effect. I kicked off the fast800 at a much higher weight than last known prediagnosis weight so it stands to reason that I still have a good way to go. It gives me hope for improvement of blood sugar control and a bit of impetus to try harder to lose weight.
